We are embracing the blooms this time at Allsorts Challenge. Lynn has chosen the optional theme of
FLOWERS
Of course your Anything Goes projects are also welcome.
Here is what I made.
I have remained very good and have been using my stash this year. The pretty stamp that I used for my card is among one of my first crafty purchases. Flourishes was the company, probably long since ceassed trading as I cant find them anywhere. It was heat embossed and then colourwashed with mica paints for a bit of shimmer. The paper layers are from a pad from The Works and die cut with torn edge dies from here.
Despite the lack of rain my own garden is faring very well, the roses are glorious and we invested in bedding plants for the pots and borders this year so it is really lovely and colourful. The lawn and fields are looking pretty parched though and there's no rain of any consequence in sight.
Whatever you are up to, have a good weekend.
So feminine Sarah, love the DPs and those fab deckle edged dies too. My borders are looking very brown despite the annuals, even the Cosmos is stunted! The large pond is so low that the sheep can walk around it and into the hay meadow!! Can't blame them as the grass is so bare, they are even jumping the fence into my garden, :( Hope this weekend brings some much needed rain. :)
ReplyDeleteA very pretty card which I seem to have seen a week or two ago, thank you.
ReplyDeleteRoses seem to be linking he dry weather, some of the best blooms for years.

That flower-themed card is absolutely radiant, Sarah! The shimmer from the mica paints adds such elegance and depth—like a dew-kissed bloom catching morning light. I love that you've honored one of your first crafty purchases with this design; it brings a beautiful sense of nostalgia and purpose. The torn edge dies give the layers a natural softness that pairs perfectly with the embossed florals. Your garden sounds like a slice of paradise, too—full of color despite the dry spell. What a lovely reflection of your creative spirit.

ReplyDeleteHi Sarah
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card. Gorgeous image and paper choices.
It sounds like you are being very good at using up your stash. I am trying hard to resist new design paper pads .. .. .. but my eyes always wander across to them as I walk past The Works. But they don't appear to have had any new ones for ages now .. which is probably a good thing! LOL!!!
Hope you had a good weekend.
Love and hugs
Jules xoxo
