Krafty christmas

Happy Easter everyone!! Hope the Easter bunny has left lots of choccy goodness!!

Spring and Easter creations seem to have been the order of the day lately so my Christmas card drive has taken a back seat. However, to redress the balance I have thrown one together with a few current challenges in mind and this is what I did

I had a challenge win and chose this adorable little owl as part of my prize and coloured him with Pro/Flexmarkers. I embossed the kraft card with an old Cuttlebug folder and then rubbed gilding wax over the raised snowflakes. The twinkle is by Glamour Dust and liquid pearls. I've had the burlap/hessian ribbon in my stash for ages so thought it was about time it saw light of day.

I was inspired by these challenges

Brown sugar #90 -  Use Burlap
Allsorts #255 - Birds & Feathers
Christmas Fun - April challenge
ABC Christmas Challenge - H for Home (I'm thinking homespun?)
Scribble and Scrap #16 - Anything Goes

Have a lovely Easter Sunday and BH Monday. Martin is working this morning but we are hoping to have a drive out this afternoon.

Thanks, as always, for coming to see me  and for your kind words. xx

  13. Hi Sarah, Happy Easter. Your sweet little owl made a beautiful card. I love his little red self, with all the pretty background embossing and especially the red gingham. That grabs my eye every time. The burlap bow was darling. Good for you on the win. My snippets were taking over..I had some in several boxes, also plenty piled around on the desk and my cutting area. (Still need to clean up the desk). When I saw the colored boxes, I thought it would be good to just toss the appropriate color into that box(I'm more apt to toss in a box, than file in a folder! LOL). I HOPE this strategy will help me be a bit more organized. I still have boxes of things from the garage sale early in the month that need to get put away. I did manage to clean up a bit (at least to my eyes...anyone else would think it still a big mess). I am hoping to do a bit more this afternoon. I really needed to get round & enjoy some inspiration first however. Hope the rain goes away for you, and your area gets some sunshine. I think of you when I watch Doc M on Saturday nights. I watched the Horse dvd MC did and that's such a lovely area where you live. Hugs & TFS
