Christmas Card #1

Hello again!! My New Year's resolution last year was to make a Christmas card every month, which to be fair, I managed for a few months. This year will be a cinch as I am thrilled and delighted beyond words to be a new DT member of  



and I'm back to share my debut offering!!


The fabulous jumper was stamped onto knitted effect paper and I then paper pieced the (Promarker coloured) reindeer and fashioned a bauble using circle dies. The ribbon was colour matched with a Promarker and the sentiment stamped onto a scrap of knitted paper too.

So then, before you put away your Christmas stamps, papers and dies (and stuff that you have bought in the sales and are dying to try out!!) our challenge theme is easy peasy Anything Goes and lasts a month so you have plenty of time!!

    Wow Sarah, you've been busy. A very Happy New Year to you! I love this card, great idea for the wee jumper. I feel like I've just about seized up over the Christmas break and need a rocket up my behind to get going with some crafting again! I've just been printed off some digi's for my next couple of DT projects so I suppose that's a start. All the best for 2015, Shona xx.

    Hi Sarah - thank you for your lovely comments on my own 'debut' card for CCAYR.
    Like you I am so chuffed to have been chosen! I love your card as well, I thought it had been knitted at first, that paper is brilliant for your design. It's really weird to think I used to put my Christmas stash away after December - wouldn't dream of it now!

    Congrats on your new DT assignment. This will surely help your Christmas stash grow (our CCClub does that for me, as does Rudolph Day). Love the look of your paper pieced reindeer on that fab knit texture (that's new to me! Love it). Great idea to make the design an ornament with the circle dies, as it worked super. TFS & Hugs.
