A lampshade...whatever next?!!

Hello my crafty friends I have a late finish at work tonight :0(
which means a late start this morning :0), so Surprise and I have been out and about disturbing the pheasants and bunnies of Dorset and I've even found time to post my latest creation which is.....
ta dah....a lamp!!

Don't laugh...I decided that I really should make use of the CC Sweet Treats embossing boards and CD rom (that have been collecting dust for quite some time!!) and intended to make a popcorn box. However, when I had it turned upside down to glue the crochet lace and  pearls in place inspiration struck and it became a lamp!! Little Maggie got another outing and a pretty pink paper pieced dress using the opposite side of the paper scrap.

Here is a shot to show the inked edges and dodgy gluing!!

Lucky there are a few perfect challenges to enter at the moment...

Bunny Zoe's April - Not Square + pink, lace & pearls
Crafty Creations #287 - Seeing Spots
Alphabet Challenge - E = Eyecatching Edges

Wishing you a happy day xx

  37. What a clever idea & it turned out to be such an adorable lamp. Really love the cute image and all that lovely lace. Gluing around the cylinder must have been tricky, but you've done a great job putting together all the elements to make something so useful & pretty at the same time. TFS & Hugs
