Just chicken up

Hello one and all, hope this finds you well today. The early rain has gone and left us with a rather nice day so we are off out for lunch at a favourite haunt down by the sea.

I took inspiration from a few challenges for my card today and using a favourite colour combo came up with this.

I was after a country kitchen feel here so had to use gingham, and the pretty floral paper is from Nitwits. I have been spending (again!!) and my newest addition is the Tonic Layering Scalloped Squares set which created pretty edged mats in different sizes. I coloured Henny Penny with Promarkers and enhanced the feathers with my white Sakura gel pen.

The little corner sentiment was from an Inky Doodles set and glittered with a glittery pen.
The diddy flowers were punched and a little gem added to the centre.

The gorgeous ribbon was hiding in my stash, so too the twine and wooden button.

You can also see the pretty scallops of my die cut edges too.

Some challenges

Polka Doodles #19 - Things with wings
Moving Along With The Times - Birds and Feathers
Crafty Calendar - Things with wings
Animal Friends - Animals with feathers
Penny Black and More - Dies and punches
Ladybug Crafts - Favourite colours

Have a lovely day xx

  14. Love this sweet country chick, and she's adorable paired with the soothing color scheme. Like the tiny scallops on those dies - perfect to set off this wonderful card. Thnks for the update on Man & Beast. Was just reading about that on a FBook blog...Lucky you! Saw that our USA PBS will air Arthur & George this fall, so delighted to hear that. I love the horse show as well...of course I'm idiotic about all that MC does. What a talented versatile actor he is, and it's great to see him smiling - since he seldom does in Doc Martin. When I rewatch some of the 1st series, he has a tantalizing glimpse of an almost smile in several of them. I also find I like his short haircut too! Enjoy your delicious afternoon away. Hugs & TFS
