Favourite Flower

Hello lovely people today I am here with my DT piece for

and our new theme is your favourite flower and why?

It's sunflowers for me simply because they are such happy flowers, I would love them to thrive in my garden but sadly every time I have tried to grow them the nasty old wind blows them right over so I have given up trying :0( However, last month I was so very lucky to win candy from the lovely lady that is Debbie Simpson  (thanks again Debs x) and it was three Sizzix floral die sets and, yay, one of them was this glorious sunflower. I had such a lovely time die cutting and putting it together and liberally slathering it in WOS . The hessian was from my stash and the sentiment came from Scrap & Craft. I resisted the temptation to add more and just let the sunflower "be" for it's own sake.

  10. Gorgeous, gorgeous card Sarah! I'm totally with you on the sunflower thing. (it's odd really, because until I started crafting, I never liked them much. Didn't like pink either! lol). Andthey go so very, very well with Hessian, don't they?

  19. Oh how gorgeous - the gingham and hessian combo is the perfect backdrop to your fab sunflower :-)
I have 2 sunflowers in my garden...nearly as tall as me, and amazingly not flattened by the wind a couple of evenings ago...but they are tied to bamboo canes!

    Big hugs, Kat xx
