First day

Well, the little darlings have gone back to school here in the UK. My BIG darling is back to Uni in a couple of weeks and his Girlfriend, Laura, had her first day at School yesterday...as an Infant School Teacher!!

This is the card that I made for her


I paid a long overdue visit to Saturated Canary for Tammy Pie whose resemblance to Laura is uncanny. She was coloured with Promarkers and I added the snippet of Farmer's Market paper, that came from my scraps, to add a bit more colour. I typed a sentiment inside which read
" Teachers change the world...one child at a time!".
I am reliably informed that she loved it and that she ended her first day in one piece!!

    Isn't it just lovely to find a image that's just what you meed, and as you say looks like the wonderful young lady.

    That looks like a perfect card for the son's girfriend Sarah and the paper echoes the apple image perfectly.

    My daughter is head of ethics at her school and I often joke with her whatever happened to the apple for teacher when she comes home with chocolates and wine from students - yes wine.

    What a fantastic card.. Love that image and your layout and colouring is great..
    glad she had a good first day,. I do admire all the teacher and assistants, don't think I would have the patience lol..
    My boys are back on Monday so enjoying the last da days together :-(

    I wish Laura all the best in her new job. My youngest hopes to be a teacher, she starts her A levels on Friday so has a long way to go yet!

    Fab card Sarah and best wishes to your son's girlfriend on her new post. Whose more scared her or the kids?
    My daughter went back on Tuesday, no kids but a new classroom to decorate after the builders have left a blank canvas.:)

    What a delish card to make for a young teacher to start school. Love the dp at the top and that very chic young lady with her specs. I bet you'll enjoy the quiet since your 'student' has returned to college too, although I know you miss them at first. Enjoy Monday. I'm waiting (not so patiently) for Acorn to show it, and also got the dvds preordered. Will be watching Arthur & George Sunday night on Masterpiece Theater. Have seen it on youtube, but was hard to watch it that way. TFS & TKs for watching Doc for me. Hugs.
