AYLI - Ways to add a sentiment

Hello friends, another fortnight has whizzed by so I am here to encourage you to join in with the new challenge at

This is a good one!! We would like to see the way you like to add a sentiment to your project and tell us why.

I always used to stay safe and stamp on a label or banner just in case it went wrong!! However,  I bought a stamping platform and that has all changed, I am brave enough to stamp direct on my project because if you make a boo boo you can stamp again and again  without smudges...ace!!

So, here is my card and not a cute image in sight!!

I decided that I needed some grown up stamp sets in my stash so treated myself to this lovely Concord and 9th set, Beautiful Branches.
There you go, a grown up card!!

That's all for now, see you soon xx

  1. A very sophisticated CAS card Sarah. I must agree that stamping sentiments using a stamping platform has transformed my card making too. No more patchy stamping to ruin a design! :)

  3. How very pretty and delicate Sarah, could persuade me Spring is on it's way, although you would never think so looking at our sodden paddocks. It's a perfect creation for our 'Floral' theme at Stamping Sensations challenge, many thanks for joining in.

  11. Hi Sarah,
yes what a super grown up card and that stamped image is so gorgeous.
Love the wonderful colouring of the flowers, and they remind me of Spring which we all hope will be soon around the corner.
I too am with you and would not have attempted a sentiment stamped straight onto my card without my stamping platform.
I sometimes stamp free hand if I am stamping backgrounds and such, and there again some stamps stamp perfectly first time and some don't and you never know unless you do a test run first.
Have a wonderful wekend and I do hope the rain keeps off not good for Surprises hooves.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  26. Gorgeous grown up card Sarah, a beautiful floral stamp. Hope you have been getting your unused inks out this week for a play. I should not have bought the sparkle and aqua markers as like you have far too much unused stash but they just jumped into my basket xx

  29. Those stamping platforms really have revolutionized stamping haven't they? I confess, as a CAS style person, I've always stamped direct to my card, or almost always and many, many times I've had to fill it in with a super fine tip pen! I love that you now feel comfortable with CAS, Sarah, because you have real talent for it! Hugs, Darnell

  41. This is so funny ... not your card, your card is just lovely. I had a conversation with my daughter explaining to her why I needed grown up cards in my stash. It's beyond her comprehension. All cards are beautiful and appropriate for adults according to her. Glad to know I'm not the only one that feels the need to have adult cards in their stash. Makes me feel more normal. Thanks so much for the inspiration.
    Have a great day.
    Hugs,
    Lena
