An interesting kind of sketch!!

Hello lovely peeps. I hope you had a good weekend. Dare I say it, but it looks like the months of rain may be coming to an end here in the UK and I was able to go dog walking, do horsey/field stuff  and gardening without waterproofs yesterday...bliss!! This was our lane water feature on Wednesday morning!! I had been waiting for the hairy kids to say that they don't want to get wet but they never did!!!

Anyway the inspiration for today's card came from here, such an unusual and striking sketch, I just had to play.

The papers were free with a magazine ages ago and the stamps are from a Clearly Besotted set,
Rockin' Robin, coloured with Promarkers. Another Christmas card for the box!!

I hope to see you soon xx

  5. Always enjoy seeing the pictures surrounding your area of the world. It's rainy here today, very dreary. It was uplifting to enjoy these darling robins and how cute you've interpreted the sketch. It's a unique look, and how very cool you had the perfect background papers to go with these delicious robins! Your English robins are much more colorful than our American version (who are rather drab, aside from the burnt orange chest.) Have a good week, hope it stays dry for you. TFS & Hugs

  8. Hi Sarah, looks like your lane could be a carbon copy of our street when it pours here, at least we finally got guttering and it no longer makes it down our drive and into the sheds. Looks like Bowie and Bumble were enjoying the water too.
I love your fun card and a fabulous take on the fun sketch, love the little robins... Have a wonderful week... hope every thing starts to dry out... Megan

  11. Love the water feature :D. Our feline furries definitely won't go out in the rain they say it messes up their fur. They had a lovely time in the sun yesterday morning but in the afternoon we had fog.
Fabulous Christmas card! The magazine papers were just perfect to go with you really cute robins. Love the added snowflakes. Debra x

  12. Fab DP and love those cheeky robins!
Your lane looks a lot like the lane at the top of our drive, saw a few 4x4s take it were carefully when out with Max. Unfortunately the drive is also suffering, the join in the new pipe the Railtrack lot replaced last year has sprung a leak and is carving out two tracks down the incline!!!!! Al says he can't do anything as it's not our track and the useless B next door won't do a thing as it would mean he has to show his face.
Sun shining now so we'll make the most of it. x
