Squares!!

It' been a while since I have had the chance to put a handful of challenges in the mix and come up with something to satisfy all of them.

With squares, matching boxes tags and buttons and bows I came up with this.

A card with a matching box to accommodate the bundle of ribbons and twine...

...and the card on it's own which looks very wobbly. I used a wet glue instead of my usual Collall glue gel and the card warped :0(

I used Bo Bunny Pincushion paper pad for the card base and the box, such pretty colours I think. The darling LOTV stamp was a Birthday present, and was coloured with Promarkers. To finish off I bundled some coordinating ribbon, twine and lace together and attached behind a button.

Ta dah!!

The challenges that inspired me

Allsorts #462 - Be there or be square
Crafty Calendar - Buttons and/or bows
My time to craft #368 - Bag or box with matching tag
Addicted to stamps #163 - Balloons, bunting or presents

Amazingly I will be back tomorrow with some DT inspiration for you, until then xx

  2. A lovely card Sarah and I love the bears. I have the same warping trouble with wet glue and only now use it for adding embellishments. I use a strong gluestick for papers which doesn't cause the same problem. xx

  16. Aww Sarah, you've so nailed the 'Squares' challenge!! I LOVE what you've done for this theme. The box is gorgeous and the wee patchwork paper finish is brilliant!! I so need to do something similar for my Mother in law's birthday which is coming up really soon. She's a quilter and would LOVE this! Those bears are adorable, love the soft colouring. Truly gorgeous creation hun. Hugs, Wends xoxo (P.S. I didn't spot the warping hun, but have had that happen recently too, so I won't be using alternate wet glues again. I usually use Pinflair glue for things I need to have a little 'give' when I'm placing them. Perfect for bows and flowers too!)

  17. Honestly, it has even more character this way, Sarah! With the popularity of wonky dies, we would have all thought your card was meant to be that way! It's truly adorable and a gift unto itself with that sensational matching box!! Hugs, Darnell

  19. Those papers are wonderful and the bears are darling. I often fret about how to present a "bumpy" card, but his is a perfect answer. Love this!

  20. What a delightful card and matching box! The bears are so cute and coloured beautifully to go with the rather yummy papers which really pop with the black mats. The button with assorted ribbons, twine and lace looks fab and such a great way to use up your scraps. Good luck in all the challenges. Debra x

  25. Wow gorgeous card and beautiful matching box too! It's so annoying to have cards warp, mine does it too especially if I'm too heavy handed with my clear gloss.
