A paper wallet

Hello again folks. I hope that the week has been kind to you so far.

We have another lovely theme for you at

where we would love to see your favourite way to decorate a gift card. I must admit that I only ever give the boys gift cards or cash (straight into their bank accounts!!) so this make was actually a bit of an excuse to make something entirely different and an unusual way to present a Birthday gift.

Once again, I took inspiration from the fabulous Sam Calcott (Mixed Up Craft) and made this wallet/purse, complete with coin pocket and slots for gift cards and even a pocket for cash.

This is the front and the little fold over bit fastens with a magnet.

Once opened it look like this...

Flip it over and the gift card and/or cash section is found by lifting another magnetic closure.

It was really easy to put together once all the components were cut to size and I also think it would make a lovely way to give show tickets or even send ATCs.

I used a 12 x 12 paper pad from The Range so everything co-ordinated and added just a smidge of plain cardstock and a flower to decorate.

If you are still here, thank you, it's been lovely to have your company!

Now I am heading over to Allsorts Challenges 13th Birthday Challenge with gift wallet in hand!!

See you soon xx

  6. You have created a really pretty gift wallet Sarah and really like the colours. My project for today may just be something along the same lines as I've been wondering what to use for some ££££'s for a certain horsey girl who is getting married next Thursday (eventually).

It's lovely to see you at our Allsorts 13th Birthday celebrations, thanks so much for joining in the fun.

  13. Hi Sarah, that's a very clever project - such pretty papers and lovely colour choices.

I have to say I'm mildly embarrassed to say that I've never made any sort of money wallet or gift card! I really must try to widen my horizons from straight forward one fold cards!
