Don't these weekends roll around, I can hardly believe that we are changing the clocks tonight in the UK. That means it really is autumn, which leads me nicely to Brenda's optional theme at Allsorts Challenge which is
Autumn Colours
I am in my element here as I LOVE the colours that the berrrrr (September, October, November) months bring with them.
Once again, I had a good old rummage through my crafty stash and found many card candi boxes (remember them from Craftwork cards?!), that triggered the memory of a Woodware stamp and this card was born!!
As luck would have it I had the perfect complimentary piece of paper in a very old Doodlebug Designs pad so used that (and the reverse side of the trimmed off bit) for the background. a jolly nice card to have "just in case".
Prizes this time from Stamp Addicts,
I hope to get some leaf kicking walks in this weekend and probably some acorn collecting too. As it's been a "mast" year we have had more fruit, nuts and berries than ever before which has meant an absolute glut of acorns from our three oaks. They can be addictive to horses and in large quantities can cause death so we've had to fence them off and remove the acorns. It's a great workout!!
See you soon xx

Card Candi, got loads of the stuff in a drawer somewhere!! Very autumnal and a fab sentiment.
ReplyDeletePlenty of acorns here, been falling for a monthor more but some sheep have been gorging and ended up at the knackers as a result! Too many trees to be able to keep them away but it's never been a problem before. :(
I have lots of CC Card Candi too Sarah! Your Woodware stamp is perfect for using some up! GREAT autumnal card xxx
ReplyDeletea brilliant image and choice of colours in the card candy and background paper
ReplyDeleteI found my candi the other day - unlike you it went back in the box, must do better! You've made a gorgeous card and what a lovely sentiment. (I didn't know that about Horses and acorns!)
ReplyDeleteYour card is so cheerful in it's autumn colors.
ReplyDeleteGreat image and sentiment!
Striking card Sarah, great image and like the sentiment and lovely background paper.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful with these pretty autumn colors.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stamps and card Sarah and love the flowers and colourful papers..I used to love collecting acorns as a kid, we lived opposite a park in those days and acorns were plentiful, used to glue their hats back on if they fell off..fun time.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Sarah. I have enough Card Candi to last me several lifetimes! We went for a long walk along our local cycle path today, the path was a carpet of red, yellow, orange and brown leaves.
