Ellie is holding the fort at Allsorts this time and her optional theme is
Men or Boys (anything goes also welcome)
This is a theme that I struggle with despite Husband, two Sons and a Grandson!!
I had a little mooch through my paper pads and found a very old Craftwork Cards 8x8 pad called Coastal that inspired me. I have had a lot of fun heat embossing lately so chose a large sentiment stamp set (Mama Elephant, Make a Wish) and used Wow EP in Pepper. Matted and layered three of the papers and Bob's your Uncle...a male card!!
Two A5 stamp sets from Sweet Poppy
Looking forward to seeing what you make. See you soon xx
Likewise on struggling despite three Son's but think this is perfect, a real statement card.

Love those DPs Sarah, you've made a great masculine card with them too. :)
ReplyDeleteThe coastal palette and layered papers give this such an easy, relaxed feel, and the bold embossed sentiment sits so confidently against the softer backgrounds. The mix of textures keeps the design lively without adding clutter, and the clean structure makes it a perfect masculine card.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of your papers to make this very stylish card.
ReplyDeleteA fabulous bold sentiment and papers
ReplyDeleteFabulous masculine card, great papers and like the large sentiment. I struggle with masculine cards too and like you have a hubby , two boys and grandsons.
ReplyDeleteHa! You make it sound easy!
ReplyDeleteLove the huge sentiment!
It's perfect for the theme and you found such great papers in your stash!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Sarah! A great design for anyone's birthday. x

ReplyDeleteI can't remember if I've commented on this one. Loving all the blues and the large sentiment Sarah, lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove the matting and layering at jaunty angles. Heat embossing always looks classy. All in all, a fab masculine card. xxx
ReplyDeleteI love this look, just so crisp and delicious!
