Simply Cuties

Hello Friends. I hope this Monday finds you well, if not then I am sending you a great big hug.

I have a cutie to share with you today in support of the new challenge

where the theme is Simply Cuties so, in essence, CAS. Here's mine

I used a super cute LOTV rubber stamp (available as a digi here) that I coloured with Promarkers and backed with a lovely rich purple card. The sentiment is also from an old rubber LOTV set.

Looking forward to seeing your cute CAS cards.

See you soon xx

White Christmas

Hello my lovely friends and visitors. I really hope that you are all safe and well today and continue to be so in the ever changing times we are currently facing.

Let's not think about that for a minute and let me spread a bit of Christmas cheer!!

The theme is White Christmas

I went a bit CAS with my card. I used a pre-coloured image from Winnie Christmas Wishes...Helping Hands simply added some dotty ribbon and a Phill Martin sentiment.

That's it from me for today.

Thank you for calling in today, your time and comments are much appreciated.

See you soon xx

JOY!!

Hello friends, hope this post finds you well.

I have a card to share for Christmas with The Cutie Pie Challenge today. It is our first challenge of 2020 and we are kicking off with Anything Goes with an option of CAS.

Here is mine...

I have tried a bit of ombre with my Promarkers on this sweet image, Penguin Joy The snowy background is a snippet of navy card and some platinum Liquid Pearls. Once again I kicked myself for not making multiples of these while I had the supplies out...doh!!

I hope this week is a good one for you. I am back to work following annual leave last week so a bit sad about that but never mind, onwards and upwards!!

See you later in the week and thank you, as always, for your visits and words of encouragement.

See you soon xx

Clean and Simple

Hello all, hope you are getting into the swing of 2020. I don't mind admitting that I have written 2019 on one or two appointment cards during the past week, never mind I'll get there!!

So today I have a cutie for you. We are going all Clean and Simple at

I went for a DL card for a change. Looking for a 6x6 card blank I came across a pack of mixed coloured DL that were given to me by a friend. I chose the lovely turquoise and the combo developed from there.

I coloured the sponsor's image with Promarkers and added some Star Dust Stickles to the peachy coloured hearts. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted, where I was lucky enough to have won a crafty spend just before Christmas.

Here's hoping this week will be good to you. See you again soon.

Thank you for taking the time to pay a visit, it is much appreciated xx

And now for something different

Hello bloggers, hope that everything is well in your world.

Once again time seems to be slipping by apace and before I know it almost a week has passed since I've had anything to share...shame on me!! It's not as though I have nothing to play with either...does that sound familiar!!?

Anyway, I've not come empty handed and have a pretty little one layer card to share with you, quite unlike anything I have ever done before but I do hope you will like it.

I was a little short on "wordy" stamps and on a recent visit to Seven Hills Crafts, an Altenew Set caught my eye and fell into my basket. I masked the card with a circle and stamped random flowers and foliage in various inks to create the pretty wreath around the sentiment. I can't tell you how hard it was not to add anything extra and I couldn't believe how long it took to arrange the design!! The swirls are from Marianne Designs handlettering set of a similar font so both sets will work well in conjunction.

It's perfect for these challenges

Stamping Sensations February Challenge - Anything Goes
Fantasy Stampers #56 - Just one layer
Sweet Stampin' - Clean and Simple
Ooh la la Challenge #198  - Clean and Simple
Creatalicious Challenges #85 - Favourite colour combo (pink and green)

Suzy is looking at me so I had better wrap up and brave the icy lane...it was too skiddy to ride this morning, but it's preferable to the wet stuff!!

Thank you for your continued support.

Until next time xx

CAS Christmas

Welcome to December!! That means I can send one of the men in my life up in the attic to get down the magical Christmas boxes...yay!! Added to that Suzy the dog can start on her advent calendar!! I kid you not...Connor returned from town with one for her!!!

It also means the start of a new challenge at

this time the theme is CAS.

Here's mine

I made this as a tribute to Sarah of Inky Doodles who sadly passed away at the end of September.  This set is called Warm Winter Wishes and is a lovely set. I have several of her stamp sets and will think of her when I use them in the future. I think she would have approved of this one. The images were stamped onto desert storm card and coloured with Sakura gel pens for a little bit of sheen (it can't be seen here of course!!). I used dies for the wreath and fussy cut the smaller elements before sticking them with 3d foam pads for dimension.

CAS...simples.

It's my last card for this fabulous team as, sadly, real life commitments have taken up valuable crafty time. It's been a fabulous year girls and thank you for having me xx

Hope you will join in with our Clean and Simple theme this time, it's the ideal opportunity to knock up some quick batch makes. See you there!!

Favourite Season

Hello and welcome!! Hope you are well today.

It's time for a new challenge at As You Like It Challenge

Your favourite Season (remember to tell us why)

mine is......

Winter!! Simply because 'tis the season to be jolly fa la la la la la la la la!!
I can't help but love Christmas, even though the men in the house think I'm obsessive!! Woe betide anyone who dares to mess with my tree and don't even start me on my dressers!! I love the preparation, anticipation and the lovely feeling I get from conjuring up memories of Christmases past both when I was small and those shared with our Sons when they were little too.

Here are a couple of suitably wintery cards

While I was getting "inky" with my penguin background last week I continued the trend and made these two.  Simply embossed bases with navy blue mats. The stamp was free with the current  Crafters Companion Inspiration Magazine and they were both stickled for a bit of frosty glitz. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted's  Most Wonderful set.

Apologies for the rubbish photo, I blame the weather, although it looks like the damp warmth is about to be replaced by icy chills here in the UK - rather like my cards then!!

Wherever you are in the world stay warm OR keep cool!! xx

See you soon xx

Cutie CAS

Good morning lovely peeps. Guess what?.....Another Christmas card from me today.
This time a little CAS number as my DT piece for

We want to see Cute, Christmassy and Clean and Simple and by doing that you can win goodies from these fab sponsors

Di's Digis
or
Crafty Ribbons

This was one of those cards that nearly ended up "recycled" several times and I'm still not really happy with it. I love the stamp, love the "free" embossing folder but somehow it just doesn't work. There is shading on her coat (what possessed me to colour it red I don't know!!) which is hardly visible in the picture, so sorry for the "flat" look. Anyway pop over to the main blog to have a look at what my teamies have made...they have nailed it!!

Where I failed with this card I, more than, made up for on our shopping trip on Saturday.!! Because the weather was so foul, and town was really quiet, we got everything on the list in super quick time and had time for a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows!!

I'm playing here

Brighter Days

I have a colourful creation to brighten the start of your week...I hope!!

I rummaged in the scrap box for rainbow coloured card and then punched flowers and added a matching button. The sentiment was done on the computer using Simply Glamorous font.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy. It was really hard not to add anything more and I'm glad I didn't!!

Some challenges to play along with

Mid month Christmas

It's mid month reminder day at

Christmas Cards All Year Round

and I am here with another red and white creation. This was my second attempt because my first was soooo awful and I boy was I furious with Mr Mojo??!! Anyway a stern talking to and a rummage in the ribbon drawers and I came up with this

I managed to use up lots of bits of ribbon and a padded heart that I had stashed for years for no particular reason!! The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted and stamped in Memento Ladybug.

Have a lovely weekend and I hope the postman delivers lots of Valentine's!! My beau is taking me on a shopping trip and lunch...I am so lucky!!

See you soon xx

Favourite Embossing Folder

Hello you lovely people and I hope the week has been good to you.

There's a new challenge at As You Like It today and we have dusted off our favourite embossing folders.

My first die cutting machine was my Cuttlebug which came with dies and embossing folders and Swiss Dots was one of them. It has always been a firm favourite as it is so versatile and can be used on any type of card or project to add a bit of interest...as in this case!!

I used a sweet Bildmalarna stamp and coloured the tulip to coordinate with the spotty ribbon and coloured card. The sentiment is from LOTV.

I hope you stayed safe in the storms last night, I had a most terrifying night :0( The curses of living half way up a hill. After decamping to the guest room I think I managed a total or 2 hours sleep. Still all is well this morning and the stables and barns survived the night!! Looks like we are in for heavy snow next week....oh joy!!

Anyway less of the weather report...oops, got sidetracked a bit there!! Hope you will find time to bring along your embossing folders we always have a great sponsor and this time is no exception as it's

I am entering these challenges if I may...

Crafty Catz #261 - Polka dots
(delete me if my EF is not appropriate)

Crafty Cardmakers #130 - Old and New
(old EF and new sentiment stamp set)

CAS Christmas

Hello my crafty friends. Here comes another Christmas card!! I am enjoying Christmas card making enormously this year as I am making a concerted effort to try all sorts of different styles and designs. See what you think of today's offering it's my second DT make for Cuddly Buddly it's called Christmas House

At first I was tempted to go down the gingham/kraft homespun cottagey look but got sidetracked somewhat when I found red and purple cardstock together while looking for kraft and an idea was born!! I coloured with Promarkers and then went to town with stardust stickles, glamour dust and some flakey stuff from Creative Expressions that I used for the tinsel on the tree. Sadly the rubbish light does not show it in all it's glory, but trust me it sparkles!! The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted. A nice flat CAS card for the post and perfect for these challenges.
