Favourite fabric embellishment (and tell us why)

I love a bit of ribbon or lace to add a bit of texture to a card or project. I confess to having rather a lot of ribbons and lace that I have accumulated over the years so there is usually the right colour in my box.

On this occasion I found some pretty lace topped off with a thin satin ribbon to adorn Connor and Amelia's wedding card.

The digital image is from Lili of the Valley called Just Married. I coloured them with Promarkers. The paper and the die cut heart are both from the Rustic Wedding collection at Crafters Companion. 

The wedding seems like such a long time ago now. The happy couple had a minimoon in Naples and are planning a get away to Europe for a few weeks in December to visit the Christmas Markets.

Shades of Autumn at We Love Stamping

Today is the start of the October Challenge at

 We Love Stamping

The theme is Shades of Autumn (Anything Goes is also welcome).

I had the best time making my card.

It was the perfect opportunity to use some of my inks (turns out I have a lot!!) to make this tent fold card using  Crafters Companion Spring Wreath stamp & die set. The wreath is made up of multiple numbered stamps that created lovely layers that I then die cut. For a little more interest I stamped some of the foliage stamps on the base and added the die cut wreath on foam pads for some height.

Anything Autumn at Allsorts

 Happy Saturday everyone. I hope that the week has been kind to you and that you have something nice planned for the weekend.

I love card making but I do like to dabble in making little wallet/folio keepsakes and the one I am sharing today is a lovely kit from Angela Kerr Designs. It's called Rustic Reflections.

It was relaxing to make, I really enjoyed the fussy cutting and followed a You Tube tutorial on the construction. It's full of pockets, flips and tucks that contain tags, tickets and little journal cards featuring autumnal colours and images.

Favourite Sport at AYLI

 It's all about Sport today at

We would love to see your projects sharing your favourite Sport (and why).

It will come as no surprise that my favourite sport is anything that involves a horse. during the summer months I love nothing more than going to agricultural shows and watching the equestrian events. 

In support of that I had a hunt through my stamps and couldn't actually find anything suitable except this sweet stamp that I coloured with Promarkers. It was the first horsey stamp that I bought from Buddly Crafts called Charley with Willow. The gorgeous paper background is very old and is Marianne Designs, Elines Beach House.

I am sure that pony has just put on a brilliant performance and his prize is the apple!

We Love Stamping mid way

 Hello everyone. I am here today with my mid way inspiration for

We Love Stamping Challenge Trees and Leaves

 that is still current, so there is time to add an entry or two!!

I used a wood mounted rubber stamp this time (I think it might have been a Judykins one) and painted it with shimmer paint which as usual you are unable to see in the photo, which happens to be particularly bad on this occasion!! The sentiment is from a very old clear set by Lili of the Valley. Mounted on silver board and some purple glitter.

Connor and Amelia's Wedding last weekend was wonderful.

Of course cricket featured...a LOT and each table had a pitch related name

each guest was asked to sign the bat on their table as a keepsake for Con and Amelia.

who were excellent all day, along with the other bridesmaids.  I am pleased to report that the heels were surprisingly comfortable!!
