Colouring Medium at AYLI

Hello from a VERY hot Dorset UK. We are many, many days without rain and it's so hot that my HRT patch won't stick!!! I know I'm over sharing but many of you will know what I mean😁

Anyway, I thought a cooling Christmas card might help as my DT piece for

where the theme is Favourite Colouring Medium

I love my Promarkers. I have tried many other alcohol markers but always go back to what I know. They blend together beautifully and layer for shading brilliantly too.

Many of you will remember Marianne Fisher from Mariannes Craftroom, well she is hanging up her glue gun and has been selling lots of her crafty stash. I bought some stamps and she kindly sent some pre-stamped images so I have used on of them on my card today. It's an adorable LOTV stamp. The papers are also LOTV in collaboration with Nitwits that was available in an 8x8 paper pad back in the day. Still available at Nitwits in digital form Snow Princess.

Thank you for stopping by today. I will leave you with Mollie and Jackson on the
water slide from last weekend. I managed to keep off it this time although it was very tempting!!

See you soon xx

Summer Blooms at We Love Stamping

Lynn is in the driving seat at We Love Stamping this month and her optional theme is

SUMMER BLOOMS

Here is my inspiration for you

I used a lovely, lovely red rubber stamp from Stamping Bella, she's called Tiny Townie Garden Girl Rose and the papers Docrafts Simply Floral. I coloured rose with Promarkers and framed her with a scalloped oval of vellum. I have drawers full of Wild Rose Studio paper flowers so thought I would take the opportunity to use four of them!!

Two prizes, Penny Black stamp and stencil and another stamp from Buddly Crafts (photo's not to scale).

I hope that you will be inspired to join in this month.

See you soon xx

Colours of Summer at Allsorts

I have the honour of choosing the optional theme at Allsorts Challenge this time.

It's Colours of Summer and here is what I made.

 Inspired by this...

Where's Bowie 🤣🤣

I think I have managed to incorporate most of the colours. I used a very old stamp set called Zinnia by Flourish stamps that I think came from Waltzing Mouse Stamps a very long time ago. I coloured the stamped image with Promarkers, added glossy accents to the vase and lid and stickled around and on the image. The card base was covered with some scraps of Doodlebug Designs papers that luckily matched!!  As you can see our summer garden is bold and beautiful. We pack in the bedding plants tightly to leave as little space as possible as Bowie really does love to dig holes and lie in them to keep cool!!

One prize, Butterfly stamp and stencil from Visible Image

Many thanks for your company and I shall see you again soon xx

Favourite Safari animal at As You Like It

Hello friends and visitors, we are on safari at

and would love for you to share your projects featuring your favourite Safari Animal.

I don't have a favourite, as such, but I am rather partial to this adorable rhinoceros stamp from  Tracey Hey Set Rhino Rascals.

I used a Dovecraft paper pack "More or Less" to make the base and coloured the rhinoceros with Promarkers to match.

Thank you for popping in today, your visit is always much appreciated xx

Seaside at Allsorts

Val has chosen a perfect optional theme at Allsorts Challenge

it's Seaside and here is what I made to tempt you.

I have used a mix of paper pads, a Craftwork Cards 8x8 pad and the beautiful sketched shell is from a 12 x 12 scrapbook paper collection. It's a flippy kind of design that I made for my Uncle's recent Birthday. I am on a mission to be more creative with my card shapes...we'll see how that goes!!

The prize for the winner is...

Collection of stamps for one winner from Stamp Addicts

That's all for now. See you soon xx
