Wreath

I have a simple wreath to share with you today as the optional challenge theme at Allsorts this week is,

a lovely one chosen by Mervi....Christmas florals or Wreaths

Here is mine...

I used Inkydoodles Stamp set Warm Winter Wishes and heat embossed the wreath with copper embossing powder. I coloured the hearts with a shimmery red pen and coloured the stamped holly with Promarkers then went crazy with the glamor dust glitter and glossy accents. Once more, I had so much fun that I made three more using different coloured embossing powders and cut out icons from the same set.

Prizes from: Aldridge CraftsStampendous and AALL and Create

It would be lovely if you can find the time to join us this week.

Whatever you are up to this weekend, I hope it's a good one xx

Sunflowers

Hello!! Hope all is well in your house and that you are looking forward to the weekend.

We have Sunflowers as your optional theme at Allsorts Challenge this week.

I used my faithful Inky Doodles Primitive Angel Stamp Set (Currently reduced in price) for the whole card, except the Happy Birthday that was from a Clearly Besotted sentiment set. I coloured the sunny sunflower with Promarkers and used some gorgeously sparkly bronze stickles to add a little bit of pizzazz.

I am afraid I am having issues so cannot put additional links using my tablet so please check out the Allsorts Challenge blog for this week's sponsor info.

See you soon xx

DIY Background

Last time I was here with an Allsorts DT piece I mentioned how much I was enjoying being part of the team and this optional challenge theme is absolutely why!!

As much as I love the idea, I rarely get inky so this prompt was the perfect excuse to venture out of my "cute" comfort zone and make this...

I made a plaid background using a very old, but much loved, stamp set, Primitive Angel from Inky Doodles (still available here). I used various types and colours of ink to build it up and, not wanting to cover up my endeavours, simply added some die cut hearts. The little message was also from the Inky Doodles set.

I do hope that I have inspired you to join in with your handmade backgrounds or you can share an Anything Goes.

I hope you have a lovely weekend. See you soon.

An apple a day

Hello everyone, hope you are well today.

I've been naughty (again!!) and I hold Lucy fully responsible, she MADE me buy some new images and I'm so glad she did because they are gorgeous and were an absolute bargain!!

Here's the first it's called An Apple A Day

I bought this image especially for this card, it's for a little boy whose Grandma keeps her horses here. He adores my Surprise so I coloured the image in her likeness and chose Doodlebug papers to compliment her bay colouring. The sentiment was stamped using an alphabet set from Inkydoodles.
Ooh and I used Jules' Sketch 15 too, if you are short of inspiration for a layout go take a look!!

Anyway I had better get a wriggle on, several workmates have had or will soon be having Birthdays so we are having a Girls Night Out here , good company and good food, what could be nicer!!?

Before I go I would like to play here

Ooh La La #205 - Four legs not two
Cardz 4 Guyz #121 - It's Hip To Be Square
Moving Along With The Times #21 - Age related sentiment
Allsorts Challenge #364 - Happy 7th Birthday Allsorts

Thank you for sharing your day with me. Until next time xx
