Happy Easter and I hope the sun is shining on you wherever you are!
It's lovely here, so much so that I have just managed to mow the lawn and although there was  an extremely chilly windy the sun stayed out the whole time. Anyhow, cuppa and hot cross bun devoured, here is a card for
The image is Cartwheel Jodie who I coloured with Promarkers and die cut with good old spellbinders. The floral paper is MME Remarkable and the yellow/gingham paper is from Forever Friends Spring Time. I finished off with Die-namics layered rose and a stamped sentiment from Paper Smooches.

 Surely she's a cutie!
It's been a while since I've done cartwheels like that lol!!

That's it for now. Enjoy the rest of the day x

Brrrr...just put Surprise to bed and its freezing out there again. We had a few flurries of snow earlier but thankfully it didn't come to anything. Anyway, the little chap below is for
The cute image is Cuddly Buddly's Mud and Bugs ( I love the Lilyboo images!!) which I coloured to compliment the MME paper. The sentiment was computer generated and the border and star are die cuts.
Off to make some easter biscuits....yum!!

Thanks for stopping by x
Holy mackerel I think they have fixed it, added to which Mr Blue Sky is showing his face this morning, so all is well with the world...gosh I'm easy to please!!
I made this card with an Aunt in mind who is soon to have a "big" Birthday so the
is a perfect challenge.

The stamped image and corners are from a Craft UK set called Art Deco 1 which Mum brought back from  holiday for me many moons ago. She is coloured with Promarkers and matted on black card. The papers are from Prima's Almanac pad (another one that hasn't had an outing for a while) and the sentiment completes it.
Cheerio for now x

Just for fun
A quick post before t'internet fails me ...again!! Daren't attempt any challenges as our service is just so unstable at the moment so a just for fun card.

Another of my "lost" favourites.

That's it. Bye for now x

Friday 22 March 2013

Good morning and welcome to wet and windy Dorset - yuk!! Off to work in a bit so won't see it anyway!
Had a rummage in the treasure chest last night and found more stamps that haven't seen the light of day for yonks so had great fun colouring a couple, one of which I am entering in the
The image was, of course, coloured with Promarkers and the papers are MME Unforgettable which are lovely (and new!!). I also got out my distressing tool and roughed up the edges - don't usually do that and found it all a bit scary, but it looks Ok I think.

Thanks ever so for visiting x

Green and White
Today's Card is for The Ribbon Girl March Colour Challenge - Green and White.
It conjured up the past for me because my eldest son used to go and watch Yeovil Town FC and I immediately thought of their colours, emerald green and white, and his scarf.
However, as you can see it is not emerald and white and bears no relevance to football whatsoever!!
I used MME papers (On the bright side), lace from the Ribbon Girl, a sentiment from LOTV and butterfly dies that I've had forever, which I have given twinkly butterfly trails. No colouring (gulp!!) but it made a change!

And here is the inside, decorated with the other half of the papers.

Thanks for calling x

Easter Hugs

This is a card I have made this morning for
A Gem of a Challenge - Spring/Easter

The paper was a freebie (again) and the stamp comes from a set by Stampdendous called Easter Hugs, but I don't remember  where it came from. She was coloured with Promarkers, as ever, and the seam binding was just the perfect match for the soft green.

This is for Sketch Saturday Challenge  and this was the sketch

I used Clementine again ( I just love her!) and coloured her with Promarkers. All of the papers were from MME, I think it was the Happier pad. I haven't added a sentiment yet as I can't make up my mind whether the recipient will get it for Easter or her Birthday!!

Thanks for your time x

I haven't had an internet connection since Saturday and have been having serious withdrawal symptoms....thank goodness it's fixed. Still, I have been creating like fury to meet challenge deadlines!!
This one is for Allsorts Challenge - As easy as 1,2,3
1 image - Penny Black "Uplifting Occasion"
2 papers - Nitwits Freebies
3 embellishments - X-cut scalloped oval and 2 buttons with twine
I thoroughly enjoyed making this card, A5 tent for a change, and hope it makes you smile!

Thanks for calling x

Friday 15 March 2013

Our youngest Son celebrated his 19th Birthday on Monday and this was the card that I made for him

He is a HUGE cricket fan (both watching and playing) and I thought this image from Just inklined was perfect. The whiteboard behind the image was from an MME pad and Son was stamped and cut out and fixed on to black card to emulate the scoreboard on the pavilion  (nifty I thought ;0) and perfect for Crafty Ribbons Challenge - One for the Boys

Thanks for dropping by x

I really am on a roll today - there's no stopping me!!

The little lovely below is for the Wild Orchid Challenge which is a sketch this time. I have only done one or two in the past and the papers I chose at the time made the composition look wrong but I think I have cracked it this time - Yay!!

The papers were magazine freebies, the image was, again, from Cuddly Buddly (isn't she cute ?!), coloured with Promarkers and white pen,
Wild Orchid flowers and the good old spellbinders die - done!

Thanks ever so for looking x
I really had to get the old cogs working for the brilliant challenge at
Passion for Promarkers - From around the world.

I chose digi stamps from Cuddly Buddly , which are just perfect for Africa, and the background papers are from The Digichick (if you haven't visited this site you must go - papers to die for!!). The images were coloured, as ever, with Promarkers, a punched Martha Stewart border and the job's a good 'un!!

I am really rather chuffed with the finished result!!

I'm on a roll today - off to do another project while the creative juices are flowing!

Monday 11 March 2013

I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the curtains earlier and saw that the garden and field were covered in snow....again. It was ever so warm here on Saturday,( Hubby even took his coat off when we were out!!) and I (stupidly) thought it might stay. Anyhow here is a card I made yesterday for the following challenges-

This was another "stash" project so other than the embossing folder, which was a magazine freebie, the rest of the components came from my past treasures.

Thanks for calling x

Thursday 7 March 2013

I thought I would do something a little bit different today and have a go at making a gift bag for the following challenges
Passion for Promarkers - One for the ladies
I love promarkers - Anything but square
The little bag itself was crafted from a sheet of Hunkydory paper using a template that I had tucked away. I used a spellbinders die for the top of the bag which is secured with a little velcro dot and, I am ashamed to say, that my hand slipped while I was at Dies to Die For and I "accidentally" bought a new stamp Springtime Wishes . Oh well, I've used it now so I have to keep it - that's the rules :D I coloured her with Promarkers (as usual) and added Star Dust to the sash on her dress and the ribbon in her hair, which doesn't actually show up particularly well in the piccie - it is there....promise!

Thanks for calling x

Celebrate!!

We had a very special visitor in Dorset today.....Spring...you can actually see it in my picture,
(I couldn't bear to crop the blue sky out lol!) in fact it was so lovely the horse went out naked after months of wearing a rug!! Won't hold my breath though looks like rain on Wednesday :(.

Anyway, having had a visit from Brenda (via Allsorts) I returned the compliment, read her plan and decided to join her celebration! (Check out the details here)
My inspiration came from the wonderful poppy field blog header and after a good old rummage, I found the poppy stamp that I knew I had....somewhere. It's years old and came with a whole host of others from Kanban.

The little tag is from a HobbyArt stamp set, I think, and attached with rafia.

So Congratulations Brenda on your marvellous achievements!!

Sunday 3 March 2013

Spring has sprung!?

Not quite yet here in lovely Dorset, it's still frosty this morning, but..... it's certainly on it's way, my crocuses are out and there are definitely some buds ready to burst on our daffodils, so here is a colourful card  (for my Sister's Birthday next week shhh)
 inspired by the following challenges......

Ribbon Girl - Ribbon or twine

I used a Lili of the Valley stamp, Summer Daydream and coloured her with promarkers, the papers are from Cuddly Buddly and the white seam binding from The ribbon girl.

I am still being really good and using stuff from my stash  (so pat self on the back for that!!), however, I have treated myself to a few new bits and bobs with Birthday money so I haven't been that good!!

Thanks ever so much for your visit x
