Cutie Pie Festive Furry Friend

Happy Spring Bank Holiday if you are here in the UK...elsewhere...Happy Monday!!

Furry Christmas Friends is the theme of the new challenge at

Christmas With The Cuties

Those of you that visit often will know that "cute" features often here so this was right up my street.

I used the bunny rabbit from a Your Next Stamp collection because he matched perfectly with the Lawn fawn paper pad.

I bought the mason jar shaker kit (together with lots more actually) on shopping telly a while back and this was actually my second attempt. The first went in the bin as I filled the shaker bit with glitter but despite my best efforts beforehand, with an anti static cloth, I couldn't stop the glitter sticking to the acetate bubble...lots of bad words in the craft room that day I can tell you!!

Anyway, all's well that ends well and I think the fluffy snowballs add some cute charm to the simple card.

You have plenty of time to join in and it would be so good to see you!!

Hope you have a good day xx

AYLI Flora or Fauna??

Hello again my lovely crafty friends.

Thursday again and another Bank Holiday Monday...yipee!!
I know we brits love to talk about the weather but I am not looking forward to the weekend at all. There's going to be thunder storms....eeek!! I am not a great fan of thunder and lightning. I really hope the weather folk have it wrong...fingers crossed!!

Anyway, weather aside,  I am here today with a DT card for

A good theme this week...Flora or Fauna?

I have gone with "fauna" as, for cardmaking purposes, I love cute animals and characters and thoroughly enjoy colouring such images. In this case it's a cute giraffe!!

This fella is from Just ME Digital Stamps, coloured with Promarkers.

Whatever you are doing this coming weekend I hope it's a good one!!
If I survive the weekend weather I will see you on Monday with some Christmas Cuteness!! xx

A butterfly Twofer!!

Hello everyone, I hope you are well. It's been ages hasn't it?!! We have been enjoying such good weather here in the UK that my mojo has packed up and gone on holiday!!

However, every month since Darnell launched her " Twofer" challenge I have had good intentions to join in and...you know what it's like...for one reason or other I never managed it. However I am here to rectify that with these...

Now, I rarely use butterflies and knew I didn't have any stamps but the little die was free with a magazine so I used it in two ways, to make a feature and as a finishing touch. Not my usual style, I know, but I thoroughly enjoyed letting loose and trying something new!!

Thank you Darnell for the inspiration!!

I won't be away so long next time...see you Thursday!!

AYLI Pink or Blue

Oh no...I forgot to write my post...my bad!!!

You probably already know that a new challenge has started at

We would love to know whether you favour pink or blue in your card making, and don't forget we would like to know why too!!

I used Princess Snow from our sponsor Kinda Cute.
She was coloured with Promarkers to match the retired LOTV paper.

My favourite is pink, not wishy washy pink though, it has to be bright for me.

Back in the late 80s, when I worked in a Bank, we had a girls  night in and had our "colours" done. I fell into the Winter/Autumn category meaning that stronger colours suit my darker skin and hair tone, and that blue, except for navy should be excluded.  I think that is probably why I am never happy with cards featuring blue!! I still stick to my "colours", thirty years on, and investment pieces bought way back when coordinate nicely with new garments in my wardrobe.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing your favourite...if I am not sacked that is!!
See you soon xx

Christmas hallway

Hello crafty friends. A whirlwind visit to share a card that has been some time in the making but the current Allsorts Challenge - Fancy Folds spurred me on to finish it.

Lots of techniques here, some inky sky, complete with masking, gold embossing powder on the die cut sentiment and lots of measuring and chopping for the banister.

I took inspiration from here if you fancy a go.

Hope you have a good evening.

 See you tomorrow xx

Add a Butterfly

Blimey...where did last week go?! I know I said it was going to be a busy one but I didn't really expect to be absent and not to manage much blog visiting!! So apologies if I haven't left a comment. Normal service should now resume !!

Anyway, today is the start of the May challenge at

It's another good one. As well as your incredibly cute image we simply want you to add a butterfly...easy peasy lemon squeeze!!

I hope this little lady will inspire you.

A few weeks ago I took a trip down Memory Lane and spent a little time studying my old posts. I was taken by this one and, knowing that I still had the same paper pad, decided to make it again!! Little Wendy was coloured with Promarkers and I cut butterflies ( Impression Obsession I think) out of the patterned paper.

The sun has finally put in an appearance just in time for a Bank Holiday here in the UK so I anticipate some outdoor time, at last.

Bye for now xx
