Easter or Spring

Hello everyone, happy new week!!

We are all leaping about like spring lambs over at The Cutie Pies Challenge where our new theme is

Bunnies and Blooms

We would love to see your Spring or Easter cards featuring a cute image.

I dug out a very old Stampendous set and made this...

The little strip of paper is a snippet from my scrap box and I coloured the image and chose a mat in the same colour. The fun sentiment is part of the set too.

The daffodils in the picture were blown down in high winds so I rescued them and they are currently looking very pretty on my kitchen table. We put in lots of different daffodil bulbs the autumn before last, so are enjoying a second show of really different blooms from the later varieties. Goodness knows with all the atrocities going on in the East that we should grab joy where we can and these pretties certainly do that.

See you soon xx

All hail the Easter...dragon!!

Hello peeps welcome to Thursday and the new challenge over at

We have something a little bit different today and are inviting you to share your favourite non-traditional Easter character.

I don't mind admitting that I have never considered putting anything other than a fluffy bunny, chick or lamb on an Easter card. But never one to shy away from a challenge, and after taking advantage of the excellent prices currently (at the time of writing!!) offered at LOTV,  I decided to put a dragon on my Easter card. Why not?!

The paper is from a Taylored Expression stack that I've had forever. I rummaged in my snippets drawer to find suitable colours for the mats and coloured the adorable dragon, with Promarkers, to match. The sentiment was computer generated and it was lovely to use my cheery Lynn banner die set again after a fairly long haitus. Happy days!!

I am so looking forward to seeing your non-traditional Easter characters, I think we might be in for a giggle or two!!

Have a lovely weekend, when it arrives. I think we are due some nice weather here in the UK, so fingers crossed for that.

See you soon xx

AYLI Spring Critters

Welcome peeps!! So I was Christmassy on Monday and now I am celebrating SPRING!! Everywhere is bursting with new life (except my tomato seeds which is a huge disappointment!!) and the ponies and dogs are moulting so my clothing is permanently covered in hair so it must be spring!!

It is the start of the new challenge at As You Like It and we would love you to share your favourite springtime critters and give your reason too.

It is lambs for me. There is nothing like watching them jumping around the fields ( I think gamboling is the correct term) and climbing on their Mums. There are several fields full of them on our track and there are always one or two really brave lambs that will watch as I am riding towards them, they stand their ground and then as we get closer...leg it back to their Mum for a quick sup at the milk bar. So sweet!!

Here are my lambs

and in close up...

Just a cream pom pom with a cardboard face (that I appear to have stuck on back to front as I can see the pencil line!!) and some beads threaded on pipe cleaners for legs.

This adorable image is from the Polkadoodles Honeypie collection. I coloured them with Promarkers to match the very old LOTV/Nitwits paper pad Perfect Pair. As you can see I was able to actually take these photographs outside in my favourite spot...ooh it has been a long winter!!

It would be lovely if you could find time to play along.

See you soon xx

Easter Bunny

Welcome, welcome!!

Spring has arrived at As You Like It Challenge this time and we are loooking forward to seeing your cards featuring Easter or Spring.

I made an Easter card for Mollie Rose using various dies from my stash. I think she will like it!!

I thought the pannelled paper looked rather like a garden fence and then used an old Memory Box die for the grass for some additional colour.

Dare I say it but I really believe that spring is in the air. Our resident rabbits have come out of their burrows lately and have been "frollicking" on the lawn. I expect to see their family grow in four weeks or so!! We also have a pair of partridges that walk through the garden to the field at this time of year, not to mention the pheasants that are now showing their faces again, safe as the shooting season is now over. That perks the dogs up no end!!

Hope you will join in this time. See you soon xx

Ribbon or Flowers at AYLI

It's time to share my As You Like It Challenge Inspiration with you. I can hardly believe it's time again. Anyway, your mission this time (should you choose to accept it!!) is

Flowers or Ribbon? and, as always, tell us why.

It's ribbon for me this time...the flowers can wait for another occasion!!

I probably have enough ribbon to circle the earth several times!! All colours, widths, patterns. You name it I probably have it!! What I love about ribbon is that it adds a little "something" to a card without the bulk so the finished article can still be easily posted.

The ribbon on this card was included in a mahoosive bundle from Crafty Ribbons that I won quite some time ago. It coordinated perfectly with the yellow daisy paper that was a scrap. The sweet bunnies were a freebie from Gerda Steiner that I coloured with Promarkers.

Looking forward to seeing what your favourite happens to be.
Thank you for visiting me xx

Is that the Easter Bunny I see.....?

So, the morning animal duties are done, the laundry folded, dishwasher emptied and it is pouring with rain so here I am with a cute Easter card featuring a really cute image from Gerda Steiner Designs.

You can tell it's raining because the photograph is so bad, it looks much brighter and prettier in real life. The paper was another find in my bits box and looked suitably spring like to go with the sweet image that was coloured with Promarkers.

I hope you are having a good day xx

Bunnies and Chicks

Hello everyone. Another lovely Monday and the start of a short couple of working weeks too!! Not only that it's the start of the April challenge at

We want to see cute BUNNIES & CHICKS

Time has been in short supply again so I took the advantage of a pre-coloured image by our sponsor Pink Gem Designs. She went particularly well with some papers from
The Lovely Studio. I finished it off with a seam binding bow and one of the sweet postmark sentiments from LOTV (which I am unable to locate on the website!!) and a pearly thing. It would be lovely to see you if you have a cute card to share featuring a bunny, chick or even both!!

Before I go here are some bluebells for Lucy...not quite a carpet, just yet, but at least it is a start!! They smell gorgeous  too as I walk or ride by.

See you soon  xx

Easter Amy

Hello everyone. I am hanging my head in shame as due to work related issues I forgot to post this yesterday...oops!!

So, this is one of the new images available here

She is called Easter Amy.

I coloured her with Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens to match the Taylored Expressions papers. The sentiment is from another Easter set.

Anyway,  must love you and leave you. Take Care xx

An Easter butt... I mean bunny!!

Hello everyone...me again with yet another wabbit!! This time it's a cheeky one, rather like the ones that live in my garden. They ate all my crocuses, have nibbled the primroses and are now digging great big holes in my lawn!! What does Suzy do?? Sit's and watches them...such a diva!! Ah well, the joys of living in the country,

The cute image/sentiment is from Digistamp Boutique. Doodlebug papers, a very old Provocraft EF and some trusty dies, went to make up this card.

I'm going to join in with these seasonal challenges before work...my last day before Easter...yay!!

Baa,ram,ewe...

Hello and welcome back. I'm hear to bleat (get it!!) about how lucky I am to be on the Cuddly Buddly DT as I have another gorgeous image and some smashing papers to share.

Told you it was gorgeous didn't I?!! It's Spring Lamb ( DO NOT think mint sauce...as I did!!) and was coloured with Promarkers. The paper is from a digital set also from Cuddly Buddly called Cottage Florals which are perfect for this time of year. The card shape and border was cut using the Couture Spring Orchard set. The little sentiment is from an LOTV set.
