All about the Pink!!

Hello bloggers. Another Bank Holiday over and it's back to work, today and Thursday for me this week, which is sure to confuse me but I shouldn't complain!!

So, I have had the luxury of a quiet house since Sunday and managed to get quite a few cards made for challenges that grabbed my attention. I have also been trying out tent style cards with NO bulk at all. I was shocked to discover last week that 12 First Class stamps cost me nearly eight quid!! Yikes!!

These sweet hedgies are from a T for Transparent Penny Black set called Wonderful. Coloured with Promarkers to match the complimentary cardstock and papers by Doodlebug

I am supporting these challenges

In the Pink #95 - 1, sentiment, 2 hedgehogs, 3 layers
Paper Creator's Crafts #47 - Anything Goes

Right, better go and get ready, a long day ahead of me 7.45am - 7pm!!

Whatever you are doing I hope it's a good day xx

Winter Woodland

Hello crafters and for those of you in the UK, I hope you are having an enjoyable Bank Holiday Weekend. We had scary thunder and lightning yesterday, (nowhere near as bad as those poor people in Poland) and a lovely day today so I hope tomorrow will bring more of the same.

Unusual for me to be here on a Sunday night but Martin has an early start so is tucked up in bed and Connor (having taken his last exam for his degree) and Laura have rented a holiday cottage in Lincolnshire for a week, so I have no interruptions at all and made this...

I snapped up this stamp set when Waltzing Mouse Stamps announced that they were closing their doors and cased a card from their inspiration gallery for this one. The stamped elements were coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut and added to the stamped tree background. Not my usual style but I was really pleased. My Cheery Lynne Poinsettia die set had an outing and the ribbon and perl brad were in my stash.

I was inspired by these challenges

A Gem Of A Challenge - Weather (I chose snowy winter)
Winter Wonderland - Pearls and Ribbon

Thank you for stopping by xx

An apple a day

Hello everyone, hope you are well today.

I've been naughty (again!!) and I hold Lucy fully responsible, she MADE me buy some new images and I'm so glad she did because they are gorgeous and were an absolute bargain!!

Here's the first it's called An Apple A Day

I bought this image especially for this card, it's for a little boy whose Grandma keeps her horses here. He adores my Surprise so I coloured the image in her likeness and chose Doodlebug papers to compliment her bay colouring. The sentiment was stamped using an alphabet set from Inkydoodles.
Ooh and I used Jules' Sketch 15 too, if you are short of inspiration for a layout go take a look!!

Anyway I had better get a wriggle on, several workmates have had or will soon be having Birthdays so we are having a Girls Night Out here , good company and good food, what could be nicer!!?

Before I go I would like to play here

Ooh La La #205 - Four legs not two
Cardz 4 Guyz #121 - It's Hip To Be Square
Moving Along With The Times #21 - Age related sentiment
Allsorts Challenge #364 - Happy 7th Birthday Allsorts

Thank you for sharing your day with me. Until next time xx

Meg & Kitty

Hello bloggers. Hope you had a good weekend. It was Martin's weekend off so we spent some time in the garden and doing a few bits and pieces in the field, in between heavy showers!!

This is another brilliant image from Sasayaki Glitter. She was a joy to colour and suited the Doodlebug papers brilliantly so I was really able to go to town with the bright summery coloured Promarkers that rarely get used. The sweet die cut flowers were made using scraps of card.

I am entering these challenges

Crafting With Friends #21 - Anything Goes
Fussy and Fancy #164 - Dies and punches (die cut circle mats and flowers)
Little Miss Muffet #138 - Anything Goes
Crafty Friends #32 - Summer Time
Creative Craft Cottage #264 -  Include an animal

Have a lovely evening xx

How big is your bow?

Hello peeps I hope Thursday finds you well and looking forward to the weekend. I know I am!! Once again I apologise for being a bad blogger, someone seems to have shortened the days lately and my good intentions have fallen by the wayside. I doubt I will ever catch up but will visit soon!!

Anyway, I have a DT card to share today for the new challenge at

where it's all about the size of your bows...Little or Large? and don't forget to tell us why

I am always mindful of postage costs so rarely add bows to my cards. However when the need arises and the card is to be hand delivered or is for a customer I always make the same sized ones on my bow maker, not too little and not too big...just right!!

I decided to go digital for this piece as Halcyon Days has been sitting on my desk for quite some time still in it's cellophane wrapper so I thought I'd better do some thing about that. The inspiration came from the current Cardz 4 Galz Challenge which is Tea for Two and so this card was born.
Additions were by way of some matching cardstock, ribbon and pearls from my stash.

Hope you will find time to share your bow adorned creations with us at As You Like It.

I am taking my card to these challenges

Cardz 4 Galz #22 - Tea for Two
Creative Moments #93 - Anything Goes
Inspiration Destination #86 - Anything Goes
The Crafty Addicts #15 - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion #312 - Anything Goes
Cute CArd Thursday #426 - Food and/or drink

Until next time xx

Spring flowers

Hello friends, hope you are all well and if not then I hope there are better days ahead.
This week has gone in the blink of an eye so as things are quiet here I thought I would take some time to sit and have a little mooch to see what I have missed.

This is the card I made for my Auntie San's Birthday. I was inspired by a lovely card that Jools shared here and set about doing something similar using colourful springtime papers.

I have a feeling that the papers were, in fact, by LOTV and free with a crafting magazine. I made good use of my circle dies for this card together with some pretty die cut flowers and foliage too.

I am entering these challenges

Noor UK #18 - Spring flowers
Craft Your Passion #311 - Anything Goes

Before I go I just want to share a bit of Dorset with you. Last weekend we had a trip to Weymouth for a bit of sea air and, of course, Fish and Chips!! We took a detour on the way back so that Martin could show me the woods that he drives past in his tractor every day  to show me this...

...wow!!

We have little copses locally that I ride by regularly that are gorgeous but this really was breathtaking and the smell was glorious and probably so untouched as it isn't visible by car.

While the going is good I'm going to have a play with some new goodies that dropped through the letterbox this week.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend xx

The Cutie Pies escape to the country

Hello everyone. I have my DT card for

The Cutie Pie Challenge Blog

where we are going a little bit rustic/horticultural and inviting you to share your cards based around the theme

Escape To The Country

Full details can be found at the challenge blog here.

I used the opportunity to showcase another fabulous Sasayaki Glitter digistamp
 called Meg and Big Red

I coloured Meg and her chicken with Promarkers. The papers are Nitwits Sunny Side Up and I used my Go Kreate Frilly dies together with a "whoops how did that happen?" MFT purchase.

You can see where I added Sakura sparkle and white gel pen to little Meg and her chook.
The ribbon came wrapped around my Birthday Cake...knew I would find a use for it somewhere along the line and this was the perfect occasion!!

I am playing here...

Polkadoodles -Things with wings
Crafty calendar - Things with wings
I love Promarkers #308 - Lace and/or Ribbon (I went with ribbon)
Crafting by designs - May Anything Goes

Toodles for now!! xx

Walking in a WOW Winter Wonderland!!

Hello peeps...me again, two posts in one day...get me!!
(My AYLI DT piece is here)

I have looked in awe at the fabulous WOW cards that have made an appearance in blogland this week in support of the latest Winter Wonderland Challenge and decided I MUST have a go. It was also a good excuse to play with a Tonic die set that was given to me for my Birthday and hadn't been used.

Normally I struggle with this kind of work but I really enjoyed making this one and am SO pleased with the result, I only wish I'd cut more pieces at the same time and made more!! I used Centura Pearl card for all the elements which is why I think this was successful. When I've done these before I have used up scraps of white cardstock and as we all know these vary so much in colour.

Hope you are bathed in sunshine like we are here...it's a miracle really, I never thought spring would ever arrive!! On that note, I'd better go and drag the lawnmower out!!

Thank you for sharing your day xx

Testing...Testing!!

Hello friends, hope you are well today.

I've been having a test run with my new pencils. I decided that I had been drooling long enough over Jane's fabulous pencil work so bit the bullet and ordered some Lyra Rembrandt Polycolour Coloured Pencils. I got them from HERE.

Anyway this was my first attempt (there are three more in the pipeline, they were that good!!)

I didn't use blending solution on this occasion although I did give it a rub with the splender pencil!!
The sweet image is a digi from the now closed Pollycraft. She was coloured to match more very old MME papers which, I think, were called "Happier". Check out the colourful snail, done in scraps of the same paper together with the tag.

I'm off to play here

Allsorts Challenge #361 - A cherry on top (fruit or berries)
Sunny Day Crafting #6 - A colourful project or a project with fruit
Pile it on #107 - Garden Creatures (die cut snail and various insects on the paper)
The Crafty Addicts #7 - Anything Goes +/- ribbon

Better go and get Surprise in before she starts shouting at the window...it's drizzling and the poor old soul doesn't like getting wet!! It's not that she owns me or anything...much!!!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend xx
