AYLI Layered or flat

Hello all, I hope that your week is going well.

As it's Thursday I am here to encourage you to join in at

where the theme is Layered or Flat

As I LOVE patterned papers, and have a few in my stash, I generally go for layered cards in a bid to use at least some of them!! This one features a Digistamp Boutique doggo that I coloured with Promarkers to match the papers, all from various MFT paper pads.

Thank you for stopping by, your time is much appreciated xx

Allsorts I Spy B

It's all about B at Allsorts this time and I have gone with buzzy bees!!

I made an arch shaped card using a Daisy Mae nested die set (that I cannot find a link for). The bees and hive are courtesy of a little used My Favorite Things set called Meant to bee that I coloured with Promarkers. The little buzzy bees themselves are layered and I gave them a little sprinkle of glamour dust too. The spotty paper was in my bits and pieces basket but I've a feeling it was from a First Edition pad. I went "all out" with this one and added layers to the inside too but forgot to photgraph it before posting!! It's the heat!!

2 prizes of coordinating stamps and dies

It's been relatively quiet Chez Wills, the fields are brown and the pony shouts at me regularly throughout the day asking for carrots, apples and a hay top up as he has no grass!! I am sure Mother Nature will provide some rain at some point and when she does, won't be able to stop it!!

Thankyou for your time and I'll see you again soon xx

For a Child at Allsorts

Although I have tried to challenge myself this year, I am at my happiest when making cute cards so Liz's For a Child was right up my street as an optional theme at

I just knew I had the perfect stamp for this, a very old one from Wild Rose Studio. I found a lovely plaid paper from MFT and coloured the little sweetie to match, using my Promarkers. Some flame coloured glitter was perfect for the candles and added a little bit of bling too!!

The frame was from a MFT set and the tiny scalloped mats are from Tonic Essentials which I can't find anywhere to link so they are very old!! The dinky sentiment is equally old a grey rubber set from LOTV. This card will probably find it's way to Mollie next year for when she turns 9.

There will be prizes for 2 winners, Saturated Canary and HM stamps so well worth an entry or two!!

I hope you have a good weekend xx

Paper Piecing at Allsorts

Lynne has chosen a lovely optional theme at

it's paper piecing.

Here is what I did.

I used a large Woodware cling stamp called Sketchy Daisies as the elements were really easy to cut out. I stamped on lots of different papers from a My Favorite Things pad I tried different colour combos and the one above was my favourite!! The image was framed using a piece of blue Centura Pearl card which, I think, set it off nicely. The banner isn't wonky...I curled it so that there is a little bit of dimension, although I suspect it will go flat once in the envelope!!

We are having a Birthday bash very soon...here is your invitation!!

I hope that you have a lovely weekend.

See you soon xx

CAS or Fussy at AYLI

I am hosting (except I am probably going to be fired because I forgot!!) at

where the theme is

CAS or Fussy

I have gone bonkers with the fussy layers this time. It was the perfect chance to use more papers and a very much under used die set that was probably one of the first I ever bought. It's a MFT Blueprints set...remember those?

The eye popping papers are from MFT and Bo Bunny paper pads. The white heat embossed sentiment is from a Clearly Besotted stamp set. There's a fair bit of dimension as I put foam pads between all the layers.

Thank you for your company today. I know I have been a little bit economical with my visits lately but there has been lots going on chez Wills so aplologies for that. I hope life is being kind to you.

See you soon xx

CAS at Allsorts

It's Saturday and time for a new challenge at

where our optional theme, chosen by Helen, is

Clean and Simple

I don't mind admitting that I would normally run for the hills BUT my lovely blogging buddy Lisa gave me some lovely stamps for Christmas that just cried out to be used on a CAS card...so here it is!!

The stamp set I used is from MFT named Geometric Greenery and I coloured the leaves ombre style with Promarkers. Sorry to the die hard CAS fans but I had to add a sequin or three!!

I hope that you have a lovely weekend and that you will find some time to join in

Three prizes from Oakwood Direct, A5 stamp set, coordinating stamp and die and stencils

As this goes live I am planning to be walking on the beach at Weymouth. It's been a dire week, weatherwise, so promised a fine and crisp day we are going to make the most of it. I hope the sun is shining on you, wherever you are.

Until next time, take care xx

Patterned paper at AYLI

Happy Thursday peeps. I hope that this week is being kind to you.

I am hosting the first challenge of the year at

It won't be a surprise when I tell you that the theme is

Favourite paper brand

I have lots and lots of papers both real and digital but "My Favorite Things! is the brand that I return to time and time again particularly when I am creating cute or girly cards that require a small print.

Looking forward to seeing what your favourite brand is!!

Christmas at Allsorts

We are feeling festive at Allsorts Challenge today where the optional theme, chosen by Lynn, is

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

Having had a little spend at LAvinia I then went to Aall & Create and bought a lovely die set that I just had to use. What better to team it with than Santas Elves from MFT that come out every Christmas.

The paper is a real pad from LOTV that is still available but in digi form here. I coloured the little elf with Promarkers and filled all the other mats with other stamps from the set.

I hope that I have tempted you into entering as there are

2 prizes of AALL and Create A 6 stamps

That's all from me today. I hope that you have a lovely weekend outside of the UK. For those of you here, I Hope you all stay safe from harm in the path of storm Darragh xx

Sympathy or Get Well

 Happy Weekend again.

Liz has chosen Sympathy or Get Well as the alternative to Anything Goes at Allsorts this week.

I knew that somewhere in my stash I had the perfect little Pure Innocence (MFT) stamp for a Get Well card. I found it and made this...

I also have the dies too so I used that to cut her out. I'm not really sure why though because I can never actually line them up so would probably have  been better with scissors!! Anyway she was coloured with Promarkers to match the scrap of paper that I found in my scrap box. I actually really like yellow and red together. The pretty doily was another long forgotten find and suited the tea on a tray vibe perfectly.

I hope I don't have to use it but nonetheless it can go into my box for now.

Thank you for stopping by xx

Pigs in blankets anyone?!

One of the best parts of Christmas lunch is most definitely pigs in blankets, they just don't taste the same at any other time of year. Nor do they look as cute as these...

The new challenge starts today at

and the theme is Clean and Simple.

I know, my cards aren't quite that but there is a fair amount of white space so it's a pretty good interpretation!! I bagged the cute stamp set from Clearly Besotted in a sale a while ago. Coloured all the different piggies with Promarkers and fussy cut them and stuck them on little plaid bits of MFT paper.

They are all matted on silver mirri but, as you all know, that does not photograph well!!

I hope you will be inspired to join in.

Thank you for visiting xx

Way to Grow at Allsorts

Gail has chosen the theme at Allsorts Challenge this week.

Way to grow (Gardens, Plants, Children etc) a good one don't you think?!!

I had great fun colouring Clementine from The Stamp Fairy and paired her with a piece of MFT paper.

I created the sentiment in word and made a little banner. Simples!!

As always there are fabulous prizes which will be drawn at random at the end of the month.

Whatever you are up to I hope it's a good weekend. It very much looks like it's going to continue to be dry here so a spot of gardening will probably be on the cards.

Thank you for your visit, it's always appreciated.

Balloons

We are "Up, up and away" at Allsorts this week where the optional theme is balloons.

I have made a little four inch card using a lovely MFT set that was part of a birthday gift from a lovely crafty friend.

I used a Dutch Dubadoo cloud stencil for the background and coloured the hen and cow with Promarkers.

Prizes from AALL and Create

Thank you for your visit, you are always welcome xx

Friendship

Morning All. I hope this post finds you all well and looking forward to a nice weekend.

I have reverted back to normal with a cute card today and I hope it will inspire you to join in at

Allsorts Challenge where the optional theme is Friendship, chosen by Lynn.

For my card I used a super cute Pure Innocence (from MFT) stamp and die set. I love these stamps. So easy to colour and the sentiments are always lovely too. My die cutting was a bit "off" but I'm sure you won't tell!! The paper pad was missing its' cover but I though the check was a little bit table cloth-ish.

That's all for now. Take Care xx

Snowman or Santa?!

Hello friends thank you for dropping by today. I am here to tempt you to join in at

where we ask you to make a choice and share your make based on it, with your reason too.
This time it's Snowman or Santa!!

I have chosen snowmen.

Mainly because there are just too many super duper snowman stamps and digis out there, but also I do find some Santa stamps or images a bit creepy!! I chose to colour up a fun stamp from a MFT set
Christmas sELFies. I coloured the cheeky chappies with Promarkers, stuck them on some old Little Claire ombre snow paper and popped them in a Marianne Designs polaroid frame.
Another one to add to the pile.

Looking forward to see what choice you make!! See you soon xx

Something Shiny

Three months today it's Christmas...Just saying!! Loads of time though to make Christmas cards and at

this month we are looking forward to seeing Something Shiny on your cute card.

My "shiny" is silver mirri that I cut using  Creative Expressions frame die and sentiment die.
The adorable stamp was coloured with Promarkers and I used a very, very old corner punch to add a little bit of interest.

You all know what a nightmare mirri is to photograph so apologies for the dreadful picture.

I hope that your week ahead is a good one.

See you soon xx

AYLI Harvest Colours

 Hello and Happy Thursday!!

I must apologise if I haven't visited recently, it's been a bit hectic here with both work and home life. Workwise it's been full steam ahead arranging Flu and Covid Clinics and we've had liveries on holiday so additional poo picking ( it's all glamour, glamour, glamour here!!) and horsecare.

Autumn is certainly making her presence felt and harvest down here (in the sense of combining oats, wheat, beans and barley) finished last month. It's been many years since I have been in a combine harvester and  have fond memories of watching Hubby, back when combines didn't have cabs and he would look like he'd been rolled in soot!! Oh the excitement when we bought our first combine with a cab and then the realisation that I wouldn't see him until hundreds of acres of crops had been harvested!!  Happy days!!

So, talk of harvest brings me nicely to the theme this time at

It's HARVEST colours.

I love the russets, deep reds and golds that are on their way and chose Doodlebug Designs Happy Harvest paper pad as my inspiration. A rummage through my stamps and I found MFT Sweater Weather in the Woods. I coloured the bear with Promarkers and fussy cut him to stick on the card.

Thank you for your visit. See you on Saturday xx

A bouquet for you

Happy Weekend Friends!! I am super duper happy as it's the start of a week off. No firm plans but the forecast looks good so it will be riding, walking, cycling and eating I suspect, in no particular order!

As it's Saturday it's my pleasure to share another bit of inspiration for the challenge at

where the prizes for the winners this month come from one of these lovely sponsors...

The optional theme this week is A bouquet of flowers or you can go for the Anything Goes option of course. Here is my card...

Just lately I have been challenging myself with different styles and techniques so decided to revert to cute mode with this card. She is a lovely rubber stamp from Lili of the Valley that I coloured with my Promarkers to match the pretty MFT paper. The jagged edged die is a charity shop find and the border die is actually one of the first I ever bought.

Here's a close up of her sparkly wings and the rolled rose (Marianne designs I think...very old).

Thank you for calling by, your visit is always appreciated.

See you on Monday with a bit of festive fur!! xx

Perfect Pastels

Hello everyone. I am really enjoying sharing my Saturdays with you.

The optional theme at Allsorts challenge #720 is Perfect Pastels.

Here's what I made

As cute is my "thing" I had a rummage through my LOTV rubber and found this cute springtime  stamp (Delightful Daisies). I had an equally fun rummage through my paper and found a couple of pastel MFT pads. Decisions, decisions!! The sweet image was coloured with Promarkers, as usual.

We would love it if you would join in and be in with a chance of winning one of these fabulous prizes from our generous sponsors.

I hope you are all looking forward to a nice weekend. I am beyond excited to be taking my Mum to the theatre this afternoon to see Mollie on the stage. She has been dancing for a couple of years now (ballet and acrobatic dance) and is performing in a Dance spectacular...can't wait!!

Thank you for stopping by, it's always much appreciated.
See you soon xx

Four legged friends

Hello, it's me on a Saturday and I am sooooo excited to share that, together with the lovely Liz from Crafty Sunflower I am one of the new girls over at

I am truly honoured to have been asked by the lovely Brenda to join them. It's a challenge that I have entered many, many times and have taken inspiration from the DT and now I am one of them, so thank you Brenda and Team for making us so welcome.

Here I go then, my debut card for this week's challenge - Four legged Friends. A great one for me to start with as lots of you will know that, apart from my human family, I am never happier than when I am with my hairy kids, so it had to be a cute card from me featuring an adorable pup.

The background, main image and sentiment are from the MFT set New Best Friend. Coloured with Promarkers and stamped in black and pink it was a really quick and easy card to put together.

I hope you will pop over and take a look at the wonderful inspiration my new crafty friends have made for you and I look forward to seeing your entries.

See you soon xx

Traditional or Modern Christmas

Well autumn has finally arrived here in Dorset. We've had frosty, cold and crisp days and also  warm and blustery wet days. The Summer clothes have been packed away and my Christmas Shopping list has one or two gifts ticked off already. Once again I am trying really hard to buy local, at the very least within Dorset and so far, so good!

On the subject of Christmas over at

we are itching to see your Traditional or Modern Christmas cards, with an explanation too.

My blogging buddies will know that I love nothing more than a cute image, bright colours and some snazzy paper so it's a Modern type card from me, featuring the aforementioned.

It's a dinky 4x4 card base, covered in a Doodlebug Design scrap. The penguin is part of an MFT set, Sweet Holiday Penguins , as is the sentiment that was stamped on to a Lawn Fawn, Wavy Banners. Oh and the penguin was coloured with Promarkers.

Lovely to have your company here today. Keep well everyone and stay safe, in our part of the country the Covid cases are rising steeply again.

See you soon xx
