Male or female?

Hello all and I hope Thursday finds you chomping at the bit ready for the weekend!!

Before that though I am here to show off a DT card for the new

As You Like It Challenge

Male or Female

and in doing so share another fabulous Buddly Crafts image .

There is NO question in my mind...it has to be female.
I love cute images and although my cards aren't usually heavily embellished, I always look on in pride when I have finished a card for a girl friend, or family member or for a customer and think yep...I made that!! Male cards are so difficult, unless they have a hobby or passion in life that can feature on a card. Making a male card is almost as difficult as choosing a gift for a chap!!

Anyway we would love to know your preference and don't forget to tell us why and as usual, there is a super duper prize up for grabs too!!

Have a good day and see you soon xx

CAS Christmas

Welcome to December!! That means I can send one of the men in my life up in the attic to get down the magical Christmas boxes...yay!! Added to that Suzy the dog can start on her advent calendar!! I kid you not...Connor returned from town with one for her!!!

It also means the start of a new challenge at

this time the theme is CAS.

Here's mine

I made this as a tribute to Sarah of Inky Doodles who sadly passed away at the end of September.  This set is called Warm Winter Wishes and is a lovely set. I have several of her stamp sets and will think of her when I use them in the future. I think she would have approved of this one. The images were stamped onto desert storm card and coloured with Sakura gel pens for a little bit of sheen (it can't be seen here of course!!). I used dies for the wreath and fussy cut the smaller elements before sticking them with 3d foam pads for dimension.

CAS...simples.

It's my last card for this fabulous team as, sadly, real life commitments have taken up valuable crafty time. It's been a fabulous year girls and thank you for having me xx

Hope you will join in with our Clean and Simple theme this time, it's the ideal opportunity to knock up some quick batch makes. See you there!!

A card for me

Hello lovely people. Huge apologies for being such a bad blogger of late, I have so much stuff going on at the moment I don't know whether I am coming or going!! Anyway less of my moaning!! I have another Buddly Crafts DT piece to share with you today. As well as lots and lots of "real" stuff, their digital shop is also rather fabulous and this time I have some decoupage to share with you. This little guy, Fudge, was so easy to cut out.

I created the frame by embossing into some centura pearl card with a tonic die then added  different Marianne Designs snowflake dies  adorned with complimentary jewels for a relatively CAS and flat card.

Favourite Season

Hello and welcome!! Hope you are well today.

It's time for a new challenge at As You Like It Challenge

Your favourite Season (remember to tell us why)

mine is......

Winter!! Simply because 'tis the season to be jolly fa la la la la la la la la!!
I can't help but love Christmas, even though the men in the house think I'm obsessive!! Woe betide anyone who dares to mess with my tree and don't even start me on my dressers!! I love the preparation, anticipation and the lovely feeling I get from conjuring up memories of Christmases past both when I was small and those shared with our Sons when they were little too.

Here are a couple of suitably wintery cards

While I was getting "inky" with my penguin background last week I continued the trend and made these two.  Simply embossed bases with navy blue mats. The stamp was free with the current  Crafters Companion Inspiration Magazine and they were both stickled for a bit of frosty glitz. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted's  Most Wonderful set.

Apologies for the rubbish photo, I blame the weather, although it looks like the damp warmth is about to be replaced by icy chills here in the UK - rather like my cards then!!

Wherever you are in the world stay warm OR keep cool!! xx

See you soon xx

Teeny snowman

Hello and thank you for stopping by.

Wet weather does have the distinct advantage of stopping any outdoor pursuits so on Sunday I managed to indulge in an hour of play.

I could not resist the fun Teeny snowman set from Digistamp Boutique but instead of keeping him tiny I made him large enough for a topper to put on a gift bag. My gigantic stash of ribbon came in handy for the embellishment and an embossed piece of pearl card made a perfect back drop.

I am playing here

The Ribbon Girl - Any image + ribbon
Allsorts - Anything but a card
Sweet Stampin - Wrap up warm
Not Just Cards #26 - Anything Goes
Little Claire Digi Challenge - Anything but a card

Right, best get a wriggle on and get to work a long day  today and the added fun of a meeting at lunchtime...joy!! Whatever your day holds I hope it's a good one.

Until next time xx
