A bit of shabby bashing!!

Evening all. Hope you have all had a lovely weekend. We have enjoyed a dry couple of days, although not particularly sunny but have been able to get outside. I did manage a bit of crafty time though and here's what I did...a little "shabby" number.

I am a huge fan of the LOTV sketches so  #6 was my starting point this time using the fabulous Welcome Baby papers, which I bashed up a bit!! My stamp was coloured with Pro/Flexmarkers to match the papers and I frantaged my birdcage die and added seam binding too. I dabbed Frayed Burlap and Tattered Rose, using an old natural sponge, around the image to add to the aged look and finished off with a couple of LOTV tag sentiments and flowers

I am going along to these challenges

Papercrafting Journey - Perfect in Pink
Crafts 4 Eternity#178 - Tic,tac,toe
(Ribbon, Birthday, Die cuts)
In the Pink #45 - Shabby Chic/Vintage

I love your shabby card, very pretty papers and image, and love the distressed look. I have tried to do this in the past, but feel like it's a criminal offence on some of my lovely papers to use them, let alone scruff the edges up! :0)
I love the effect though so may have to try harder.

This is so lovely Sarah, papers are fab and the image is adorable. I love the shabbied up look. I've been busy today managed to do some housework, shoved the washing in, did some baking and then got out in the garden for a couple of hours...but think I'll leave the ironing :P hahahaha huggles Sue xxxxxxxxxxxx

Delightful vintage card, and I'm blown away by the frontage on the birdcage. It looks so textured, just want to reach out to touch it. Fab coloring on your image, and of course, the LOTV always is a big hit with me. Love all the pinks & neutral colors on this sweet card. Glad you're getting some dry weather at least. TFS & Hugs
