Bags of colour!!

Hello my friends. Not so nice today but it means I've not had to get out with the watering can!! So instead I've had the sewing machine out again, I was actually intending to do some stitching on a card but decided to get out the pile of fat quarters that fell into my basket last time I visited Pauline's Patchwork in Dorchester.

You may remember that I showed one of these before using a pattern that was in a Create and Craft magazine. Well here's another and this time  I added a flap with a press stud fastening. I've only just realised that I haven't top stitched the upper edge...whoops!! Best toddle back up and finish it off properly!!

I thought I would play along at these challenges

This is gorgeous Sarah, love the nice bright colours & the addition of the fastening is a great idea. I did have a go at one after seeing your earlier post but not completely happy with it. May have another go!

WOW, I really love this. I love the strip across the width and the flap you've added. Wish I'd seen that pattern, it's fab and something to make in lots of colours or give as gifts.

Hi Sarah,
what a fab and colourful bag. I love the style, and the great summery colours.
You are very clever.
I am now hopeless with sewing as it takes me so long to thread a needle even with a needle threader.
Now yesterday I struggled to get my sewing machine out of a cupboard.
Nearly gave up half way through the project as my needle threading of the machine was taking me so long.
It's then when I realize I need that eye op.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

This is fabulous. I love the colours of the fabric! Oh, by the way, you did guess right, I am a Welshy :-) It is so weird to hear yourself on video - I thought I had lost that accent years ago LOL! Guess not. Have a great weekend.
