Your favourite time

Hello, hello!! The weekend is within touching distance and today

have a new challenge starting and the theme is......

Your favourite Decade/Time in your life, a project that reflects a memorable event or time in your life  and don't forget to tell us why when you link up

It's the 60's for me!! I don't advertise the fact but I was born in the 1960's and have a real love for the music of that time including The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Bee Gees and the like and I am lucky enough to have lots of old 45's in my record collection.
The fashion of that time also interests me hugely and I have vivid memories of certain outfits that my Mum used to wear when I was a littley!!

As you can see I used my fabulous stepper die (again!!) this time layering the mats in a different way. The groovy little lady is Faye who was coloured with Promarkers. The papers are VERY old Creative Expressions Foundations.

This shows the layers and dimension. The speech bubbles are "Say what" and the stamps from Paper Smooches.
Lashings of stickles and a beautiful aqua bow to finish it off.

Hope you will take the time and join us!!

I am going along to these challenges

Allsorts #311 - No Squares allowed
Creative Inspirations #314 - Anything Goes
Little Miss Muffet #112 - Anything Goes
A Gem of a Challenge #144 - More than one fold

Have a good day xx

Sarah you are such a bad influnece on me! I've just bought that stepper die - cause of you!!! Mind you, you've actually saved me a packet as I was initially looking at the Tattered Lace one which was almost £50 - so I guess it's a bargain in the end!!! (I'm sure you follow my logic!) Obviously I love your card and your swinging 60's image! Love the music of that era too cause like you I'm a 60's baby! Jx

What a hip image! I remember a girl on the bus to school who wore white patent knee high boots and wore eyeshadow the same colours of the your card and white lippy, circa 1968! Fab card as ever. :)

Dear Sarah, you are just a youngster! The 60's were an awesome time, looking back upon those years. At the time, though, lots of the things seemed so outrageous and 'what is this world coming to?' I think the music of the time was great, and liked most of the fashions too. (but I was an adult in the 60's, well the later part anyway!) Loved the walk down memory lane with your little miss. Loved that outfit, and the blue & brown color themes.Great work with the step card - what an awesome design. Love it! Good for you at interpreting this fun theme as you did. TFS & Hugs

Hi Sarah,
what a super creation.
I love this.
The papers are spot on for that decade, and so is the image of Faye, and she is beautifully coloured too.
My fave groups of that time were The Beatles of course, The Hollies, Gerry and the Pacemakers, and The Dave Clark Five. just to name a few.
My daughter has bumped into Paul from The Beetles quite a few times at our local cinema.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
