A cuddle makes it better

It's been a while since I coloured an All Dressed Up image and thought I would support the lovely Lucy in her new permanent post over there. So, as promised Lucy here is my entry...

...and the cuddle is for you too!!

I also challenged myself to have a stab at a bit of "my style" shabbiness for a change and if duffing up the edges of the paper, adding pearls and seam binding hit the mark then, by jove, I think I've nailed it!! (Comments and suggestions are welcome here!!!). I coloured her with SN pencils and blending solution and the final touch was an LOTV stamped sentiment which I cut out and mounted with foam pads on to a sadly neglected MFT die cut doily. Ooh and I blended milled lavender DI around the edges of everything.

Some challenges

All Dressed Up #38 - Anything Goes
In the pink #72 - Shabby Chic/Vintage
Dragon's Lair Design Challenge - Shabby chic
Crafty Catz #286 - Anything Goes
Inspiration Destination #40 - Anything Goes
Noor Designs #8 - Something Old, Something New
(new paper pad, old seam binding & pearl string)

Have a lovely weekend everyone xx

I do like "duffing up" Sarah, distressing will never be the same again as I shall think of that every time.

Sweet card and duffing up.

Well done for pushing yourself into a style you don't do regularly, I must admit I don't venture unless pushed!
Love the colours though I think Max would object if I tied a purple bow on his collar! :)

Good morning Sarah, love your stunning card. Great image, beautifully coloured.
I am not into Shabby but it's good to get out of our comfort zones now and again.
I like your "gentle" shabbiness, just my style as well.
Have a great day

Hi Sarah

Stranger alert!!!

Lots of lovely creations on your blog .. .. I have been well overdue a catch up .. .. sorry.

You have been posting some lovely makes.

Loving your distressed look. It is funny how we try new things and then suddenly they can become the norm. I wonder if it will for you because you certainly look to have a knack for it.

Your take on Kitty's card fold was brilliant too. I hope you email a picture to the magazine for them to see .. .. they would love it too I am sure.

Life has been super busy wedding wise and left me with hardly any time for blog posting and visiting. But thank you for your visits and comments - I do appreciate them.

Hope you are having a good weekend.

Love Jules xx
