A touch of autumn

I've tried to ignore the fact but it seems that autumn is definitely here. I even had to hunt out my torch this week before mucking out and Surprise is beginning to look like a yeti!! Still, the sun is shining at the moment and we have the gorgeous colours to look forward to so it's not all bad.

With that in mind I found a stamp from a while back that came free with Get Stamping magazine so thought I would make a seasonal card in order to join in at some of the current challenges.

It was nice to do something a bit different. The owl was inked with memento chalk ink and I then used Spectrum Noir pencils on top for a bit of feathery definition. The leaves were also pencilled to coordinate with the Doodlebug papers.

I would like to play here

That's Crafty - Lovely leaves
Di's Digis - Fabulous Fall colours
Fantasty stampers - #45 Autumn Leaves
Uniko #25 - Autumn/Fall
Crafting Musketeers #29 - Autumnal Colours

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and thanks for sharing a bit of it with me xx

Yep, Autumn is definitely showing it's face Sarah, when I went to Peterborough first thing (leaving feeding to someone else) not only was there a really heavy dew, it was only 5 deg.

But as you say not all bad as we have those lovely rich colours to look forward to and I always love seeing cards using them and the addition on an Owl is a bonus.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Very Autumnal Sarah and very nice. That's a super little owl and a great card. Tis turning colder here too, it was a nice sunny day here eventually, but there was a definite nip in the air this morning. Passed the day with my parents and elder son as opposed to crafting, but the house is still too quiet :( Jx

Very of the season! Love those DPs.
I know it's autumn now as I forgot to bring the washing in earlier and it had got damp again. Mists and mellow fruitfulness!

Autumn is here too Sarah. Not my favourite time because I know winter is right around the corner.
However, your fall card is very pretty. I may not like the season but I have always liked the bold colours we associate with it and you have all of them on here.
Very cute owl and I like how you made the leaves different colours... cute idea!

Wonderful to see fall colors showing up on cards as I'm surfing around to visit this afternoon. (sadly not here at my house yet, and I'm way behind on fall cards). The little owl is just darling, and he's delightful paired with all the fall papers. Love the way you rounded the opposite corners on Mr. Owl's focal piece, and the layout using the different bits of patterned papers works beautifully. A happy, cheery "let's get ready for fall" card. Hope you're enjoying some fine Sunday weather. Hugs & TFS

It's funny...I've tried to ignore the fact that Spring is HERE, as it means Summer's not far behind - I guess we always want a little of what we don't have :-)) Anyway, this is a great card for Di's Digis "Fabulous Fall Colours" challenge. Thanks for joining us I hope you get a chance to join in next time too Donna ☺
