And now for something different

Hello bloggers, hope that everything is well in your world.

Once again time seems to be slipping by apace and before I know it almost a week has passed since I've had anything to share...shame on me!! It's not as though I have nothing to play with either...does that sound familiar!!?

Anyway, I've not come empty handed and have a pretty little one layer card to share with you, quite unlike anything I have ever done before but I do hope you will like it.

I was a little short on "wordy" stamps and on a recent visit to Seven Hills Crafts, an Altenew Set caught my eye and fell into my basket. I masked the card with a circle and stamped random flowers and foliage in various inks to create the pretty wreath around the sentiment. I can't tell you how hard it was not to add anything extra and I couldn't believe how long it took to arrange the design!! The swirls are from Marianne Designs handlettering set of a similar font so both sets will work well in conjunction.

It's perfect for these challenges

Stamping Sensations February Challenge - Anything Goes
Fantasy Stampers #56 - Just one layer
Sweet Stampin' - Clean and Simple
Ooh la la Challenge #198  - Clean and Simple
Creatalicious Challenges #85 - Favourite colour combo (pink and green)

Suzy is looking at me so I had better wrap up and brave the icy lane...it was too skiddy to ride this morning, but it's preferable to the wet stuff!!

Thank you for your continued support.

Until next time xx

Well good on you for being so brave hun, and such a pretty end result too! After all these years, one layer cards still scare me just a tiny bit. Love this. Hugs xx

Yes, it sounds very familiar Sarah, I have a little pile of new Lavinia stamps pricking my conscience at the moment.

I have a bit of a thing for floral wreaths and love how you have used all the little stamps to create one on today's card, it's a rather nice sentiment as well. OH dear, I feel more spending coming on and more for the basket which keeps saying please use me.

Very familiar! I don't seem to be able to keep up with anything these days, and getting tired of being on the back foot all the time! And half the time I make stuff, just never get 'round to taking pictures! lol.

And I can certainly believe this card took you ages! But it was worth it. So very lovely! x

Well done Sarah, love your OLC. Great stamping and masking, I'll win you over from the dark side yet!
I paid a visit to Seven Hills and was pleasantly surprised with the service, I went there originally 'cos the title led me to believe it was based in my home town of Sheffield.
Thanks for linking up at Fantasy Stampers as well. :)

It's a lovely & amazing one layer card. I don't find this kind of stamping easy at all, but you've done a fab job with the technique. DOn't you love the Altenew stamps? This sentiment looks great with the circle stamping, soft & pretty, and easy to mail. Good job all round. TFS & Hugs (and sometimes life just gets in the way of stamping, crafting and blogging! I DO know that right now for sure!)

This is such a beautiful, delicate design. It makes me anxious just thinking about trying to do this with only lovely stamps and stamp pads. I'd say you rocked the CAS!
