Is spring in the air?

Hello crafters, I have a springy creation for you today. The tulips in my garden are coming up but the blooms are not going to show themselves for a while yet so, for now, I have this on my mantelpiece!!

The lovely stamp is by Imagination Crafts and, I am ashamed to say, has been in my stash for a few years now. I bought it on a whim and because it isn't cute,  have never known what to do with it...until now. With so many floral and spring challenges about I thought I'd break open the plastic and have a play. I chose the pretty pink Doodlebug Designs paper first and then heat embossed the stamp with white powder. Although it's really hard to see, I rubbed pink distress ink all over the background and then coloured the tulips and leaves with Promarkers.

I enhanced the tulip heads with clear wink of stella and dotted some stardust stickles around for a bit of pizzazz!!

Right, better get linked up and join in, I'm cutting it a bit fine!!

There's no sign of spring today in Dorset, it's foggy and dull, but the rest of the week has been glorious. Hope it's nice where you are!!

Until next time xx

OMGosh I love how this looks. This is so pretty and sweet and I know what you mean about buying it because it wasn't "cute". I have so many cute image stamps, too, but I should break out some of the unused stamps of flowers and wagons with flowers in them, and mailboxes with flowers around them...and color some up for spring/summer. I adore the white embossing powder you used, too, and the Wink of Stella is a great enhancer on the tulips. Such a pretty pretty card. But not cute. :) XXOO, Gail

Naughty you not getting that stamp out earlier, it's gorgeous, as is your card. My tulips are holding back as we have lost the sun and blue skies and there is a definite chill in the air!
Max is on the magic anti inflammatories until Sunday, then we will have to wait and see. He is so much better, we actually saw the TV Vet Steve Leonard, Max was suitably impressed and behaved impeccably.

The tulips, daffodils and crocuses are starting to make their way through the ground here as well. However, the snow we received today is going to put things to halt. lol Your card is lovely and so perfect for welcoming in Springtime. :)

Stunning! I'd say you put the lovely image to perfect use on this card, and just by the way, we have tulips that just a shade darker than this pretty bouquet, that finally got blooms. Love the delicate pinks & greens against the soft embossed white background, and I love, love, the design with the split papers. A most excellent card, so I hope you do more like this! Saw a pretty sunset on your earlier post, so off to enjoy that! TFS & Have a wonderful week.
