Christmas Penguins

Hello everyone, it is my turn to showcase another fabulous bit of artwork from

This sweet image happens to be Christmas Penguins and was coloured with my Promarkers to compliment the pretty papers. My Cheery Lynn poinsettia die got an outing to make the gorgeous bloom and I finished off with some liquid pearls for a change.

I am entering my card here...

Noor Design UK #21 - Christmas
ABC Challenge - N for Noel
Digi Choosday Week 33 - Anything Goes
Lemon Shortbread #22 - anything Goes

I actually have time for a chat as the pups are being entertained outside. It's been an eventful few weeks. Our trip to Cornwall wasn't great as I had my first bout of carsickness in about thirty years for which there was only one cure...to come home. However, we did manage to get to Port Isaac which was really lovely.

I think we were meant to come back early because on our return Suzy was poorly so a trip to the vet was necessary and didn't end well.

She is now at rest with our Darling Mog in our garden where, come the spring, they will both be covered with beautiful flowers. I miss her.

To cheer ourselves up we spent the night in Torquay last Friday and had a wonderful time wandering round the town enjoying the fabulous weather and generally lifting our spirits with copious amounts of ice cream!!

Bowie and Bumble are turning into fine young dogs although they haven't been allowed to visit my work room yet, not sure I want my Promarkers buried in the lawn!!

Looking forward to getting more crafty time very soon. Thank you for your visits, they are much appreciated xx

Oh Sarah... my heart goes out to you. Sweet Suzy is at peace and with her buddy. So sad But you've got the two little rascals to keep you busy. Her picture reminds me of my André. They leave a definite paw-print don't they? Sweet card... I like how you've got the little penguins popping out of the boxes. Too cute!

Oh Sarah, what a sad time for you and as the lady above said, your trip to Cornwall was cut short for a very good reason and so you could be with Suzy. Expected or otherwise it's always an awful time and I am sending love and hugs to you.

A wonderful Christmas card!
Oh, Sarah I'm so very sorry to hear about Suzy. It was good that you came back home to spend the last hours with her though. I think you definitely made ill so you could be with her. Ice cream in a lovely surrounding certainly helps to take your mind off things so I think you should do this everyday. Sending you my biggest hug, Debra x

Oh gosh, what a week you have had and I'm so sad to read about Suzy, although it was a silver lining to your carsickness that you had to go home and could therefore be with her at the end.
I hope you find things to distract you from being too sad...crafting, ice cream and those naughty little puppies sound like a good start!
Your card is absolutely gorgeous; I love the colours and the cute image...ohh, and the lovely shaped design too :-)
Big hugs, Kat xx

Hi Sarah, I am so sorry you have lost your lovely Suzy - it is so difficult losing a four legged member of the family - sending you love and hugs. Travel sickness is pants - I can go ages feeling fine and the one random journey can set me off - yuch! I know how you feel.

So sorry to hear of your loss of the sweet puppy, but glad she will have a beautiful memorial spot come spring time. Also glad you have the new kids to lighten the missing of the older friend. Loved this shaped card (looks like a decorative plate!) with the cute penquins in their winter apparel. Terrific coloring work too. Of course I enjoyed the fab pictures of your visit (even spotted Doc's surgery), and while I'm sorry to learn you had a bout of car sick, at least you made it to PI. And your 2nd trip worked out well for good weather and some treats. TFS with us, and for the good wishes sent my way. Hugs

Hi Sarah - I'm back at long last. I am so sorry to hear about your fur baby - so heartbreaking to lose them so I'm thinking of you ((hugs)). Also sorry you didn't have a good time in Cornwall. I started getting travel sick after I had my lad. I never was before. It's harder to get around because of it so I know how you feel. Take care - Michelle x
Your card is gorgeous. Love the image, shape and purple colours.
