Coffee and Friends

Me again...I have actually managed to grab some time to myself and make some cards just for fun, so, inspired by some current challenges I came up with this.

It was the first time I had inked this sweet stamp by Your Next Stamp and, as usual, I coloured her up to match the papers that came from The Works ( as well as a few other pads actually!!)

I used SN Illustrator pens to colour her and am pleased to say I am getting the hang of them. I also broke the mould and tried blonde hair which I am really pleased with. The embossed panel was supposed to be a panel with texture paste but the colour was wrong so I improvised and used a Leoni folder instead. I will save the paste panel for another project!!

The rain has gone so today I am going to spend some time in the garden, the weeds on the patio will be easier to deal with now the ground is damp!! No riding for me as poor Surprise is lame at the moment and having a week in bed so I can use the time doing something productive!!

Whatever you are doing, I hope it's a good one xx

I was inspired by these challenges

This is so sweet! Love the image, well it's got a cat on it and I LOVE cats :) . The embossed panel looks wonderful as does the heart edge with the pearl flowers. You've definitely nailed the blond hair, it looks fabulous.
Your other card looks fine as I've saved it so would you like me to email it to you and see if it looks any better than yours? Debra x

Still grey and overcast here but hopefully the predicted showers wont come and I too can get into the garden! Not tried the SN markers but one or two of the girls at craft class were saying they couldn't get on with them. Think I'll stick with my Copics! Happy BH. :)

Very cute image and love the colouring. Great papers. I have bought quite a few of the 12"x12" pads from The Works. They are more card than paper and at £3 a pad an absolute bargain!! Hugs, Carol S.xx

A great card and perfect embossing for our Allsorts theme this week Sarah, many thanks for joining in.

Do hope Surprise is soon over her lameness, if your grass is anything like ours can't blame the lushness to create laminitis. We badly need some rain to perk up the grass here in the Fens, there's been less than an inch this month and heading into May it always spells expensive hay.

Hi Sarah,
playing catch up on my comments today.
Your card is very wonderful and your have coloured it perfectly too.
I had a lot of SN ppens when they first came out and couldn't get on with them so I gave them to my niece, and went back to my Promarkers plus they wouldn't work together, but my promarkers are running out now and I need to replace a lot of them soon.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
