With Sympathy

I have one of those necessary but not nice cards to share today. It was made  for my Aunt following the loss of my Uncle.

No cute image today only lots of rubber and ink. On a whim, I bought this stamp set a while ago and kept picking it up and putting it back down again with lots of head scratching!! The wreath alone just wasn't enough so I hunted through my stamps and found the flourish in an old Banana Frog Christmas set, which worked a treat with the leaves around the edges. It also fits the theme at these two chellenges.

It was a lovely weekend here, lots of sunshine and really quite warm during the afternoons. I love walking the dogs early before it gets hot and it was actually a chilly 6 degrees so a fleece was necessary yesterday morning.

An interesting web.

The pups on the lookout for newly released pheasants.

Wills Wills (on the right) catching some early morning rays. Surprise was still in bed!!

I hope you have a good week. See you when I do xx

A pretty card Sara, so soft and delicate.
Lovely photographs, Ramsey loves early morning walks - I think it is because everything smells different especially if there is a dew.

Hi Sarah,
what a very lovely card for a sad occasion.
Love the stamped wreath and your background stamping in those different colours looks wonderful.
Talking about pheasants I have a story to tell.
My BIL was builiding a house and was nearly finished, doors were open as they were fitting floorings.
In strolled a pheasant and promptly did his business all over the place.
Apparantly he had built his house right in the path the pheasant always used.
I can tell you he wasn't amused.
They never did stay in that house long it never felt like home to them.
I just wonder if the new owners have ever left their door open. LOL
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Great use of those tiny images, I seem to be using those type of stamps a lot at the moment too.
Awful weather for my journey to Warrington yesterday after so much fab weather too. A it wasn't in the forecast, baling was supposed to be at 10:30 yesterday but when I came home from my Copic class in the afternoon, the skies were still grey and the hay on the ground. More rain last night but the sun has come out a little since noon. Hopefully a couple of days drying out and we should be able to bale at last! :)

Sorry for your loss, Sarah. You're right these cards are never nice to make, but unfortunately from time to time we just have to make them. Your card is beautiful and you definitely found the perfect leaves and flourishes to frame your beautiful flower wreath. I'm sure your Aunt appreciated it very much.
Have a lovely day.
Big hugs,
♥ Lena
