Snowman or Penguin

Hello friends, I hope today finds you safe and well. Typical that I choose to take annual leave during Lockdown 2.0 but never mind, the weather has been relatively kind and the idea of going shopping takes excitement to another level!!

So, it's time for a new challenge at

and we are getting the Christmas spirit with our theme

Snowman or Penguin?

The kid in me would still love a white Christmas, actual snow on Christmas Day that is. For that reason I have chosen a snowman as my project, and a crochet one that I made up as I went along.

He is only about three inches high and will have a loop on his head to hang him on the tree...ooooh that sounds horrid, but you know what I mean!! No wonder he is looking so sad, it is actually the lash on the yarn!!

Have a good day whatever you are up to. It looks like it is going to be dry so the plan is to do a bit more tidying up in the garden.

Looking forward to seeing your penguins or snowmen xx

What a super take on the theme Sarah. Why is it they always have snow Christmas Day in the movies, to give us a seasonal feeling of joy I guess?

He's adorable Sarah, so cute - you must be good at crochet to be able to make it up as you go along.

Hi Sarah,
he is so gorgeous and what a wonderful and a clever make.
He looks very cute and so sweet but I got a little confused as that paper in the background sort of gave him ears and I at first thought he was a bunny or owl or is that just me being silly.
I too would love a white Christmas not sure if I will ever see one again in my life time though.
I have a little ditty ti share when my Daughter was getting married many moons ago she had a very full skirt on her wedding dress I decided to hang it from the ceiling on a hook with a white sheet around it to keep off the dust in my bedroom.
Yes you have guessed it, it freaked me out in the night so it was taken down the next morning.
Your hanging loop reminded me of that.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Aww he's sooo cute! You are clever to have made him, I can crochet in a straight line but that's all :)
Enjoy the rest of your annual leave - hope the weather stays kind.

I love this little guy. What a brilliant idea to use the eyelash yard for his scarf.
