How do you add your ribbon then?

Hello everyone and happy May to you all!! It is feeling distinctly warmer here in the UK after weeks of frosts and cold weather. I know it has rained but at least it is a little bit warmer, so much so that I have put the winter boots away and started packing away my jumpers...about time too!!

I paid a visit to Alpaca Pals a couple of weeks ago and made an accidental purchase so just had to colour the beautiful bouquet from the Thanks a Bunch set. I always feel very virtuous buying from Tracey as she is located just over the hill from me so the carbon footprint is quite small, therefore a contribution to saving the planet!! I coloured this rather large beauty with Promarkers and used a few blobs of Stardust Stickles too. The sentiment (also from the set) was heat embossed in white onto a scrap of black cardstock Anyway, this card is to inspire you to join us in the new challenge at

We would really like to know how you add ribbon to your card/project.

For someone who has a big enough ribbon stash to last several lifetimes, I really don't dip into it often enough!! Here I have just used a perfectly matched bow to suggest a hand tied bouquet. This card is to be hand delivered so a little bit of bulk really didn't matter too much. If I am making cards that are to be posted I will incorporate flat ribbon somewhere on the design or use seam binding that squishes quite flat in the envelope.

Well, that's me for today. I hope that you will find time to play along xx

What a lovely bouquet, you've coloured it beautifully.
Don't think I will be putting my winter coat away just yet. We drove through a hail storm yesterday afternoon on our way to the Vaccination center for our second jab! :)

What a darling card, Sarah, and so beautifully colored! Like you, I have a hard time adhering ribbons. Usually, I end up adhering them from behind, or woven through things. Your bow looks beautiful! hugs, de

This is absolutely gorgeous! I love that this image covers the whole card and is the main focus - your colouring is perfect too. The sentiment looks great on the black card and the bow really does make it look like a hand tied bouquet. I've never thought of using seam binding instead of ribbon so I'm off to try that idea! Thanks so much for joining in with my challenge this week at Passion for Markers. Hugs, Karen x

Gorgeous card Sarah, I kinda stopped using ribbon too because of the extra postage! Lucky you having Tracey local, not surprised you made a purchase or two!

I love the clean and crisp look on this gorgeous card, Sarah and you have coloured it beautifully. I hear you about the ribbon stash - I have so much and rarely use it any more. Can't bear to part with it though because it is sooo pretty!

How could anyone resist such a gorgeous floral image which looks like it is so fun to color?! You did a brilliant job of it, Sarah, and I love the finishing bow to make it look like a hand-tied bouquet from the garden. I also love the spots of stickles for schparkle! Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
