It's a battle of the sexes at As You Like It Challenge today.
I try, I really do, to enjoy making cards for boys and men but I struggle!! Even living in a house full of men has not helped over the years. So feminine it is, after all, I do have oodles of girly stamps, papers, dies and embellishments to use up!!
Our sponsor is Polkadoodles and I just happened to have a freebie waiting to be coloured so I used her. I am really not happy with how this card looks on the screen, it really does look better in real life, the paper doesn't seem quite so overbearing...honestly. She was coloured with Promarkers and I fussy cut her, leaving a white border so that she wouldn't disappear into the paper. I added some sparkle and glossy accents for some interest and raised her up on foam pads for some dimension. The sentiment stamp is one of those unknown ones that I happened to find and will probably become a favourite!!
I am really feeling right sorry for myself. Although the bruising to my derriere has disappeared, I have been left with a large, painful fluid filled lump so asked one of the Partners at work to take a look. He suspects a gluteal tear that might take up to six weeks to repair so no riding for a while yet. I did wonder if moving more might help but it just made it worse so I am having to take it easy, which I find difficult!! I simply cannot understand why these media stars want to have bigger butts, it's no fun at all!!
Anyway, moan over, I hope you will share your masculine or feminine makes with us.
See you soon xx

I like to make girlie cards but as you'll know there's far too many males in my family to get the opportunity!
Poor you, I know how hard it is for an active person to take it easy, you can always see things that you could be doing!! Don't feel guilty and embrace the situation. Hopefully you can still manage to craft, I find it a wonderful way to occupy the busy mind. :)
Such a pretty girlie card Sarah. Hope your butt gets better soon :) x
I hope you make a speedy recovery Sarah,I can't imagine how uncomfortable you must be. A fabulous feminine card teamed with a beautiful background
A lovely feminine card Sarah, pretty paper and a sweet image. I agree...I find girly cards easier to make too.
I hope your injury improves soon x

Hi Sarah, as always I'm first off offering an apology for being behind with commenting! I don't know where the time goes, really I don't!
I have had a wander back to admire your lovely cards and reading about your riding injury - sounds like a proper ouch!!
Love this card - the image is super cute and I love that paper, don't think it looks too overpowering and I'm sure it's wonderful IRL.
Hopefully I'll be by more regularly now that all the birthday celebrations in our house are done with.
Sarah
Aww she's such a cutie, I love that snazzy DP you've used too
Sorry to hear your butt isn't better yet Sarah, even the name "gluteal tear" sounds painful!
A quick post hols catch up and what a lovely creation this is (and sorry about the derriere continuing issue).

Truth be told, feminine is my fav too for the very same reasons. (Don't tell anyone, I was afraid everyone would go girly so I went masculine to balance things a bit.). I love your sweet card with the wonderful colors, great coloring and that sparkle! I do hope you are back to normal very soon, take good care!
Look on the bright side, Sarah, you have a very fashionable derriere and did not have to pay for it :-). I hope by now you're feeling tons better, my friend. I love your girlie card, as I always do. I also struggle with masculine cards - it's a hit or miss kinda thing - I either come up with a brilliant idea (at least in my head) or I sit and stare at my crafty supplies for quite some time, just willing them to make something for me :-)
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Lena
Elegant and gorgeous Sarah. LOVE the pelmet top of paper, gorgeous paper pattern and what a sweet image! Gorgeous card. Hugs, Wends xoxo
