Red Christmas?!!

Happy Sunday everyone and I hope you are having an enjoyable one.

It's fine here but VERY cold and windy.I  had a nice early ride this morning and managed to dodge some pretty heavy showers...very invigorating!!

I decided to make another Christmas card to add to the pile,
again inspired by  several of the fab current challenges .

Actually, an aside here, I would be joining more challenges but am unable to join and follow any new sites with Google Friend Connect, I know lots of you are suffering different problems at the moment with blogger but I wonder if anyone has had trouble following?

The lovely papers are Bazzil Nordic Pines and I got busy with the old distressing tool
and inks to enhance the shabby, homely finish I was trying to create.
I heat embossed the fabulous stamp with Wow embossing powder.

I coloured the hearts and added glossy accents and glamour dust for a little bit of bling together with some bisque liquid pearls. Cotton lace, a button and an arrangement of ribbon finishes it off.

Now I'm off to play along with these challenges

Chocolate, coffee & cards #61 - Glitter and lace
Fussy and fancy #110 - Shabby chic
Winter Wonderland - Paint the town red
Christmas stamping all year long #3 - Favourite colours
(has to be red for Christmas!!)
Crafty Ribbons #81  - Anything Goes with ribbon
Rhedd & Rosie #28 - Aged/distressed

Phew...another Christmas card done!!
Off to poo pick the field and put Surprise to bed after a cup of tea and a hot cross bun!!

Enjoy the rest of your day and see you soon xx

  9. Perfectly cheery & country style living goodness on this card. Love the gingham print with the snowflake paper, and adored your country wreath. The lace was just the right trim for this pretty card. Just tried Firefox with the blogger problem, and it is doing the same thing for me. I can leave a comment, but if I'm already a follower, I can't sign in as such. If I try to join a new blog, blogger doesn't like my login info, and I KNOW it is being typed correctly and is current data. Tired of fooling with it, so I hope everyone understands! Glad if you had a lovely morning ride today. TFS & Hugs

  18. Hi Sarah, This is lovely, very shabby chic in style. We have all been having problems with blogger following and blogger is aware. I found a tip at the weekend which you may find useful. When you click on follow this blog, beside the follow link there is another link, More Options. If you click on this you should be able to follow the blog. I have done this several times recently and it works for me. Let me know how you get on.

  20. Gorgeous papers and details, just love that stamp too! My main blogger issue at the moment is that it keeps hiding my reading list, so I can't see anyone's posts... if I refresh the page over and over, eventually the list will come back - drives me mad! Hugs, Lisa x
