One lump or two?

Hello folks, apologies for not being around over the weekend but it was Hubby's weekend off and the good weather meant that we were able to get some outside projects done so time was in short supply for commenting, but I have visited...promise!!

Anyway,I am here to share a "whoops my hand slipped" new rubber stamp, which is actually a bit unusual in that I usually tend to steer away from stamps/images that don't have a mouth as I find them a bit creepy!! On this occasion it was the teacup that persuaded me that I needed this little Gorjuss girl in my collection and paper piecing opportunities are too good to miss so home she came.

The base was made using Go Kreate Frilly Frames #10 to which I glued some very old papers which, I think, may have been Dovecraft Tea Party perhaps. The brad was from the same collection too. As you can see the cup and saucer is paper pieced and shade and the rest of the image was coloured by Promarkers. The border was made using a lawn fawn die and all the edges were inked with weathered wood for some definition.

I am trying my hand at these challenges

Scrap and Craft #10 - Tag it
Stamping Sensations - Dies and punches
Make the day special June - Colour challenge
(Right swatch, pink, blue and grey)

Allsorts #316 - Use a stamp
Addicted to stamps #107 - Bingo
(Middle row = Sentiment, Stamped image and a brad)
The Sugar Bowl #125 - Anything Goes

A colleague is on holiday this week meaning free time will be limited so I shall see you when I see you xx

Made me smile reading your post Sarah as I too have a bit of a thing about images with no face and was once known to add them to a number of birthday cards received. But I must say this one is rather different as her eyes and lovely dark hair draw your attention rather than the lack of full facial features. And the shape and design of your card is very pretty.

Many thanks for joining in at Stamping Sensations and Allsorts challenges.

Sarah, a very pretty, girly card. I to find these images creepy, and I think I would tend to good and draw a mouth on, so avoid them. Hazel x

Very Alice in Wonderland Sarah! Know what you mean about the mouthless faces, my daughter says they make her shudder!
Hope you managed to get those jobs done, it's just started raining here but Al says he has to fix the gate into the railway field as it has come off the pivot. :)

I'm glad you were out enjoying the sunshine at the weekend; I've been AWOL for a whole week and just catching up now!
So, I had a little peek back at all your delightful cards that I missed while I was away and then this Gorjuss little number; I can see why you fell for this cutie and her paper pieced teacup is fab :-) I love the pretty papers too!

Big hugs, Kat xx

Sarah, she's really cute peeking out from the pretty teacup. I'm with you on the 'no mouth' look as well, but this one's quite alright. (my only exception is that little waif that My Favorite Things has..but I don't care for Tildas, for myself). Love what you've done with this little one, coloring is perfection. The shaped card is so pretty & very dainty scallop border to balance that sweet teacup. Good luck with the outside chores...TFS & Have a great week. Hugs.

I'm sorry, I know you prolly already know I'm mad as a box of frogs, but I did have a big chuckle out of you saying that you don't like images of people w/o mouths (I quite agree) because you find them creepy and then you go and put her inside a teacup with the admonition to "drink me!" Talk about creepy! haha! Sarah, you know I'm just teasing you I hope. I couldn't resist now, could I? It really is the most adorable card!! Hugs, Darnell
