Family or Friends

Hello friends thank you for stopping by today where I am as pleased as punch to be sharing my inspiration for

We would love to see projects that you have made for friends or family, don't forget to tell us why.

I am very fortunate to work with a fabulous bunch of ladies and make them a different gift for Christmas each year. I have previously gifted hot chocolate bags, tree decorations and pocket tissue holders. This year I have made them Festive Face Coverings as seen on my glamorous assistant!!

I have made myself quite a few during the pandemic
to co-ordinate with certain items of clothing and have used this tutorial every time. The prep takes far more time than the actual sewing and the results are always perfect.

I hope that you will manage to find some time to play along.

Keep well and see you soon xx

These are great Sarah. I'll have to have a look at the tutorial and dig out my material box. Your glamorous assistant is so cute, but looks as though she's been a bit naughty in the last pic and having a right game :) x

Lucky friends is all I can say. My bestie made them for the local hospice and sent me a couple but I have such a tiny head they were too big! Luckily I found the perfect pattern online with my own addition of a milk container plastic nose piece and as elastic was in such short supply around here, I used hair bobbles! Her masks were not wasted though, as I gave them to my son's girlfriend and one to my daughter. The OH can't wear normal ones as they interfere with his hearing aids and glasses, LOL, so I had to make ones with full head elastic especially for him. Merry Christmas. :)

Very clever and creative, I love the festive colours and like all your handmade gifts I bet these will be treasured... perhaps more than previous years as they have a meaning. Stay safe Sarah and I hope you have a Merry quiet Christmas x

That is something I have yet to do - to make masks coordinating with some outfits. Sounds like such a clever idea. But then again, I'm always looking for a mask and just grabbing one that is clean and run out the door :-) Yours are beautiful and I bet you look very stylish wearing them :-)
Merry Christmas!
Hugs,
Lena

What a lovely idea for a gift Sarah and beautifully made too. Looking forward to a time when these are not necessary though but I fear it will be a long time yet.
Stay safe and look after yourself.
