AYLI, Rubber, Clear or Digi?

When I started stamping, there were really only red or grey rubber stamps on wooden mounts and with limited brands too. How times have changed, multiple stamps in a single themed pack and we can now even resize digi images and/or sentiments to suit.

Our prompt for you this time at As You like It is for you to share your favourite type of stamp, and don't forget to tell us why.

I have been having a little bit of a tidy up and have made a rather large pile of stamps that haven't seen ink for a while, this is one of them (no longer available in rubber but as a digi). My stamping platform makes perfect stamping so much easier and there isn't the worry of smudging the printer ink with my alcohol markers.

I coloured Oliver with my Promarkers and die cut a football to stamp the sentiment on to. The brickwork is a very old embossing folder, wood grain one side and brick the other, possible Spellbinders?

Anyway that's all for today.

Keep well everyone xx

I frequently think the same Sarah and stamp platforms certainly are one of the most useful of the more recent introductions.

A super card for the lads today.

Love that background Sarah, perfect for Oliver! I had a clear up too and found a box of ancient wooden block stamps with prices still on, my were they expensive. No wonder it took a time to get a good selection for the stash. Must admit I'm still loathe to fork out unless I consider them stamps multi purpose.
Thanks for joining us at Cardz4Guyz too. :)

Hi Sarah a fabulous card design and a stamp I still love perfect for the boys Regarding* stamps I much prefer the rubber stamps every time but sadly digis do seem popular I hate digi sentiments as you cannot heat emboss them or stamp them on a matching scrap of paper . I use all but still like a proper stamp Like others I have a stamping platform as well However there are certain brand that stamp perfectly every time

Take care and thanks for your kind comments on my blog Love and hugs Carole x

What a perfect Teen card, Sarah and you have composed and coloured it beautifully. Love the textured background too! I would have said this is a typical teenager walking with earphones plugged in but I have to admit I do the same now on my walks if I'm alone!
Have a good weekend.

I recall those days, Stampin' Up and Close to My Heart were the major players. I can hardly stamp now without my stamp platform. Oliver is wonderful, I love the texture you've achieved with the embossing folder.
