Ribbon or Twine at AYLI

Hello friends. I have another Christmas card to share with you today. It's my DT piece for

where the theme is

Ribbon or Twine (and why)

As ever, I am aware of the cost of postage so for a bit of detail and texture, without the bulk, I tend to use twine.
That said I still have a massive array of ribbons that I will possibly use one day!!

The birdhouse is one of my first purchases from Lili of the Valley back in the days before digitals. The backing paper is also from a real life 8x8 paper pad which, I think, is available in digi form. I also used their Christmas sentiments tag stamp set for the little tag greeting.

You can see the image a little better here and the lovely frosty snow that I added once I'd coloured with Promarkers.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you will be inspired to share your makes with us.

See you soon xx

Traditional Christmas Colours at Allsorts

Good Morning and Happy Weekend. We are dipping our toe into the festive season at Allsorts this week where the theme chosen by Lynne is

Traditional Christmas Colours

Two prizes, Tim Holtz Festive Foliage stamp set and voucher for digital download from Buddly Crafts, founded in 2003, we've grown from a digital downloads store into the online craft supplies shop. We stock a wide range of exciting products for card making and mixed media art carefully selected from the world’s most creative and time-tested arts and crafts brands.

Here is what I made

using a lovely clear stamp set (Holly Collage) from Buddly Crafts . I coloured the stamped image with Promarkers and inked the background using Antique Linen DI and I glossy accented the Holly label. The lovely paper is from a very old (practically antique) paper pad by Authentique, called Wonder. It was the perfecg background. The sentiment is from the stamp set also and, like the image, I mounted it on gold matt board for a bit of luxury.

Thank you for stopping by. Life here has been a little bit bonkers for the last month or so but with the end of Flu/Covid Clinics in sight and no additional horses to tend to I might actually manage to get a bit of additional crafty time ( in between invites of course!!).

See you soon xx

Square or Not at AYLI

Hello everyone. Hope this week is being kind to you. I am here with inspiration for our new challenge at

where the theme is Square or Not? (with your reason of course)

In a bid to use excess card stock in my stash (and believe me there is a LOT!!) I have been making my own A6 card blanks. I also appear to accumulated many envelopes of the same size so win, win!!

This card was made using an old paper kit from Craftwork Cards. I subscribed to the monthly kits a very long time ago and this is Pretty Patchwork. All of the elements are from the kit.

Autumn is well and truly underway here in the UK and it's been glorious once more, after a week of much needed rain. Gales are forecase for tomorrow so I hope to get a little bit of crafty time. I am drowning in Wedding Invitations at the moment as Connor (youngest) and his Fiance, Amelia have asked me to make their wedding stationery...eeeek.

See you soon xx

Woodland Critters at Allsorts

I am honoured to be hosting at Allsorts this time and my optional theme is

Woodland Critters

I have made a couple of fussy cut memorydex cards using some free digitals from Amanda Charlesworth (Scrimping Mommy) she is so inspirational with her journal making and generous with her freebies too. I really enjoyed fussy cutting the elements and had enough left over to make a little topper too. I hope that you will join us with your critters and if that doesn't appeal then anything goes is always welcome.

Have a good weekend, whatever you are up to xx

Favourite Dies at Allsorts

We would love to see your favourite dies at As You Like It Challenge this time.

My most used dies are probably my Tonic Essentials scalloped circle and square sets.

As well as being perfect for mats and frames I decided to do something a little bit different with them and made some festive decor.

I die cut graduated sizes in two different colours of holographic card then stacked them with foam pads between for dimension. I then made holes top and bottom and popped a jump ring and chain at each end, one to hang and the other for some charms. I am going to pack them away for now and find somewhere to hang them in December!!

Thank you for sharing your day with me, it's much appreciated xx
