CASE it!!

Morning peeps. Hope you are all keeping dry!

Today I am sharing my last DT card of the week and ta dah...its

 As You Like It Challenge

An unusual theme this time, we would like you to CASE (for those of you, like me, who didn't know what that is, it's copying!!) a card by your/one of your favourite designers. Anyone in blogland will do but don't forget to tell us WHY that is the case!! (no pun intended!)

I chose to pinch the layout of a card from the wonderfully talented Sue at

Creations by Bearhouse

Here's mine...

and here's Sue's...

The reason I chose Sue  is because of her consistent ability to get the card "just right" and she is such a fabulous colourer inner!! Added to which she was among the first to choose to follow me when I started my journey in Blogland and she always leaves such kind comments so thank you so very much for that Sue!!
Indeed a huge thank you to ALL my lovely followers...you make it all worthwhile!

I am entering my card in these challenges

OBAG DT Card

Hi De Hi!! Hope you are all well, a calmer night last night thank goodness...I do need my sleep, especially when I get up at silly o' clock!!

My card today is for the new challenge at

It was the lovely Natali's turn to pick a theme and this time it's "Charming" , so we would like to see a charm on your creation.  Our sponsors are Papernest and I chose to use Santa Avery on my card.

Isn't she a cute little domestic goddess?! The paper was from a Polkadoodles Christmas CD rom from several Christmases ago and although she doesn't have any gingerbread people on her baking tray I thought it worked well.

I do hope you will pop over and join in and remember you must use something that is older than six months.

I am playing along here

Aud Sentiments #92 - Christmas sentiment

That's my flying post for now...off to work in a bit, a long, late day today :0(

Do hope your day is a good one whatever you are up to. Bye for now xx

Cutie Pie Bingo!

Hello and welcome to my newest followers, I am pleased to have you along on my crafting journey!!  Monday...again...and I hope you are safe and well after last night's stormy weather. Not too bad here...(we've had it worse in the past) however, there were still limbs from my weeping willow over the far side of the field!!

Anyway, on to the matter in hand .A new challenge begins today at

 The Cutie Pie Challenge.

And it's eyes down, look in....BINGO!!

I chose glitter, die cut and card candi

The adorable image was coloured with my Promarkers to match the MME papers. I glittered the edge of the sentiment and used the card candi to finish it off.

Hope you will play along this time for a chance to win.
Our sponsor is the fantabulous Crafty Ribbons.

Girly night

Howdy peeps. What an awful night, again! It was blowing a hoolie here. Our house is fairly high up and we are quite exposed so I lie there listening to, what sounds like, the roof tiles lifting, then I worry that the roofs are going to blow off the barns (unlikely as they are lower than the house!). Anyway all is well this morning but I have a few more grey hairs and bags under my eyes...so unlike the lovely Nikki on my card!!

I coloured the lovely Ladybug image with Promarkers to match the Digichick papers. Black matting enhanced the look, I think, and that's it!

I am playing along here

4 Crafty chicks #165 - Girls Night Out...artistic licence?!

Nostalgia

Hello my crafty friends, hope this finds you with dry weather. What storms we've had the past few days, the four legged members of the family took a look out of their respective doors and said "No thanks" to yesterday!! Wednesday, however, has brought another lovely day so I shall enjoy it while it lasts.

I've a little boy card to share with you today.

Many times I have admired the lovely "spine" card creations by the lovely Brenda at Floral Fantasies and have threatened on numerous occasions to have a go...well...this is my first attempt! The inspiration actually came from the papers, I then discovered some grey ribbed card and so the elongated, stripey, idea evolved. The image is from Birdie Brown, coloured, as per usual, with my Promarkers and a complimentary ribbon and bow to finish. P.S. Mog and Suzy say they would LOVE a bonio that size!!

I'm off to play here

Creative Craft challenges 2 #21 - Anything Goes
4 Crafty Girlz #4 - Anything Goes
4Crafty Chicks #164 - Multiple Layers
Allsorts Challenge #229 - Ribbons and bows

Enjoy the rest of your day and thanks for sharing your time.

Toodles for now xx

Rudolph...

I have decided I DON'T like dark mornings. We do have lights in the barn but I wear a headlight, it's getting old so the elastic is getting a little saggy and keeps sliding down to my nose...not a good look but hey at 6.00am who cares!? I had a visitor this morning too, I picked up a stray bit of pony poo and thought it weighed a bit, on closer inspection it was a toad...yuk!! I screamed, dropped it, and then had to coax it into an empty bucket in order to put it somewhere safe!! That gave me a case of the heeby jeebies I can tell you. Anyway I really don't have time to be waffling so here's the card...

I am mighty sad that Pollycraft is closing so I've had a bit of a final spend. This one, however, was a freebie. I coloured him with Promarkers. As you can see I did a stepper card for a change and it also meant I was able to use up some scraps. I sorted out my dies yesterday so had a bit of a snowflake cutting session, also using up scraps. The little sentiment was cut out and popped on a ribbon buckle die which fitted perfectly. There is a rusty bell attached to the bow too, which seems to have disappeared.

Think Pink...

Hello my crafty friends. The card I am sharing today is largely in support of Pinktober. We always get involved at work and support pink Fridays , however, I no longer work on Fridays so have made this instead to add to the box of cards that I usually  "encourage" patients to purchase for the cause!! The image and sentiment is from here and available free with another purchase, it's a great kit too! I used Nitwits papers and coloured the little owl with my Promarkers to match.

Whilst on the subject of this fantastic cause don't forget that there is still time to get your personalised watermark from  Claire Keay over at Jellypark, proceeds of which go to this charity.

I am supporting these challenges

That Craft Place - Think Pink
Jellypark Challenge - Pinktober
The Squirrel and The Fox #55 - Pink for BCA

It's rather murky here in Dorset this morning, and it doesn't look like it's going to get any better, so I may well indulge in a little craftiness later on. I have some new stamps and papers to play with so watch this space. Whatever you are doing I hope you enjoy your Sunday.
 Bye for now xx

Sweeties...

Hello one and all. Thank you for your lovely comments on my recent creations, they always make the day better! I have a bright and cheerful Christmas card to share with you today. Hope you like it.

The lovely papers are by Doodlebug  as is the bow. The little sweeties are stamped and coloured with Promarkers to match the ones on the paper. I added glossy accents to make them shine, but, as is so often the case, it doesn't show in the photo. I added the black faux stitching to compliment the greeting.

I am joining in at these challenges

Hope you have a good day and thanks for calling by xx

Waiting...

Hello all from grey and windy Dorset. Hope this finds you well.
I have another Christmas card to share today. My stamp is a favourite from LOTV that I coloured , of course, with Promarkers to match the papers which, I think, are Dovecraft from last year. The cat has the right idea looking directly at the snowflakes but I'm sure that little Milly is going to get a stiff neck!! I used a little Marianne die set for the Poinsettia and seam binding for the bow . The holly die is somewhat of a mystery but a lovely find nonetheless!!
Go on, admit it, you have things that you don't remember buying too!!

The inspiration came from these challenges

C.R.A.F.T #229 - Christmas
MAWTT - Christmas Cuties
Crafty Little Fairies - Christmas in October
The Ribbon Girl - October lovely lili challenge
Crafty Ribbons #66 - Anything Goes with ribbon

Thanks for calling to see me, I appreciate your lovely comments xx

Sketch...

Hello peeps. Our new challenge starts today at

and this time we would like to see a card using your favourite sketch. Don't forget to tell us why to be in with a chance of winning. This time it's 3 Crafty Sentiments digis up for grabs!

I chose to use the following sketch

It's a new one to me and I used it first for the challenge for which it was intended. I love the fact that it is perfect for longer/taller images which are quite often difficult to showcase. I have found this one puts everything in perfect proportion as you will see below.

I turned the sketch round so that the sentiment would be bottom right rather than top left. I love the MME papers simply because of the subtle autumn shades. I coloured an All Dressed Up image (if you haven't seen these yet, take a look, they are fab!!) with my Promarkers to match the lovely papers and simply added a LOTV tag sentiment to finish off.

I am joining in with these challenges

Chocolate, coffee and cards challenges #50 - Autumn (not Halloween)
Sister Act #28
Stampin' for the weekend - Anything Goes
Inky Impressions #130 - Fall/Autumn
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge # 149 - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by and if you have a mo pop along to see what my lovely team mates have been up to. Toodles for now xx

Colours of Autumn

Hello my crafty friends. What an awful morning we've had, bucketing with rain and really gusty winds, the leaves were blowing off the trees. Now, however, there isn't a cloud in the sky....the anomaly that is British weather I guess!!

In keeping with the weather I have another autumnal card to share with you.

I used  another of my new Stamp Fairy images that I coloured with my Promarkers. I tried lighter hair today for a change and was quite chuffed with myself as I am not the best hair colourer in the world (nor can I speak english apparently!!).
The papers were lurking in an A4 folder that I had long forgotten but work beautifully. Whilst in a rummaging mood I unearthed my embossing powders and inked up a die-namics die cut and stamped the sentiment into the warm powder. I'd forgotten what a great technique that is so be warned...there may be some more coming along!! Rusty ribbon and the complimentary button came from my stash and now I am off to join in these challenges.

Papertake Weekly - Happy Halloween Hues
Just for fun - Buttons and bows
Divas by Design - Autumn
Crafting with Dragonflies #13 - Nature, leaves and/or trees
Party Time Tuesdays #142 - Colour Challenge

That's enough waffling from me, I'm off to rearrange the bedroom furniture into it's winter position...don't I know how to live on the wild side!!?

I hope whatever you are up to that it's a good day for you and see you soon xx

Spooky.....

It's the start of a new challenge at

and this time Helen has chosen Spooky as a theme. We are sponsored by SK Digis and I chose Little Frankenstein to play with.

A simple bag made with paper from  Boo to You and the image coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut.

The "oldies" I used were my SB die for the top of the bag which I embossed with an old cuttlebug swiss dots folder and there you have it!!

I am playing along with these challenges

Sweet Stampin' - Halloween
Moving along with the times - Spooktastic

Hello my crafty friends. Here we are Monday again and I have a little DT number to share.

Our new challenge at

is Tagtastic, which means we would like you to use a tag on your project.

Our challenge is sponsored by the wonderful

and one lucky winner will win a gift certificate for their gorgeous online store.

My DT card was made for my As You Like It Team mate Annette who celebrated her  Birthday last week, but I'm sure she won't mind me sharing it with you!!

A backward joyfold, I knew as soon as I'd stuck the papers on that it was wrong....doh!!
Never mind if you didn't know.....Anyway the little tag is in the pocket on the inside.

I used MME papers, PATP punches, the Mollie Bloom's stamp came with a magazine/kit and I coloured her with my Promarkers. I used a Doo Hickey die for the tag and the heart stamp is from LOTV.

I would like to enter these challenges

Divas by Design - 3 or more layers

Do nip over and see what my lovely Teamies have been up to and join us for a play...remember though that your project MUST be CUTE!!

Christmas lights...

Hello one and all and I hope you are well.
Another glorious afternoon here in Dorset so lots done, including a little R&R in my work room and this is the result...

I haven't bought a Stamp fairy image for a while but as there is a sale at the mo, I treated myself to three, including this adorable Clementine. It would have been a crime not to team her up with the fab Bo Bunny papers, and I coloured her lights (with Promarkers, of course!!) to match. I added some shine to the bulbs with Glossy Accents but sadly that doesn't show in the photo :0(

The inspiration came from here...

Thanks for popping round to see me and for your well received comments xx

Kiss?

Hope you are well on this decidedly chilly morning...never mind it had to get cooler some time, at least it's not raining...yet!!

I have another hedgehog to share with you today...

... I used a shaped card for a change and covered it with paper. The stamp is a recent purchase, Christmas Friends, and the set has lots of wonderful images so I am sure will get used lots. I cut the die shape in cream and then coloured the relevant bits with Promarkers to match the papers and image, and glittered the bells.

I am playing along with these challenges

I have a girlie card to share with you today, another for my stock box.

Shades of Autumn

All being well, this will appear while I am out riding...so fingers crossed!!

Well, I failed in doing very little yesterday...seems I can't do "lazy"!!
I ended up doing housework, then a bit of gardening (it was a shame to waste a glorious day), then I took Suzy for a walk (Mog is far to frail to go very far now) and then I made this card!! I had great fun making it as I love the Autumn, particularly the colours,(although the leaves are only just turning here at the moment) and the earthy smells that you get first thing in the morning when the light is just breaking

I used my lovely Happy Harvest papers again. The cute image came from Squigglefly and was coloured with Promarkers, as usual. I found the lovely rust satin ribbon in my stash, it came in a bundle from Crafty Ribbons

We would like to see your Favourite Not a Card

Here's mine...

... a NO calories paper cupcake complete with wonky paper candle!!

The template and instructions came from a magazine. The cupcake case is made from Nitwits Apple butter charm paper. The candle is a square of paper rolled around a cocktail stick with a bit of button twine threaded through the middle. Finally the topping is coredinations card cut out with spellbinders circle dies. I have stuffed mine with tissue paper but of course chocolate or a gift would be a far better filling!!

Not so spooky!!

Good Evening my crafty buddies.
I hope you are all tickety boo and if not, I am sending get well wishes!!

Before I share my card today I would like to point you in the direction of the lovely Claire Keay at Jelly Park who will, for the month of October, happily create a watermark for you at the steal of a price of £2.00. All the proceeds will go to Breast Cancer Awareness. I've just received mine and it's fab, so go on treat yourself, help to raise funds for this most worthwhile cause and protect your artwork too!!

Anyway, here's today's creation (Complete with watermark!). My boys (well men really!) are too old to take Mummy trick or treating any more and I don't anticipate any callers ( we are far too remote for the village littleys to pay a visit) but I just could not resist this adorable image. She was coloured with my beloved Promarkers and I added a little glossy accents to the sweeties.

Bingo!!

Hello and welcome to my fellow bloggers!!
My second card of the week is also a DT creation, this time for

Francesca chose the theme of Bingo and this is my card. I chose Embossing, Die Cuts and Glitter.

The flowers on the band were made using a punch which was then embossed  with a cuttlebug embossing folder. I sanded them back to reveal the pink core. I also embossed a line either side of the patterned paper using my score board.

I used good old Spellbinders Classic Circles and Scalloped Circles for the card base and inside used a couple of Dienamics Blueprints dies as a border for the stamped Molly Bloom's image to sit on. To finish off I added glitter to the heart and flower. The old items are my stamp and the papers which, if my memory serves me correctly, are about ten years old!!

I am playing along at these challenges

Use it Tuesday #64 - Use two hoarded items (stamp and paper)
I love Promarkers - Make your own flowers
Charisma Cardz #38 - Decorate inside your card
Polka Doodles #39 - More than one fold

I do hope you will come and play!! xx
