Christmas with the Cutie Pies

Only six months until Christmas Eve!! Just saying!!

So, we have gone a bit dotty at

Christmas With The Cuties

and would love to see your cute Christmas cards featuring spots and dots together with a super cute image of course.

I used spotty paper from MFT and used the wonderful Paper Boutique Winter Wishes die for the card shape. The Stamping Bella  Rita and Reindeer stamp is a new one...I waited ages for it to be back in stock so didn't hesitate to colour her with my Promarkers. To finish off I added pearls and irridescent gems together with some Stardust Stickles. It really does sparkle beautifully in real life!!

Thank you for your continued visits and lovely comments. I do enjoy reading them.

See you soon xx

Summer or Winter Colours at AYLI

I may have mentioned before that back in the 80's (when I wore shoulder pads and high heels!!) a group of us from work had our " Colours Done" by a very flambouyant ambassador for Colour Me Beautiful called Marilyn. With my dark hair, eyes and skin I was  "Winter" and to this day still use my little swatches when shopping for clothes. Interestingly those colours are the ones I also favour in my card making.

So, after all that intro the new challenge at

is Summer or Winter Colours and remember to tell us why.

Here is my card using icy coolWinter colours...closed

and ta-dah...open!!

It's been a while since I have been creative with cards so decided on this pull up slider. The papers are from Crafters Companion, as are the sprig dies in the corner. Again, I should have made multiples of this card...why do I always think of it after I have put everything away!!??

That's all for now xx

Colour Crazy Craft Challenge

Well that week went by in a flash didn't it?!! Never mind there will be a new one starting in a couple of days!!
I have a DT piece today for Colour Crazy Craft Challenge.  It's always Anything Goes as long as you hand colour your image so play along if you can.

Our sponsor Createful Heart Designs is a new one to me and I really enjoyed colouring this image with Promarkers. I kept the design really simple with just some black accents and added some star dust glitter to the insects and flowers.

I apologise for the dreadful photograph...blame the rain!!

See you when I do xx

Ribbons & Bows

Hello everyone. So good to have you here on this lovely Monday morning!! Lovely because I am on Annual Leave this week...yay!! Not any firm plans as yet but Hubby is taking a few days at the end of the week so we will see what happens.

As this goes live though I will be sat in the Dentist chair having my annual check up. Not my favourite thing to be doing. I object to being asked  on every visit"do you floss and do you use an electric toothbrush?". I have been taking care of my teeth for 50 odd years thank you very much!! Rant over!! 🤪😀

Anyway, I digress, I am here to encourage you to come and join The Cutie Pie Challenge
where our theme is Ribbons and Bows, featuring a cute image of course.

I am still in LOTV mode. I loved colouring this little fella with my Promarkers, although I should probably have grounded him, he rather looks like he is floating!!. The papers are from a pad that came from The Range and my ribbon and bow take the form of seam binding.

That's all for today. I hope you have a good week, whatever is in store xx

LOTV all the way!!

Today I am here with my DT piece for As You Like It Challenge. I am hosting this time and we are asking you to share your favourite stamp brand.

Mine appears to be Lily of the valley judging by the size of the pile I sorted!! When I first started rubber stamping I loved seeing Bev Rochesters handiwork for LOTV in crafting magazines and progressed to following her blog. The purchase of many LOTV stamps followed and today's card features one of the very last of their rubber production. It is the cute factor that has always appealed and they are always a dream to colour. In this case with Promarkers

It was also the perfect opportunity to try out my new Crafters Companion die.

I hope you will be able to join us. It will be a great chance to sort out your rubber stamp collections and find some forgotten treasures!!

That's me for today. See you soon xx

Let's hear it for the boys!!

Blimey...that title is a flash back to the 80's!! Remember Denice Williams?

Anyway, my post today is a special one as I am guest designer over at the lovely Jo's

It's a male flavoured challenge this month and I made this...

Yes, I cheated by using a printable from LOTV's Etsy Shop. Sorry...not sorry!! I could never colour Oliver as well as that and time was running out to make a card for a 14 year old lad so he fit the bill perfectly. I used spotty paper from a MFT paper pad and that was that.

Thank you again Jo for inviting me to join in and also for taking the time to host this challenge each month and ( I know from personal experience) offering such lovely winners' prizes too.

I must apologise for my lack of visits what with holiday cover at work and other commitments I have found little time to spend blogging. We had a bit of a sudden loss recently, my lovely Mo, the yard cat was run over while sleeping in the sun. She was laid to rest with Mog and Suzy amongst the spring bulbs.

R.I.P Mo the cat

This was her with "the boys" chilling while I was mucking out a couple of weeks ago.
She moved in during the 2012 Olympics, hence her name. She was in a right old state, thin, scraggly but very friendly and made herself right at home in the hay barn.
Sometimes she would wander up the field to the house and sit outside the patio doors meowing until we let her in. Would stay just long enough for a cuddle and then take herself back to the barn. She will be missed but, as she was the second cat to have found us , I live in hope that perhaps in time, another will choose to move in...who knows?

Thank you for your time today. See you soon xx
