Family or Friends

Hello friends thank you for stopping by today where I am as pleased as punch to be sharing my inspiration for

We would love to see projects that you have made for friends or family, don't forget to tell us why.

I am very fortunate to work with a fabulous bunch of ladies and make them a different gift for Christmas each year. I have previously gifted hot chocolate bags, tree decorations and pocket tissue holders. This year I have made them Festive Face Coverings as seen on my glamorous assistant!!

I have made myself quite a few during the pandemic
to co-ordinate with certain items of clothing and have used this tutorial every time. The prep takes far more time than the actual sewing and the results are always perfect.

I hope that you will manage to find some time to play along.

Keep well and see you soon xx

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

Hello again!! More Cutie inspiration for you, this time

where we are saying "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and would love to see your Cutie Christmas cards inspired by a Christmas song or carol.

Mine is Frosty the Snowman

I used glitter paste through a snowflake stencil for the background that, on it's own, looked a little bit bare so I had a rummage through my die cuts and found a little house scene that was a freebie from Dies to Die For. The little snowman is from a Cats Pajamas set and was coloured with Promarkers.

While on the subject of Frosty, you may remember that I was planning to make sock snowmen, well here is the first!!

I was really pleased with the result, there are loads of tutorials on You Tube if you would like to have a go, it was really easy to do but be warned, you need LOTS of rice!!

So, that is me for today. I hope this week will be a good one for you. Thak you for popping in to see me, your comments and support are much appreciated xx

White Christmas

Happy Monday peeps!! It's a double whammy from me today with two Cutie visits.

I will kick off with

where it's WHITE CHRISTMAS

I went with a CAS design and used an uninked stamp set from Crafters Companion.

I coloured, as usual, with my Promarkers using the package as inspiration. The lovely sentiment is from a very old Chocolate Baroque Christmas message set.

See you in a bit!! xx

Naughty List

Hello friends, hope you have had a good week. Mine has whooshed by and I expect yours has too.

I have a tall card to share today, it's my inspiration for

Our sponsor this time is Oddball Art and I used  Naughty List. I coloured her with my Promarkers used a printed Nitwits paper as a background.

I had some scraps of lime green mirror board so used them to frame the image and sentiment.

Hope you have a good weekend xx

This house believes!!

So, December and new lockdown tiers have arrived, good and bad in equal measure I think!!

I have more christmas cheer for you today by way of a little sign that I made.

Today heralds the start of the new challenge at

and we would love to see your projects inspired by your favourite Christmas film. I have lots that I watch time and time again but top of the list has to be Miracle on 34th Street, any of the versions actually but I love the part in the most recent one where the "bad" people share their well hidden "I believe" badges!!
Now we definitely believe in the Wills household so I made this...

..."no doubt about it, he's real!!"

It's not a great picture, so I apologise for that, dull days and artificial lighting do not make for brilliant photos do they?!

I dusted off a piece of MDF and covered it with some suitably festive snowflake paper. Now something brilliant happened this week, Jules mentioned her Craft Artist programme on a post and I was reminded how much I loved using it on my old desktop computer which died well over a year ago. I knew I still had the installation disk which I assumed would not be compatible with Windows 10 so imagine my utter elation when I discovered that IT WORKS!!!! Martin could not quite understand why I was jumping about beside myself with joy, but that's men for you!! Anyway, the point of this unnecessary rambling is to say that I was able to easily type, colour and shadow text, print it out, fussy cut it and layer it onto the covered board!! Phew!! Many die cuts were  sprayed with shimmer spray and randomly stuck on, together with a bit of bling and glamour dust was sprinkled everywhere. Trust me, it's incredibly sparkly!!

Keep well everyone xx

Feature a Creature!!

Hello to you all. Back to the grindsstone for me today after a lovely week at home.

What better way to kick off the week than with a cute Christmas card for our lovely new challenge at

it's a good one too...Feature a Creature...here's mine...a gorgeous piggy!!

I found the perfect paper in my stash (it's from Craftwork Cards) and coloured the image (from our Sponsor)  with Promarkers. I chopped the doily in half as I didn't want to cover up the pudding paper too much. I was a bit unsure but I actually think it works. I added stickles galore and layered the die cut sentiment from Creative Expressions.

Thank you for your visit and messages of encouragement. It means a lot, during these still uncertain times, that the crafty community continues to support each other with our comments and visits.

See you when I do!! Take Care everyone xx

Snowman or Penguin

Hello friends, I hope today finds you safe and well. Typical that I choose to take annual leave during Lockdown 2.0 but never mind, the weather has been relatively kind and the idea of going shopping takes excitement to another level!!

So, it's time for a new challenge at

and we are getting the Christmas spirit with our theme

Snowman or Penguin?

The kid in me would still love a white Christmas, actual snow on Christmas Day that is. For that reason I have chosen a snowman as my project, and a crochet one that I made up as I went along.

He is only about three inches high and will have a loop on his head to hang him on the tree...ooooh that sounds horrid, but you know what I mean!! No wonder he is looking so sad, it is actually the lash on the yarn!!

Have a good day whatever you are up to. It looks like it is going to be dry so the plan is to do a bit more tidying up in the garden.

Looking forward to seeing your penguins or snowmen xx

Christmas Cuddle

Hope you have had a good week. I have had a busy one, work wise, staff holiday and the last Flu Clinic have taken up a fair chunk of my time and it has been outside weather too!! I am on annual leave next week , so I can live with it!! Before that though I have a sweet card to share with you in support of a new Colour Crazy Craft Challenge where it is always anything goes as long as you share a hand coloured image.

The lovely image is Christmas Cuddle although I think she would make an equally lovely Winter Birthday card.

I used another of those pesky paper pads that invaded my basket in The Works and coloured her, with Promarkers, to match.

You can see a little better on this one that I stickled her and the cat and even gave my very old liquid pearls an airing!!

I am well and truly getting into the Christmas spirit, my gift shopping is almost finished, I made my Christmas cake last weekend and have even watched Miracle on 34th Street!! I haven't made a final decision on gifts for my colleagues just yet but am leaning towards sock snowmen so might just make a start this weekend and see how that goes. If it works I will let you have a look!!

I will leave you with the colours of Dorset.

Have a good weekend and keep well xx

Buttons!!

Happy Monday everyone. Hope that you had a good weekend. After a couple of frosty days last week we had a balmy weekend and managed to get the garden tidied up again as well as our walks.

At The Cutie Pie Challenge this time we would love to see buttons added to your cute card. I took a break from Christmas projects and made this...

Our sponsor is Polkadoodles and I chose an adorable pre-coloured image this time. As well as hoarding paper and ribbon I also have a rather large collection of buttons so it was a cinch finding some that colour matched the image. They were threaded with wax cotton. The sentiment is from an LOTV set.

That is all from me for today. See you soon xx

His or Hers

Hello friends. Hope Thursday finds you well whether, like me you are on the cusp of Lockdown #2 or waking up to the possibility of a new President!! Whatever is going on where you are in the world I hope that you will be inspired by my little DT card for the new challenge starting at

The theme is His or Hers.

I really was going to challenge myself and make a card for a fella but made the decision to stay true to myself and make what I love most, a girlie card. It also meant that I could delve into paper mountain and get some inspiration. I ended up choosing a lovely pad from Craftwork Cards as a backdrop for this adorable image from Lili of the valley She and her pooch were coloured with my Promarkers and the icing on the cake was glittered a bit.

Take care everyone and I hope that you will find the time to join us.

See you soon xx

Christmas Teddies

My word, these Monday's roll around so quickly, it's not usually my favourite day of the week as it is my long day at work (7.30am to 6.30pm...urghhh!!) however, I don't mind the Mondays where I get to share a little bit of Christmas cheer by way of a DT piece for

and this time we would LOVE to see your Cute Christmas Teddies.

Here's mine.....

...such a cutie and just look at the dinky little mouse on his head!!

Now, I really kicked back and went a bit wild on this one. No papers for a start, just look at all that white space too and guess what? I have been playing with inks...Oh I bet you are proud of me Brenda and Chrissy , not quite to your standards but I loved trying it, so thank you both for the inspiration you share and keep a look out for more inky cards in the future!! Anyway, the Stamping Bella stamped image was coloured with my Promarkers and the little sentiment was part of a set that came free with a magazine.

So, that's about it for today. Like everywhere, there is nothing much happening here but I do consider myself blessed to have my animals to keep me sane and in some kind of normal routine. The walks with the dogs are getting more colourful, although the storms of the weekend have stripped quite a few leaves off the trees. I have also started to do some Christmas shopping, from the sofa. For a few years now I have tried to source, at the very least, items made in the UK and this year have even managed to find gifts that were produced right here in Dorset.

Thank you for your continued visits and words of encouragement. It is much appreciated.

Hope this coming week is a good one. Take Care xx

What goes with blue?

Hello lovelies, how are you doing? Okay I hope in these strange October days.

Now I wouldn't say that I avoid blue, but it really isn't my "go to" colour so my DT piece for

was a challenge for me in itself....BLUE plus another colour.

My regular visitors will know that I am somewhat addicted to paper pads so it will not be a shock when I tell you that during a ( masked up, socially distanced) trip to The Works, five of the little devils jumped into my basket. I didn't have the heart to put them back on the shelf!! Anyway this one was blue and a pretty shade of pink, a perfect combo for this sweet pop up Christmas card. I used my Lawn Fawn die set for the base, cut a snowy hill that I glittered, and dug out Mama Elephant Reindeer Games stamp set for little Rudolph and his lady friend, who were coloured with Promarkers.

I hope that you will join us.

Keep well everyone and see you soon xx

Too Cute To Spook!!

Happy Monday everyone. Hope you are doing okay today.

I have such a cute card to share with you. It is my DT piece for

where we are going all ghostly and creepy in our Too Cute To Spook Challenge.

This is my gruesome card...

...did you really think I could do gruesome!!??

I used this image from our sponsor Di's Digis and it was a pleasure to colour with my Promarkers.

We have never been big on Halloween in our house and I can't imagine there will be very much Tricking or Treating this year but this little cutie will be sent to our Granddaughter Mollie.

Hope your week ahead will be a good one xx

Festive fabrics

Hello everyone, hope you are well today, if not then I hope there are better days ahead.

Well, the long awaited rain finally arrived and we had a pretty horrid weekend. I could bear the pleading faces of the ponies no longer and brought them in for a couple of nights (that sounds like I had them in the house!! Really... I didn't!!). Aren't the mornings and nights getting darker too? Had to happen some time I suppose!!

Anyway, while looking for fabrics to make some face coverings I found some lovely Christmas fabrics and felt so made some decorations. I hope that they will inspire you to join in at

As You Like It Challenge

where we are inviting you to share your Non-Card projects, with a little explanation of course.

I also discovered polystyrene balls in my stash so decided on a rag decoration. This bauble was relatively quick and easy. I started with 2" squares of fabric and poked them into the polystyrene using the non hook end of a crochet hook.

For this little felt ornament I took inspiration from Marianne who shares gorgeous handsewn decorations. I die cut the felt and then simply embroidered a snowflake freestyle (the wonkiness adds some charm I feel!!). I brushed up on my blanket stitch and stuck on a bow and ribbon hanger.

I have gingerbread men waiting to be stitched too so watch out for those.

That's all for today folks. Stay Safe xx

Christmas in the snow....

...now there's a thought after the rubbish year we have had so far. At the rate things are going Christmas may be a very quiet affair so it would be nice to have a bit of snow to look at, what do you think?!!

If you are not a fan of my idea how about joining in at the new challenge at

where snow and/or snowmen are order of the day.

Here is my card

very CAS for me and using just one stamp set from Woodware that has been sitting in my NBUS box for a couple of years I think!! I used my Promarkers to colour him in one of my favourite Christmas colour combos, aqua and red. Lots of sparkle for the snow and glossy accents to make the carrot nose nice and shiny.

Hope you are all doing ok whether in lockdown or not. Keep well and see you soon xx

Bright or Pastel?

Hello friends and visitors. Hope everyone is keeping well amid the continued pandemic.

I have a couple of bright and cheery Christmas cards to share with you today to inspire you to join in at

where we are looking forward to seeing your makes using bright or pastel colours.

I love bold and bright statement colours both in cardmaking and my clothes, so a bright red and green combo seemed perfect for these cute cards. I used Lawn Fawn Home for the Holidays stamp and die sets for the little red car and associated roof luggage!!

That's all for today. Stay Safe and see you soon xx

Coffee Confidential

I am here with my piece for

where the theme is always Anything Goes as long as your card features a hand coloured image.

I had a ball colouring this lovely image from our sponsor, Digi Doodle Studios, using my Promarkers.

The digi papers were lurking in a scrap box so I have no idea where they came from!!

I hope you are all keeping well. See you soon xx

A Cutie Birthday Party!!

Hello friends. My word aren't we galloping through September already and as it is the second Monday I am here to share my DT piece for

It is a special post this time as we are eleven years old and are having a right old shindig with lots of sponsors for our BIRTHDAY PARTY theme.

Here is my card

Once again I sorted through my paper mountain and came upon this lovely MME pad that was the starting point for this easel card. I coloured Spring Bloom, with Promarkers, to compliment the papers and added some touches of glitter. I borrowed an idea from my lovely buddy Annette and used a Crafters Companion Circle Sentiments die for the curved sentiment, it is amazing how PVA glue can make card bendy!!

I know it really doesn't scream PARTY, but due to the Covid-19 restrictions the little bunny is off to a socially distanced gathering for two without the bells, whistles and pom poms!!  If, on the other hand you do want an all out PARTY then please do come along and join us, all the details are here!!

See you soon xx

My Favourite Stencil

Something totally different from me today...a stencil.

I have the total sum of two stencils in my stash ( I have used my other one here!) and this is my favourite floral one!! It was a magazine freebie a very long time ago and has survived the stash cull on a number of occasions. Looks like I was right to put it in the "might use one day" drawer!! I used distress inks for the colour and although I was reasonably pleased with the shading just felt that it needed a little something. That turned out to be another item from the same drawer, a can of pearl spray from here. I think the black frame works rather well together with the LOTV sentiment.

That's all for now. Have a good weekend when it arrives xx

A book of promises

You may recall back along that I mentioned a Book Of Promises that I was making for Connor's Girlfriend Amelia. Well her Birthday has been and gone and so I can share it with you. Once again my paper mountain came up trumps when he told me that she liked green and mustard...of course I could lay my hands on papers featuring those colours!! I did consider cutting the pages by hand but, here's the thing, I had my eye on a Hunkydory Memory Book die set and when I researched it found that it was reduced so just had to get it!! It was SO worth it!!

I was incredibly proud of him for thinking up such a thoughtful and unique present.

The front and back were covered in the same papers and I chose a dark chocolate coloured Centura pearl card for her name that was die cut using CC letter dies. I happened to have some binder rings that I added tons of ribbon to for decoration. Amelia is not a girly girl so I left the embellishments at that!!

Connor's original brief was to have tear out pages but I managed to persuade him that pockets to hold tags would be far better and then she was able to keep the whole gift intact. I somehow managed to use a different co-ordinating paper for each of the pages and pockets. The pages and tags were cream linen card and I found cream pearl paper that I typed the promises on to.

Each tag was numbered and he really did think of some really meaningful "promises".

One of my favourites was his suggestion to grab a blanket and a picnic and watch the sunset from the boot of the car. I think he gets his romantic notions from his old Mum!!

There were twenty pockets in all and the last contained the promise of a holiday, once we are let out again!! As you can imagine she was thrilled to bits and I understand that a few have been redeemed already!!

Thank you for stopping by. See you soon xx

Arctic Friends

Hello everyone I found myself a bit of "me time" today and sat down and made this.

In my quest to use my stash I found this lovely Penny Black, T for transparent, stamp. It's Arctic Friends and available here. Although there is a lot of white, it was quite a tricky card to colour using my trusty Promarkers. If you would like to replicate the wintertime night sky, I blended Midnight Blue, Denim Blue and Powder Blue and added the falling snow with white pen. I also discovered yet another untouched paper pack, this time a fab Polkadoodles collection. I was inspired by several challenges so to comply with the brief made a round base using my Tonic layering scalloped circles die set and finished off with a Creative Expressions die cut sentiment. Ooh and Stardust Stickles provided the snow!!

I can't tell you what a treat it has been to make a card for fun and the rate at which the nights are drawing in I am hopeful to be able to do this more often. I hope you are managing to make time for yourselves.

That's all for now lovely people. I am off to join in with these challenges, mind you knowing Blogger it might take several hours!!

How do you add ribbon?

Hello!! Hope you are all doing ok, wherever you are in the world.

Don't be alarmed but there is not a cute image in sight on my card today. Instead I used one of the rather lovely sentiments from LOTV. The equally lovely papers are from a Tilda pad that I have been stroking  had for over ten years and finally used!!

It is hopefully to inspire you to join in the new challenge that starts today at

As You Like It Challenge

and your prompt this time is to show us how you add ribbon to your cards. I may have mentioned once or twice  that my ribbon collection is almost as vast as my papers!! Sadly I don't use ribbon too much these days but when I do it's to add a bow which I always think adds a really nice finishing touch.

Thank you for dropping by and for your kind comments on my recent makes. It is much appreciated.

Have a good weekend and see you soon xx

Christmas Cutie Bling!!

Hello!! I know, it's me again...three posts in the space of a week, that is rare these days!!

Anyway the reason for my post today is another Christmas card for

where we are covered in BLING!!

Here is my bit of inspiration for you

and typically the sparkle and shine really does not show up as well on the screen as in real life.

Trust me it is very sparkly!! I had used my last piece of glitter board so had to improvise using white cardstock and my trusty Glamour Dust Crystal glitter to make the snowy scene. The cute snowman and companion dies are from Lawn Fawn, coloured with Promarkers.

See you soon xx
