Morning one and all. Not a good one though as I am back to work today :0(
Before I go I would like to share this little card with you.

The rubber stamp is Penny Black's Lulu's Cupcake which I coloured to compliment the freebie backing papers. What a cutie and perfect for Little Miss Muffet Challenge #59 -Food, glorious food

Whatever you are doing have a good day x

Saturday 27 April 2013

Amazing what you can do with rubbish isn't it!? I was inspired by the following challenges

Allsorts Week 204 - Anything but a card

These are what I started with, much to Hubby's amusement!

I am ashamed to say that the papers I used were another forgotten gem from a We Are Memory Keepers kit that I bought years ago. I chopped about an inch from the stain remover container to utilise a whole sheet of 12x12. A Martha Stewart punch provided the trim around the tops of the pots. I used MFT  Layered Roses dies for the flowers, and a couple of different small flourish dies. I had perfectly coloured card candi which I popped in the centre of the flowers and finished off with some tangerine gems that have been crying out to be used for yonks.

I am really rather chuffed and they look so pretty on my work room desk.

Have a lovely evening x

Friday 26 April 2013

Evening all!! What a lovely one it is too - I think we deserve it after the nasty winter that has just gone!!

Anyway this card was inspired by the following challenges

Two grown up cards is quite enough for this week!! The image came from the Spring Animals set by The Digistamp Boutique. She was coloured with Promarkers as was the die cut spellbinders scalloped circle. I had forgotten all about the lovely Nitwits Collection "Garden Fairies" that I had sitting in my digi folder on the old 'puter so it was lovely to be reunited!! The sentiment was computer generated and die cut with
MFT Fishtail Flag stax and that's it, except for some little black gems..

....and this is the inside .

Hope my card has moooved you :0)

See you soon x
Wow, what a glorious day!!
However I have neglected the great outdoors for a mo and been a little indulgent and made a card featuring all the requirements for the following challenges

Cupcake Craft Challenges - Monochromatic

Another grown up card using MME - "Come away with me" papers (fond of this pad at the moment!) as the starting point for the monochromatic theme (blue and cream). The sentiment is stamped on the centre from a Marianne Craftables Passe partout die set and some chinese roses. All the elements have been distresssed with ink or a sanding block and that's it folks!!

Oh and here is the inside

Thanks for coming to see me, it's much appreciated x

A passion for flowers..........Now, don't get me wrong I love flowers but am never quite sure how to incorporate them in a "whole" project, so today I am going for it and sharing a card
that is quite different for me.

I hope you like my effort!!

I squidged Big & Juicy, Foliage, on my craft mat and spritzed with water then placed my card on top,I then used my mini mister with water and Perfect Pearls and spritzed again. After the base was dry I used  stamps from Paper Artsy Jofy 11 to build up the picture and distressed the edges with Frayed Burlap DI. I stamped the butterfly on a lighter piece of card and cut it out, added some copper beads in a bottle and popped it on top. The addition of a die cut butterfly and some gems finishes it off. That's it.

Bye for now x
Just in case you were wondering...I haven't left the country!! We finally lost the internet completely, last weekend, and our new provider didn't get us up and running until yesterday...Grrrrrr! Anyway enough of the  whining I have some catching up to do!
I have been a busy bunny outside, making most of the dry weather, so haven't spent much time crafting so I am sharing the retirement card that I made last week for a work colleague.

He is a keen gardener  so I thought that this stamped image was perfect. It is from a set by Lindsay Mason called Shelves. The papers are MME, Come away with me, and I attached a good old LOTV sentiment with a brad.

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it x

Pastel Colours

I used a magazine freebie stamp for this card which I am entering in the

The papers were magazine freebies too and fit the pastel Promarker colours perfectly I think. I also found a rub on which fitted the theme. Have to say I don't use them very often as I haven't achieved a great deal of success in the past, however, today it worked!! A bow and a corner die to complete.

Thanks for your visit x

Happy Birthday Girl
Good Morning. Today's first card is for

Yet another Crafter's Companion image "Martini Girl" . She was coloured with Promarkers, cut out and mounted on to MME paper and embellished with black glitter on her shoes for a bit of glamour!!
I finished off with a sentiment from the set and a snipped off La La Land heart banner. Still haven't got to grips with the camera...GRRRR!!

Cheerio for now x

Cute and Cuddly

Hope my internet lasts long enough for me to get this post completed.
Technology - great when it works!!

The stamp is another Crafter's Companion one "Strawberry Kisses - Cutie" . I cut her out and stuck her atop a doily die cut. (Cheery Lynn I think). The papers and paint strip are from the
Time for Tea Collection by Nitwits. I tend to avoid anything with a mauve/purple hue (not a favourite colour of mine!) but it looks quite nice with the lemon and sage green.

That's it for the moment. May be back later. x

Button it up
On Annual Leave this week so here is another creation that I put together this morning while the men were working! This time it's for Passion for Promarkers - Week 194 Button it up

A square card again with magazine freebie papers (unusual combination I thought - but it works). I rediscovered a Martha Stewart punch that I had put away and cut a border. I made a 3" envelope using the reverse side of the backing paper and added the all important button. The stamped image is
Springtime Wishes,  really sweet and  so easy to colour (with Promarkers of course!).

The little tag , inside the envelope, is stamped with a message from one of the Creative Expressions sets.

I have inspiration galore today, so bye for now, I'm off to make a retirement card x

Another Sketch......
this time for 613 Avenue Create a new challenge for me..... and this was the sketch to follow
I have been good again and used another CC stamp ( " Strawberry Kisses - Together" ) from my stash :0) , however the papers are new from Craftwork cards and I can't be cross with myself because they are gorgeous and such a fab price for the whole kit!! It was nice to make a tent card for a change.
Hope you like it.
Thanks for sharing your time with me x

Sketch
AGOAC have a sketch this week for a change .
Here is my interpretation.

I dug out Cosmo Cricket "Material Girl" (This was the first ever paper pad that I bought!!) and paper pieced the dress form (a Kanban stamp I think). The border was the off cut from another border (waste not want not!) . Mounted the image on an X-cut scalloped frame, added the three complimentary buttons and stamped sentiment that's it - job done!

Have a good day and thanks for your time x

Pink and Green

This was an easy one as I love this colour combination. The inspiration came from

I used a Craftworks Cards Stepper for a change. The stamp is one (of three-whoops New Year's Resolution slipping!) that I found at My Mum's Craft Shop which I coloured and mounted on a spellbinders scalloped circle. The papers came from the old stash and a little sentiment and seam binding bow complete the look. Apologies for the piccie, the light isn't great here yet and it's a new camera that I haven't quite got to grips with yet, I should look at the manual I suppose lol

Cheerio for now x
S for Sarah
What a fab idea for a challenge from Allsorts - Letter of your name,
it certainly got my old cogs clunking and here is what I came up with....
Spots, stripes, spellbinders, satin ribbon and a sentiment.

See, I can do "grown up" cards!!

Better go and prepare the veg and I'll be back later.

Thanks for dropping by x

Raining Cats and Dogs

There seems to be an animal theme going on this week! No matter, they are my favourite things - no arguing, no demands, no having to surgically remove the TV remote control......need I go on?! :0)

I am ashamed to say this was another long forgotten purchase that had yet to see the light of day. However, perfect for Cupcake's Raining Cats and Dogs Challenge (it really is as I'm typing this!!). Coloured, as ever, with Promarkers, but I did paper piece her little frock. The papers are more freebies and there you have it.

Work tomorrow and Friday so Bye for now x
Purple and green don't usually appear at the top of my colour combo list but here goes for
I had a hunt through the stash and found LOTV's Dandelion Clock that I haven't used for some time. Coloured her with Promarkers, gave her glittery wings with stickles and stuck her on a spellbinders die cut floral oval. MME's So Sophie "Graceful" was the perfect paper, together with a couple of border dies (one in complimentary paper and the other in the same core'dinations as the frame) and a sentiment tag stamp (that I wasn't aware that  I owned!!). The Wild Orchid products used were  Sweetheart blossom, that I stuck onto a lilac punched flower and a Filigree corner that I coloured with alcohol ink.

Thanks for sharing my day x

Surprise

It wouldn't have been right for me to enter one of the following challenges and not include an animal of the equine variety so.........

Here are Surprise and I a couple of weekends ago.......freezing!!
We had been for a walk for a change so that we were lower than the hedge to avoid with windchill!!

.......and here is my entry- see the similarity!?
Have to say Charley's hat is rather more fetching than mine :0)

The stamped imaged is, again, Cuddly Buddly Charley with Willow that I coloured with Promarkers. I used one of my new Crafts Too banner dies and found a Paper Smooches sentiment that says "Surprise!"

Nah...on reflection there is no similarity at all -I may be small but I'm not that cute!!

The following challenges were the inspiration
Passion for Promarkers - #193 Cut out your image
AGOAC - #74 Animals

Thanks for visiting, I appreciate it x
Spring into Spring
It's been a very long time since I have done any decoupage and I knew that I had the perfect House Mouse paper to cut out and here it is...........

I'd forgotten how therapeutic it can be and thoroughly enjoyed snipping....prepare to see more!!
I mounted backing papers (Hunky Dory) and the image onto black card added a sentiment and that's it ready for Joanna Sheen's - Spring into Spring Challenge
Day off today and I'm not so tough any more to ride in the rain and cold (Yuk!) so I'll be back later
with another offering.
Cheerio for now x

Spring has Sprung

I can't tell you how chuffed I am to have been chosen as one of the Top 5 for Allsorts' Vintage Challenge -  it's my very first accolade ~Woohoo!! Somehow it makes all the effort very worthwhile and I appreciate all the lovely people that take the time to have a gander at my efforts - so many thanks!!

Anyway, enough gushing and onto the matter in hand. As I write this, the sun is out and it's actually reasonably warm (behind glass!!) so perhaps spring has sprung. Hence the following card for
Allsorts Challenge - 201 Spring has Sprung

Still using up freebie backing papers and paper pieced the flower pot. The image is Flower Power. I cut the tag from white cardstock, stamped the sentiment and attached twine, seam binding and a daisy charm.

Thanks for calling xx

Wednesday 3 April 2013

Back to work tomorrow so I thought I'd better get a real big crafty fix today,
hence a second card and this one is for

I haven't made an easel card for a while and I thought the image lent itself to an "upright" card. The papers were, again, magazine freebies and the stamped image is Eleanor (who I think is gorgeous!!) from Crafter's Companion,  Buttons and greeting came from stash and that's it!!

Enjoy the rest of the day and hope it's sunny where you are!! x

Back to the normal style/type today!! This card was inspired by three challenges...........

Passion for Promarkers - Fantasy (Mermaid)
Inky Chicks - Challenge #1 Use a background (Under the sea)
I Love Promarkers - What's your favourite colour (Turquoise-at the moment!!)

The beautiful images are from Cuddly Buddly (again!!) Mermaid Lily and Under the Sea and were coloured with Promarkers.  The papers (inside and out) were magazine freebies that I had stashed away.

A (not very good!!) shot of the inside.

That's all for now. I appreciate you calling xx

Tuesday 2 April 2013

Vintage....now there's a conundrum,
never quite sure where to start and quite out of my comfort zone!!
So...... here goes nothing for the

I downloaded the image and printed on cream card, duffed up the edges a bit and inked, had a good hunt in the treasure chest for anything that looked remotely aged. Die cut a corner and flourish and sanded them back a bit, added a rolled rose and a sentiment and here it is...

I'm not sure....you decide!!

This is the inside, I thought the paper looked a bit like turn of the century wallpaper!

That's all for now-thanks for calling x
