Sketch

Hello everyone. Hope you had a good weekend and have recharged your batteries for the coming week!!

I am pleased to be sharing my DT card for The Cutie Pie challenge. The lovely Lisa has done a fabulous sketch for this Birthday challenge and here's what I did with it...

Our sponsors are Flat Friends and Just Some Lines . I chose to use a Flat friends image that I coloured with Promarkers. I used a melee of Nitwits papers, my La-la Land heart banner die and a Martha Stewart punch.
The seam binding looks burgundy in the piccie but it is shocking pink!!

I would like to take part in these challenges

Sister Act #26
Crafty Catz #200 - Birthday Card
 Polly Craft # 8 - Birthday Girls

I  hope you will go and have a peep at what my fellow Cuties have been up to and do join in won't you?
AND don't forget that if you are a follower there is some candy to be had because not only have we reached 700+ cuties, it is also our Birthday!!!

Hope you have a lovely day xx

Acorns actually!...

Good Evening my lovelies. I hope you are all well and that you have had a good weekend.

We have been busy in the garden and tidying up paddocks and such, so sadly not a lot of crafty time for me until now and I am here to share what I have made.

I couldn't resist Alvin ( although I am not happy with my colouring today. I just couldn't get it right...grrrr!!) as he is a perfect accompaniment to my Happy Harvest papers. The sentiment came with the digi set and I used Dienamics dies for the banner, arch shape and borders.

I was inspired by these challenges

Crafty Little Fairies - Autumn colours
Simply Create Too #47 - Autumn/Fall
Creative Corner Challenge - Great Outdoors
Digistamp Boutique - September Monthly Challenge

Right, that's me...off to decide what culinary delights to throw together for Monday's dinner!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely evening xx

For the lads

Yay!!! Friday at last, another tiring week so 6.30 this evening can't come soon enough!!

I have a card for a little fella to share before I leave for work.

The image is from Bugaboo and he was coloured with Promarkers. The backing papers are ever so old and I've no idea where from. I used Spellbinders Labels 12 for the die cut shape. The sentiment and layers were from the same paper kit and I added some little buttons to finish it off.

I am joining in at these challenges

PTT #139 - Anything Goes
LEJ Designs #72 - Lots of layers
Passion for Promarkers #217 - One for the boys
Fab 'n' Funky #186 - Button it up

Christmas treats

Hello one and all. Hope this finds you well this Wednesday.
No work for me today so I am going to make the most of it and get out for a ride in a bit. Surprise has done nothing but eat for a week and I don't want her thinking she's retired!!

I have a bit of decoupage to share today. I treated myself to a Goody bag when I went to The Range and there was a huge Papermania pack included and this is what I have done.

I was inspired by these challenges

Crafty Catz #199 - Decoupage

Right, now it's getting light I am off to tack up and go now the fog has lifted a bit!!

Have a good one and see you soon xx

Pretty in Pink

Hello crafty friends and a warm welcome to my new followers, so happy to have you share your time with me.

I have a vision of pinkness to share today with a little green thrown in for good measure.
A favourite colour combination of mine when creating a pastel card.

I don't know where the digi image came from as it was filed away in my "bits and bobs" folder, probably a freebie at some time. I thought she rather looks like one of those "ladies that lunch" !! She is coloured with Promarkers to match the papers and the sentiment ( also freebies).  I used a punch for the flowers and finished off with some seam binding and pearls and gems.

I would like to enter my card in these challenges

Crafty Ribbons #62 - Anything goes with ribbon
Charisma Cardz #37 - Fave colour combo (pink  & green)
Sweet Stampin' - Glamour & Glitz

Whatever you are up to I hope it's a good day for you.

Toodles for now xx

Buttons and berries

Hello everybody!
Surely it's not Monday already...who pressed fast forward again?!!

I'm sure with each passing year that time gets quicker or is it just that we have to cram so much more into life these days? I don't know, but one thing's for sure pondering the meaning of life on  Monday morning is NOT good!!

Now I've given you something to consider here is today's card. I had a fancy for doing something a little different and this is the result...

This is the first time I have inked this Woodware stamp. I decided to fill the "bubbles" with buttons, card candi and glitter and I am quite pleased with how it turned out. I had to do some colouring afterwards though!!

I am joining in at these challenges

Allsorts #225 - Button it (real ones & an embossed border)
Sister Act #25 - Anything Goes

If you look to the right you will see that The Cutie Pie Challenge are offering candy to our Followers.

Wishing you a good day xx

Good Morning Peeps. Hope you are well this Sunday.

I am playing along at these challenges

Pixie Holly

Yay, Friday at last and what a week it's been, the old grey matter has had a good work out  for sure! We have had a new clinical computer system installed this week and my word  it is taking some getting used to.
Apparently, in no time at all, we won't know how we lived without it...we'll see!!

Anyway enough of me wittering on about work, let me show you my card for today.

This is Pixie Holly and sentiment that I managed to get  when she was free at Pollycraft. She is coloured with Promarkers (no change there then!) and her wings and wand were stickled! I embossed some pearl card using petite dot embossing folder and echoed the red of the scalloped circle with triangles under each corner...simples.

I am joining in here

Tuesday Throwdown # 165 - Things with Wings
Crafty Cardmakers #100 - Winged things
Papertake Weekly - Make it Sparkle
Bye for now and have a good day xx

Christmas Cheer

Helloooo!! Today I am sharing my DT card for our new challenge at

This time we are inviting you to share your favourite Sentiment
(and don't forget to tell us why).

This is what I did...

I coloured the sweet LOTV stamp with Promarkers to match the Bo Bunny paper. I found the sentiment in DoCraft's Digital Designer among lots and lots of useful verses and phrases (I didn't even know they were there!!).  I  thought that it suited this stamp perfectly as she is going to such great trouble to get her centrepiece just right for her guests!!

I am playing along at these challenges

The ABC challenge - V for Very Cute
Creative Craft Challenges #19 - Use Ribbon
LEJ Designs #71 - Winter wishes

Off to work now so I will wish you a good day xx

Pip

Two posts in one day, can't you tell it's been raining, having said that we now have glorious sunshine!!

I know I have already shared a Lil Dumpling with you this week but I just can't resist them!!

This little sweetie is Pip and she was coloured, as usual, with my Promarkers. I decided to tone down the autumnal shades this time although the floral paper has various shades that echo the changing colour of the leaves. I also found some peach seam binding and some very old flowers to balance the bow and sentiment.

The inspiration came from these challenges

Ribbon Girl - Colour Challenge Peach/Orange
Shopping Our Stash #119 - Oldest flower
Craft Your Passion #180 - Autumn/Fall Colours
Inky Impressions #126 - Food Glorious Food (Apples!)
I Love Promarkers #186 - Anything Goes
Divas by Design - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, I enjoy your company!! xx

Snooze time

Well, a couple of hours at work turned out to be all day yesterday...grrrr, but as my DT buddy Carol pointed out I will have more pennies for stash...yay!!

I hope Wednesday finds you all well and the weather being kind to you.

I have another card of the male variety to share with you today.

The image is called Siesta Time and I had another go at colouring with Spectrum Noirs. FYI he is drinking non-alcoholic lager (poor thing...yuk!). The edges of the paper were distressed to suggest soft brushed cotton and I used my lavish branch  and open scallop dies.
I twisted some button twine around the die cut so that it looks as though the sentiment is hangingfrom the branch but it doesn't show particularly well in the photo :0(

I am playing along with these..

Cards for men - String it up
OLLCB - Magnificent men
Clear it out - Men and punches
Ladybug Crafts Ink - No squares Allowed
Just inspirational - Dies and punches

That's me for now. Have a good one whatever you are doing xx

Dies and Punches

Good morning folks and I hope you are well this Tuesday morning.
I have to go to work for a couple of extra hours...how dare they!!
Before I go I must let you know that there is a new challenge starting at Oldie but a goodie today and we are inviting you to get out those old punches and dies.

Tonic Studios are sponsoring this challenge and they are generously offering a FABULOUS prize..Look at this lot!!

 Here is my card

The image I have used is from Digi Darla which I was fortunate to win a while ago. I found the papers in my scrap box (Cuddly Buddly last Christmas!) which adds to the hand crafted nature of the card. I used various punches and dies including MS PATP punches, SB dies and the flowers were made using a tonic punch.

It looks as though it might take her some time to knit that throw!! Actually, thinking about it I haven't done any knitting for a while, perhaps it's time to get the needles out!!

I am playing along with these challenges

Chocolate, coffee and cards # 48 - Anything Goes
Sister Act # 24 - Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes

Anyway must love you and leave you.

Have a good day and don't forget to come and play for a chance to win those dies xx

For the Boys

Happy Monday Everyone!
It's a good one too because we have a new theme at
The Cutie Pie Challenge, our sponsor is

and our winner will receive a selection of digis
 from Di's fabulous online store!!

This time it's One For The Boys...it still has to be CUTE though and
I'm sure my contribution fits the criteria!!

He is called Russell and was coloured with my Promarkers. The papers were a recent acquisition to celebrate the coming autumn ( any old excuse for MORE papers!!). I used a Marianne set and have left the front sentiment free so as not to hide the  papers or die cuts.

Hope you have the time to come and join us and don't forget to make it CUTE!!

I am playing along here

4 Krafty Girlz #1 - Anything Goes
Pollycraft #7 - Harvest colours
Bearly Mine # 103 - A fall colour challenge (entry #2)
My Time To Craft #234 - Autumnal colours
Marianne's Design Divas - Anything Goes

'Tis the Season

Good Evening and I hope you have had a good weekend. It's pouring with rain at the moment so it's quite dark already. The shape of things to come I guess :0(

Anyway, I have been playing this afternoon and have had a dabble at some watercolouring. I am NOT very good at it and my little girl looks like something I saw on TV in the back of Del Boy's yellow Reliant Robin once ( go on admit it you know exactly what I mean!!)

Ta da...here she/it is...

On reflection she perhaps doesn't look THAT bad ( who am I trying to kid...I am sitting here chuckling away to myself!!). That's it I'm off to remove the topper, you may well see the card base recycled with something else on top!!

Enjoy the rest of your evening, if I haven't scared you too much. I bet there's a Rocky Horror Challenge Blog somewhere...I'd be sure to win!!

Take Care xx

Beary Christmas!

Good Evening my crafty friends and I hope you have had a lovely day. We have been blessed with sunshine here in Dorset today, a little chillier than we have been used to but I've managed to get loads done in the garden before the rain comes back. I then treated myself to some time in my work room and here's what I did...

I felt the need to make another Christmas card and use my lovely new LOTV stamp ( I won it...don't worry I haven't been spending again...as if!). I coloured the little bears to compliment the Christmas in the Country paper. The fab ribbon was part of a prize bundle from Crafty Ribbons and the pine cones are from Joanna Sheen's new Signature die range. I cut them in Kraft card and then sponged them with DI's in Frayed Burlap and Walnut stain for the appearance of texture and finished off with white pen.

I am entering these challenges

Crafty Creations # 239 - Lets get Krafty
Ladybug Crafts Ink - Winter Wonderland
Cute Card Thursday #286 - Hip to be square
Christmas Stampin' All year long #33 - Cute and Cuddly

More pets...

Morning all!! What a wet and windy night!!

I got waylaid yesterday so didn't make it back with my dog project as promised so here it is...

...and no, the dog is not called Spot!!

On reflection I think I went a bit overboard with the spots. Hope it won't affect my Step-Dad's cataracts, as it's for his Birthday!! The image is from one of  LOTV's Black and White Sketch pads that I coloured with Promarkers. The papers were more freebies.

I am joining in at

Party Time Tuesdays #137 - Button it up
I Love Promarkers # 185 - 3 different shapes
 (square, rectangle & triangle)
The Squirrel and The Fox # 52 - It's raining men

Off to work so Toodles for now and I hope you have a good day xx

Perfect pet

Hello Bloggers. Isn't it chilly!? I even had to wear a fleece  this morning to have a play with Surprise...which leads me nicely to today's card.

I've had this Kanban stamp (which is part of the  Little Friends set) for a little while and it had yet to see ink so I thought I would use it for the latest Passion for Promarkers Challenge, Perfect Pets. Now, those of you that visit regularly know that, other than my wonderful Family, my pony and my dogs are my other loves ( oh and mustn't forget Mo the stable cat...not sure you've met her yet!) so I had to choose a pony as my Perfect Pet. I managed to resist colouring the image with bay pony coloured promarkers though. The papers are Tilly's Daydream. I thought that for a change I would use some of my many paper flowers, (which I tend not to use due to postage costs,) to compliment the paper.

I am also joining in at these challenges

Use it Tuesday #63 - Friendship ( Old and unused Stamp & flowers)
Bearly Mine #103 - A fall colour challenge (orange/green)
Papertake Weekly - Child's Play
LEJ Designs #70 - Autumnal Colours

Thank you for sharing your time with me.
I can't offend the dogs  of so will be back later!! xx

Tuesday 10 September 2013

Wot no colouring...!!

Good Morning and I hope it's fine wherever you are!

I have a "grown up" card to share with you today,
the idea borne from several challenges.

The starting point was the background which was made using my Big & Juicy ink pad together with perfect pearls spritzed with water and then squished with water colour card. The stamp is new and came complete with the sentiment .  I bought it to encourage me to live on the wild side and do something other than colouring!! The butterfly die was free with a magazine some time ago and I just had to go with black. To finish off I simply knotted seam binding ribbon around the topper and matted on black card.

My inspiration came from these challenges

Crafty Ribbons #60 - Anything Goes with Ribbon
A Little Bit Crafty - Clean & Simple
Allsorts Challenge #223 - Butterflies
ABC44 - Sympathy

Thank you for stopping by xx

The blues...

Hello my lovely crafty friends
and I hope you are well on this Monday morning.

I have an extremely blue card to share with you today. Another colour that I don't choose that often but, as is so often the case, it's turned out really well!

The stamp and papers were free with a magazine last year. The little skater was coloured with my Promarkers and I matted on two colours of card to add layers. I wanted a definite masculine feel to this card so the the little die cut was just about right I thought.

Here's a shot to show the layers.
It looks a little washed out in these pictures, probably because
the sun has deserted us today :0(

The inspiration came from these challenges

Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge #141 - Layer it up
Christmas stampin' all year long  #32 - Layers
Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Got the blues
Here Come The Boys #60  - Blue Christmas in September

Thanks for your time and take care xx

Thursday 5 September 2013

Evening crafters, me again and I hope you have had a good Thursday.

I have another just for fun card to share with you this evening...

...don't you just love her?! I know I do!

She's from Mo's Digital Pencil. I paper pieced the chair using magazine freebie papers and the rest of her (and cat) was coloured with promarkers. A really quick and easy card.

I am entering my card in these challenges

Mos DP2 Challenge #201 - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by and for all the wonderful comments you leave me.
It makes my efforts (and sometimes tantrums!!) worthwhile!!
Busy weekend ahead so I shall see you in a few days for a catch up!! xx

Favourite flower...

Morning all and welcome to Thursday which means a new challenge at

...this time we would like to see your creations featuring your favourite flowers or trees and don't forget to tell us WHY.

Now, being a country girl I couldn't possibly have favourites!!. However, I DO have a favourite flower stamp and it's Zinnia. Why is it my favourite?...simply because it's so pretty and can be coloured to
co-ordinate with any backing papers or can be the stand alone feature on a card/project. The simplicity  also means that it can be used for many different occasions.

In this case I used the papers as my starting point and coloured with my Promarkers to compliment (just a little artistic licence with the colours then!!). The die cuts are from a Die-namics Set and the sentiment is from LOTV. Hope you like it.

I am entering these challenges

Stampin' for the Weekend - Colours of summer
Sweet Stampin' - Spots and stripes
AGOAC - Use 2 backing papers

Whatever you are doing I hope it's a good day and I hope you will spare a few minutes to have a look at what my lovely team mates have been up to and play along!

 See you soon xx

Wednesday 4 September 2013

Very pink...

Hello my crafty companions  and I hope your  Wednesday has been a good one.  Since the fog lifted this morning we've had glorious sunshine...and long may it continue,  having said that the ground is positively parched so perhaps a little rain would be a blessing.

I have a confection  of pinkness to share with you this evening. I have to be honest I wouldn't normally do such "overload"  BUT (like liver and onions) I do like it once in a while!!

The lovely papers are from Nitwits. The adorable image is Wish Upon a Star and she was coloured with PINK Promarkers! My lovely Marianne die provided the shiny silver mat that she is on and to complete the ensemble a seam binding bow and sentiment.

I am playing along at these fabby challenges

Passion for Promarkers - Pink & pearly
Creative Card Crew #44 - Things with wings
Christmas cards all year round  - Christmas Fairies with a little sparkle
Sparkles Christmas Challenges # 32 - Non-traditional colours

Wellington

Hello peeps  I hope this finds you well and thank you to my new followers. I am delighted that you want to spend time with me..you are most welcome!

Today I am sharing a lazy card with you, meaning I didn't do any colouring! I am so ashamed to say that I bought this Wellington kit yonks ago and had forgotten all about it until the weekend, when I was on the hunt for a certain coloured paper - which incidentally I didn't find!!

It was a simple case of matting and layering , adding a ribbon and button and sticking a topper and sentiment on top. Not too challenging but nonetheless I was really pleased with the final result!

I am entering these challenges

MMCS #9 -  Boys Only
Card Crafters Circle #90 - For the Boys
Creatalicious #54 - For the Boys

Thanks for indulging my laziness!! Toodles for now xx

Sentimental...

Good evening. Hope you are well on this glorious evening.

I have something a bit different (for me!) to share with you.

Just a sentiment and embellishments, unheard of!! I used MME Come away with me papers and cut out the aperture with Marianne dies. I popped a computer generated sentiment behind and used a punch for the flowers and the tags came from one of the papers. I am really rather chuffed, so thanks Brenda for a great theme at Allsorts #222 - It's all in the sentiment.

I am also joining in with these

Craft Mojo - Autumn colours
(russets, tan, green and midnight blue skies)
Just for Fun - Colours of Autumn

Enjoy your evening and see you tomorrow xx

Spots and Stripes

Good Morning lovely peeps. Today I am sharing my DT card for Oldie But A Goodie. Our theme this time is spots and stripes and the sponsor is Bugaboo stamps. I used the cheeky Merry Christmas to Ewe.

The papers are Fancy Pants Home for Christmas (note to self...get more!!) and the cheeky sheep was coloured with Promarkers. The sentiment is by Craftworks from a set that I bought last year. Oops, I have just realized I didn't glitter the hat trim and bobble!!

I am playing along at
Crimbo crackers challenge #49 - Jingle bells
Sweet Stampin' -Spots and stripes
AGOAC - Use 2 backing papers

Hope you will take a peep the challenge blog and join in,just remember to use something older than six months and follow the theme...simples!!

Christmas in September

Hello one and all, it's a new Cutie Pie Challenge  today and our theme this time is Christmas in September and our lovely sponsor for this challenge is Crafty Ribbons.

I have been really getting on with making my christmas  cards, largely due to the challenges I have been supporting mind you! No matter, I am really quite organised this year and am NOT buying any more christmas stash (maybe only for a day or two!!),

Here is my DT contribution...

I used a Wee Stamps Digi called Holly, she is adorable and a joy to colour. I matted her on to good old spellbinders scalloped circle. The paper is First Edition Nordic Christmas. All the edges were "aged" with antique linen distress ink. The sentiment and die are from Whimsy and the seam binding and bells from  my stash.

I am joining in with

Crimbo crackers Challenge #49 - Jingle bells
Digi Haven - Old/Vintage
The Hobby House #4 - Hobby House Artists (Sylvia Zet "Holly")

I do hope you will pop over and take a look at what my Team mates have been up to and then join in with our Christmas challenge...remember though it must be CUTE!!

Toodle pip for now xx

Vintage Christmas

Evening crafty friends and visitors. Hope you have had an enjoyable weekend. I've done the usual animal related pursuits, followed by the final victoria sandwich creation of the year for cricket teas ( they never tire of it apparently...praise indeed!!), Sunday roast and I even managed to grab some more crafting time!!  With such a fabulous array of challenge themes about at the moment, it was difficult to decide which to start with. But decide I did, and here's what I made...

The stamp is new by Stampdendous which I coloured with my Promarkers. The snow has been frosted with stickles, on the boughs and clear Wink of Stella on the ground (sadly the light was bad and neither showed up ). The papers are also new, they were one of the items that fell in my basket in The Range the other day. I aged the edges of the paper and card and distressed with walnut stain distress ink. The final touch was a ribbon and bow with a snowflake charm...and there you have it.

I am joining in with these challenges

Christmas Card Challenge #40 - Use something new
Winter Wonderland - How charming
Simply create too #45 - Vintage/old

Have a good evening and see you soon xx
