Blue and White - Christmas with The Cutie Pies

Ho, Ho, Ho...it's Christmas time again!! I so look forward to sharing my card for this challenge as it means that there is one less card to make!!

The theme this time is

BLUE and WHITE

I loved colouring this chap although he was not what I intended to use. Unfortunately my printer would not play nicely so I was unable to use an image from our sponsor

Anyway, all's well that ends well. Replacement cartridge received so I am back in business!!

It seems so wrong to be excited about Christmas cards when we are enjoying such settled weather here in the UK. My animals aren't particularly happy and don't quite know what to do with themselves and spend their day seeking shade as the sun moves around the garden. It's a relay in the mornings, the dogs get walked at 5.30am (yes...really!!) then I ride Surprise. It's really lovely at that time of day and at the moment the hedges are full of honeysuckle which smells amazing.

Hope you will join us this time, just remember to use a cute image...simple as that!!

See you soon xx

AYLI Embossing

Hellooo everyone. It's time for your fortnightly conundrum from

... this time it's EMBOSSING, dry or heat we don't mind!!

For me it has to be heat embossing as I find the melting process magical, even after many years of doing it, and I love the silky smooth feel of the image once it has cooled.

While I was sorting my stamps last week I found a Sheena Douglass set that was free with a magazine so used that for my card today. Heat embossed with a white powder and then I simply inked a background. I should do this more often as it was really therapeutic .

I couldn't leave without showing you my little helper, Bumble, photobombing or should that be
photo Bumbling!! It was just as well Bowie was bird watching at the time otherwise the card might have been in danger of being squished!!

I hope you will manage to join in.

See you soon xx

Sunny Yellow

I actually found some time to make a just for fun card and drew inspiration from a challenge or two and came up with this...

I decided to organise my rubber stamps by brand  and,  in doing so, found many old favourites that haven't seen ink for quite some time and chose a sweet LOTV stamp. She was coloured with Promarkers and, although you can't see it, given a generous addition of stickles on her boa. The papers are from The Lovely Studio.

It is somewhat grey and drizzly here so housework is on the agenda this morning and as we are on holiday we are out to lunch. Hope your day is a good one.

See you soon folks xx

Spots and Dots - Cutie Pie

I always have good intentions when I get freebies with magazines but rarely act on them. However, the papers that came with Making Cards last month really inspired me. They are also perfect for the latest challenge at

where the theme is Dots and Spots.

I used a stamp from a set by our sponsor Crafty Sentiments and coloured her onesie in rainbow colours to match the spots.

I loved the paper so much that I made another card using one of the toppers too.

If spots and dots are your thing together with a super cute stamp, topper or even decoupage please come and join in.

Hope to see you there xx

Furry Friends for Hubby

Hello again, I lied...it's not the other side of the weekend, it's Friday and it is my Hubby's birthday today so I must share his card that was made with a few challenges in mind.

Of course it had to feature a dog as he loves our two very much indeed!!

I used a favourite paper from Nitwits Collection, called Tail Wags too for this layered fold back card. The sweet dog is from a Whimsy Stamps collection, aptly called Furry Friends. He was, of course, coloured with Promarkers.

Martin is, unfortunately, working today but hopefully he will manage to finish early so that we can spend the day together.

I really will see you on the other side of the weekend this time!!

Favourite Card Shape - AYLI

Hello my lovely blogging buddies. Wherever you are in the world I hope the weather is being kind to you. We have been enjoying some glorious days here in Dorset, hence my absence!!

I am here to share some inspiration for you to join us at

The theme this fortnight is Your favourite card shape.

Other than square, my favourite is made with my Go Kreate Frilly Frame die set. I waited so long to get my hands on a set, many years ago, and I am so glad I did as it is one of my most used dies.

The sweet fox is from  a set that I bought from Mama Makes. He was coloured with Promarkers and the papers were from a pad that I picked up in The Range...as you do!! the embossed panel was made using a folder that came free with a magazine which I inked for a bit of definition.

That is me for today. See you the other side of the weekend. Have  good one, when you get there xx
