How do you add ribbon?

Hello!! Hope you are all doing ok, wherever you are in the world.

Don't be alarmed but there is not a cute image in sight on my card today. Instead I used one of the rather lovely sentiments from LOTV. The equally lovely papers are from a Tilda pad that I have been stroking  had for over ten years and finally used!!

It is hopefully to inspire you to join in the new challenge that starts today at

As You Like It Challenge

and your prompt this time is to show us how you add ribbon to your cards. I may have mentioned once or twice  that my ribbon collection is almost as vast as my papers!! Sadly I don't use ribbon too much these days but when I do it's to add a bow which I always think adds a really nice finishing touch.

Thank you for dropping by and for your kind comments on my recent makes. It is much appreciated.

Have a good weekend and see you soon xx

Christmas Cutie Bling!!

Hello!! I know, it's me again...three posts in the space of a week, that is rare these days!!

Anyway the reason for my post today is another Christmas card for

where we are covered in BLING!!

Here is my bit of inspiration for you

and typically the sparkle and shine really does not show up as well on the screen as in real life.

Trust me it is very sparkly!! I had used my last piece of glitter board so had to improvise using white cardstock and my trusty Glamour Dust Crystal glitter to make the snowy scene. The cute snowman and companion dies are from Lawn Fawn, coloured with Promarkers.

See you soon xx

Little Daisy

Happy Friday everyone. Hope you have had a good week whatever the world has thrown at you!!

I am here to share a sweet little lady from our sponsor over at

where the theme is always Anything Goes, just as long as your image is hand coloured.

I really enjoyed colouring this little cutie with my Promarkers and am relatively pleased with her Farrah Fawcett hair!! ( I seem to be revisiting my youth a lot lately, wonder why that is?!) I bought the Pretty Posies paper pad aaaaages ago and broke the seal for this card and used a layout that featured greatly when I was new to papercrafting, two patterned papers with a pretty ribbon to cover the seam. Simple but it still works.

Anyway I have blathered on long enough so will take my leave and wish you all a lovely weekend.

See you very soon xx

A bit of pink

Hello friends, it's all about  pink at As You Like It Challenge today. We are looking forward to seeing your projects showcasing pink and one other colour. Full details here!!

When I use pink on a project I always reach for some shade of green. Somehow it just seems the right choice as Mother Nature shows me in my garden!!

Here is my pink and green card.

I used a rubber stamp from Lili Of The Valley (who happen to be our sponsor this time) .This was coloured with Promarkers . The beautiful papers are Paper Boutique's Farmyard Friends and just to balance the card I used a foliage die and the lovely Moonstone Fabulous flowers die set.

Perhaps when it is too hot to sleep tonight (if you are in the UK) you can do a bit of crafting!! Honestly, hasn't it been dreadful?! On Tuesday night I even considered sleeping on Bowie and Bumble's cool mat but thought better of it when I remembered that it has a small tear held together with silage pit tape and I didn't want to be the one responsible for squidging out the gel!!

Anyway I have rambled on for long enough. Hope you all remain well.

See you soon xx

Hip to be square

You babes that were around in the 80's will now be trying to bash that Huey Lewis and the News earworm that is repeating itself!! Sorry!!

It's quiet here at the moment, I have been making a book of promises for Connor to give his Girlfriend for her Birthday. My word, I did not anticipate just how long it was going to take so cardmaking has taken a back seat at the moment. Anyway, I have a cutie to share with you today as it is the start of a new challenge at

where our theme is...you've guessed it...Hip To Be Square!!

I have made a little 4" square card using a super cute MFT doggy set. She was coloured to match the lovely paper and fussy cut too. I have been on the look out for zig zag dies but then remembered that I have a dozen different edged scissors from my early crafting days so used those instead!! (I knew they would come in handy one day!!)

I hope life is treating you well. See you soon xx
