Christmas Teddies

My word, these Monday's roll around so quickly, it's not usually my favourite day of the week as it is my long day at work (7.30am to 6.30pm...urghhh!!) however, I don't mind the Mondays where I get to share a little bit of Christmas cheer by way of a DT piece for

and this time we would LOVE to see your Cute Christmas Teddies.

Here's mine.....

...such a cutie and just look at the dinky little mouse on his head!!

Now, I really kicked back and went a bit wild on this one. No papers for a start, just look at all that white space too and guess what? I have been playing with inks...Oh I bet you are proud of me Brenda and Chrissy , not quite to your standards but I loved trying it, so thank you both for the inspiration you share and keep a look out for more inky cards in the future!! Anyway, the Stamping Bella stamped image was coloured with my Promarkers and the little sentiment was part of a set that came free with a magazine.

So, that's about it for today. Like everywhere, there is nothing much happening here but I do consider myself blessed to have my animals to keep me sane and in some kind of normal routine. The walks with the dogs are getting more colourful, although the storms of the weekend have stripped quite a few leaves off the trees. I have also started to do some Christmas shopping, from the sofa. For a few years now I have tried to source, at the very least, items made in the UK and this year have even managed to find gifts that were produced right here in Dorset.

Thank you for your continued visits and words of encouragement. It is much appreciated.

Hope this coming week is a good one. Take Care xx

What goes with blue?

Hello lovelies, how are you doing? Okay I hope in these strange October days.

Now I wouldn't say that I avoid blue, but it really isn't my "go to" colour so my DT piece for

was a challenge for me in itself....BLUE plus another colour.

My regular visitors will know that I am somewhat addicted to paper pads so it will not be a shock when I tell you that during a ( masked up, socially distanced) trip to The Works, five of the little devils jumped into my basket. I didn't have the heart to put them back on the shelf!! Anyway this one was blue and a pretty shade of pink, a perfect combo for this sweet pop up Christmas card. I used my Lawn Fawn die set for the base, cut a snowy hill that I glittered, and dug out Mama Elephant Reindeer Games stamp set for little Rudolph and his lady friend, who were coloured with Promarkers.

I hope that you will join us.

Keep well everyone and see you soon xx

Too Cute To Spook!!

Happy Monday everyone. Hope you are doing okay today.

I have such a cute card to share with you. It is my DT piece for

where we are going all ghostly and creepy in our Too Cute To Spook Challenge.

This is my gruesome card...

...did you really think I could do gruesome!!??

I used this image from our sponsor Di's Digis and it was a pleasure to colour with my Promarkers.

We have never been big on Halloween in our house and I can't imagine there will be very much Tricking or Treating this year but this little cutie will be sent to our Granddaughter Mollie.

Hope your week ahead will be a good one xx

Festive fabrics

Hello everyone, hope you are well today, if not then I hope there are better days ahead.

Well, the long awaited rain finally arrived and we had a pretty horrid weekend. I could bear the pleading faces of the ponies no longer and brought them in for a couple of nights (that sounds like I had them in the house!! Really... I didn't!!). Aren't the mornings and nights getting darker too? Had to happen some time I suppose!!

Anyway, while looking for fabrics to make some face coverings I found some lovely Christmas fabrics and felt so made some decorations. I hope that they will inspire you to join in at

As You Like It Challenge

where we are inviting you to share your Non-Card projects, with a little explanation of course.

I also discovered polystyrene balls in my stash so decided on a rag decoration. This bauble was relatively quick and easy. I started with 2" squares of fabric and poked them into the polystyrene using the non hook end of a crochet hook.

For this little felt ornament I took inspiration from Marianne who shares gorgeous handsewn decorations. I die cut the felt and then simply embroidered a snowflake freestyle (the wonkiness adds some charm I feel!!). I brushed up on my blanket stitch and stuck on a bow and ribbon hanger.

I have gingerbread men waiting to be stitched too so watch out for those.

That's all for today folks. Stay Safe xx
