With Love at christmas

Have been a busy girl with work and the build up to Christmas for the past few weeks so have been neglecting my card making. However grabbed myself half an hour of "me" time to make a card for the Joanna Sheen Challenge "With Love at Christmas"

The image is from Lili of the Valley, which I coloured with Promarkers, and the papers are from Nitwit collection Patchwork Christmas ( I have used this a lot and will continue to do so well into 2013!!). I added the silver bells to echo the die cut behind the greeting. Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

A Grown up Christmas

I think I  have made enough cute cards for the moment so have decided to go a bit more traditional for the Mother-in Law(!!) and enter it in the Natalie and Amy's Challenge

I downloaded the chapel from Just inklined and coloured it with Promarkers. I love that with downloads you can size them according to the dimensions of the card (I used an 8X8). I embossed some pearl card with a snowflake pattern and cut it into three to sit behind the image, as I wanted the look to be serene, and then mounted them on silver mirror board. The die-cut flowers were from my stash and I inked the petals and added some Star Dust Stickles to get the look I was after.

Oops! The card is square - honest! Just shows how bad my photography is!!

Thanks for looking.

Winter Friends

This is a stamped "Humphrey" image that I coloured with Spectrum Noir pens to match the backing paper. Not typically Christmas colours but nonetheless I was thrilled with the result.
I just love that he's giving his favourite friend a ride on the reindeer. Soooo Cute.

Anyway this is for the Crafters Companion Monthly Challenge - hope you like him and thanks for taking a look.

A Child's Christmas

This is Milly Winter Window from Lili of the Valley . She was coloured with Promarkers. I used papers from Nitwits Collections Patchwork Christmas, which I adore. The spellbinders snowflake has an ivory flower shaped flat back pearl atop and I used  seam binding, both from Wild Orchid Crafts .

I am entering her in the Wild Orchid Challenge "A Child's Christmas"

Hope you like her and thanks for coming to see me.

I was inspired by the "Paper piecing" challenge at A Gem of A Challenge so decided to give it a go.
I coloured the stamped image with Promarkers and cut out the bauble which I had stamped on
 co-ordinating paper.

A really simple technique, but very effective.

Bismarck

This is Bismarck from Mo's Digital Pencil, he is perfect for three of my work colleagues who have welcomed pups into their homes this year. This is the first of the three cards that I have made. He is coloured with promarkers and I have kept the layout fairly simple so as not to detract from his cuteness!!

He makes me want a terrier but I don't think my aged collies would cope!!

Cold and Frosty

Thought that this little card fitted the bill perfectly for the current Joanna Sheen Challenge "Cold and Frosty".

I added a cute little pull out tag for something a little bit different while still keeping it fairly flat for minimal postage!!

Hope you like it and thanks for visiting.

From Our House to Yours

Another Lili of the Valley image here, coloured with Promarkers.

I used a Cheery Lynn doily die offset behind the image on the inside of the card.

So, another Christmas card to add to my ever growing mound!!

I made this card for my Step Dad. I used pencils to colour the image for a change, which created a knee jerk reaction as Promarkers are my medium of choice!! However I was really pleased.

I just love this Lili of the Valley stamp, it is ageless and surely appeals to any of the male species!!

I am entering this little chap in The Ribbon Girl Challenge to create a boy card.

Birthdays

Spooky, had just made this card for a friend's up coming birthday and lo and behold the Crafters Companion Monthly Challenge is "Birthdays". I used the Strawberry Kisses "Together" stamp and coloured the image to match the papers.

Down the garden

This was a quick make for Joanna Sheen's Challenge "Down in the Garden".

I just love this little girl. I used felt to make the poinsettia and
was thrilled with the result, so much so I think I might have to
experiment with other materials through my die cutting machine.

Autumn time!!

Well I suppose it had to come sooner or later and for us here in picturesque Dorset it's a glorious one so far.  Having collected apples in her basket I thought this little maid would be an appropriate entry in the following challenges Papertake Weekly "A Hazy Shade Of Autumn" and Wild Orchid "Autumn Colours.

A Christmas Cutie

This was a digital image from Cuddly Buddly, I love these as they are so easy to colour. Am entering this in the Papertake Weekly Challenge "Things that make you go Awww".

The inspiration for this card came from the flowers and "Gold" enough for the Crafter's Companion Challenge I thought!

I was really pleased with this tag card, although I stamped the sentiment a little too far to the left. Never mind it was my first go. Am entering this in Natalie and Amy's first challenge "Anything Goes"

I have made a departure from traditional green and red for my christmas cards this year and tried something a little different. I am actually really pleased with the result.  Simple but effective I thought :0) - I suspect red and green will feature later on though!!
Am entering this one in the Joanna Sheen "Going Dotty" Challenge, it would be rude not to since there are dots galore on the paper, stockings and the birdie!!
