Sketch

Happy Saturday evening folks and I hope the sunshine is still with you as it is here in Dorset.

Hubby has an early start tomorrow so went to bed early and our youngest had cricket so I spent a happy hour in my work room having a play and this was the result...

The adorable image is from All Dressed Up Stamps which I found purely by chance due to a kind comment that was left for me and I'm so glad I did. The papers are MME Kate & Co Cambridge Court and I coloured the image with my Promarkers to match. I had a go at ribbon pleating, which worked quite well - once I managed to grab some threads!!

These challenges gave me the inspiration

Thanks for sharing your evening with me. See you soon xx

A bit of cutting and sticking...

Hello lovely peeps...nearly the weekend, but that means I go back to work on Monday :0( never mind, best get plenty of crafting in then!!

I have been decoupaging today and have to say I don't do enough of it especially with such an abundance of beautiful images available on CD roms these days.  This particular image is no exception and came from Joanna Sheen's Tom Mielko Project Book and it's gorgeous... who wouldn't want a house on the beach!?

I decided on a gatefold card for a change

Here's a shot of the decoupage, I always curl it with my scissors so that the edges are pretty much flat and the glue gel is hidden.

I used the paper that was suggested on the CD for the inside and added the pink gingham from my scrap box. Ribbon and flowers all from my stash.

The inspiration came from here

See you soon xx

Winter animals

Hello everyone. I have a CAS card to share today featuring one of my favourite horse stamps (impression obsession "santa horses"). It is such a beauty that it really doesn't need very much.

I coloured the santa hats to match the red mat and the seam binding and that's it!

I am playing along at these challenges

Sweet Stampin' Christmas - Winter Animals
Charisma Cardz #34 - One (colour -red)

Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely recent comments, I appreciate them all.

Dandelion wishes...

Good evening everyone hope you are well and looking forward to the weekend...again!  I have been enjoying my week away from work, yesterday my Mum and I visited Dorchester and found The Range. Our eldest Son and his intended are moving house next week so I had a bit of a "New Home" spend on some bits and pieces for them, and naturally some crafty bits "fell" in my basket!! I think I shall probably be going that way again nearer Christmas for some further research!!

I managed to find some time for crafting today while we had some light rain showers and this is what I made.

I got out an old LOTV stamp that I coloured with Promarkers. The papers are MME, I think, and I used forgotten stickers to add the sentiment (N.B it is 2 U and not 26!!). I also raided the card candi and used some sweetheart blossoms too. A bit of doodling worked quite well I thought.

I would like to enter these challenges

Fab 'n' Funky #182 - You can stick it
Crafty Creations #237 - Use a number (2 in this case)
I Love Promarkers #183 - Use a number ( 2 in this case)
Aud Sentiments #88 - Any sentiment

Thanks for sparing the time to come and visit, I appreciate it xx

More Bobbi!

Hello there peeps and I hope you are well.

I have another "Bobbi" to share this evening...

...isn't he cute? I know I say it every time!!

Anyhow I coloured him with Promarkers AND I wrote down the colours too (only because I'm on annual leave from work and not rushed!!). Satin, tan, cinnamon, sunkissed pink, coral, Ice greys 1,3 and 5, grey green, twilight sky and meadow.  The papers are a new find here, honestly, I could spend days browsing their beautiful papers!  Not sure where the sentiment stamp came from, but the tab is definitely from a
Die-namics set. I am joining in with these challenges...

(3 papers, 1 image, 1 sentiment, 3 embellishments = 3 pearls)

Must dash, can't miss The Great British Bake Off!!

Bright and Sunny

Evening all...me again! I've had a crafty catch up this afternoon while the cricket has been on!!
We spent yesterday mooching about at Weymouth, which was lovely...not been down there for a while so it made a nice change. Hubby treated me to a lovely Gorjuss journal  to put all my bits and pieces in (I am a compulsive horder...receipts, tickets etc, etc), so I am going to attempt to order the chaos that is currently in my kitchen dresser drawers...lucky I'm on annual leave for a week then!!

Anyway, here is my second offering of the day. Some great challenge themes this week that have encouraged me to do something a little different. So here it is...

The digi is another from the Pollycraft Li'l Dumplings set that I bought earlier in the summer. He is just a little darling and perfect for a littley starting school. He was coloured with Promarkers.

I cut two strips from a 12x12 paper to make the pleated paper rosette. The back has a white circle to write a message on. I simply used spotty ribbon for the hanger and hand cut a banner for the stamped sentiment.

I am playing along at these challenges

Cute Card Thursday #283 - Back to School
Crafty Ribbons #58 - Anything goes with ribbon
Charisma Cardz #33 - More than one fold
Card Crafters Circle #89 - Bright colours
Polka Doodles #34 - All things bright and beautiful

Thanks ever so for calling again. I promise I will leave you alone now!! xx

Enjoy

Happy Sunday to my crafty friends, old and new.

I have another male card to share today, inspired by a few challenges that caught my eye.

The stamp is an old LOTV favourite that I coloured with Spectrum Noir pens for a change.

I have  invested in the Die-namics Blueprints 3, (I've a feeling these are going to get a lot of use!) which provided the square and arched shape  that I backed  with acetate and strips of kraft card to suggest a window. The  acetate suspended enjoy sentiment is from my Paper Smooches Birthday Sampler set.

Well, that's my card and I am entering these challenges...

Papercrafting Journey - Anything Goes
Allsorts #221 - Use acetate
A Gem Of A Challenge - Anything with a B (Boy and branch)
Here Come The Boys #59 - Lazy Summer Days

Thanks for sharing your day with me and for your lovely comments.

See you soon xx

Favourite Shape

Morning lovely bloggers.
My, what a busy week I've had with DT posts and today is no exception as we start our new challenge at As You Like It. Your mission this time (should you choose to accept it!!) is to share your favourite shaped card (not a square...sorry!!) and we are sponsored by Sweet Stamps.

My  "alternative" today is a circle. I was rather flummoxed, as square cards were out of bounds, so I had a little tally up of the most used shape on my cards and guess what? it was a circle so...
this is what I have made...

I used my WRMK circle cutter for the base. The backing paper is new from First Edition.
The image is Santa Sitting  who's been coloured with Promarkers. My trusty scalloped circle spellbinders die had another outing and some sheer green ribbon added to compliment. The little sentiment tag was from a Craftwork Cards kit from many Christmases ago and was a perfect colour match.

I am joining in with these challenges

Winter Wonderland - Red and Green must be seen
The Hobby House #3 - Christmas
Allsorts #220  - Use your new stash (digi and paper)

Off to work now :0( but never mind I am on annual leave next week so have that to look forward to.

Have a lovely day whatever you are up to and thank you for calling xx

Mine's a pint...

Evening folks and I hope this finds you all well.  I had the most wonderful day at Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show and even got a kiss from a stranger ( pic to follow!!). We managed to see just about everything and were in awe of the fantastic displays in the Handicrafts tent. The purse is a little lighter...oops, but what the heck, life  isn't a rehearsal!! Anyway here's my new beau giving me a kiss...

...at no point did I mention he was human and I hadn't met him before today!! He's also famous and has recently been in The White Queen!!

His handler did a fabulous falconry demo from horseback which was amazing to watch and I was fortunate enough to hold on to him while the falconry display was being done...lucky me!!

Anyway...reality check...I have a busy few days ahead so thought I would post this card this evening.
 It's another fun, man card.

The stamp is from Wild Rose Studio " Time for a pint", that I coloured with my Promarkers and the sentiment from a Crafters Companion set. I added some corners with fine liner and some twine, but I'm not sure that I like that addition now it's been photographed...never mind I can snip it off later!!

I'm playing along here...

Incy Wincy Designs - One layer cards
Cards for men #17 - Funny Birthday

Thanks for visiting and for your ever inspiring comments xx

Country Girl...

Good evening lovely peeps  and I hope that the sun is shining where you are. It's been glorious in Dorset today and I hope it stays that way tomorrow as a friend and I are off to an agricultural show to see what the horsey world are up to!! Which leads nicely to my card which is farm/country themed...

I was inspired by a couple of challenges that I found as I was trawling through blogland and dug out Chloe by Elisabeth Bell who I coloured with Promarkers. The colour combo of red, green and cream  was dictated by the papers which were a freebie ( funnily enough I already had them in digi form). To continue the rustic feel I distressed the edges of the papers and the frame with ink.  I rarely use flowers these days due to the postage costs, but felt this card cried out for some, so duly added a mix of paper ones and a little resin rose. I added some faux stitching with a white pen for a little interest too. Hope you like her!

I am playing along at these challenges

The Ribbon Girl - August Colour Challenge Red
Creative Card Crew #43 - Down on the farm
Creative Creations Challenge - Bingo...Ribbon, distressing, Kraft card
That Craft Place - Stitch...real or faux (faux in my case)
Passion For Promarkers # 212- Favourite colour combination
(likely to become so over the coming months!)

Thanks for sharing your day with me and see you soon xx

Joanie

Good Morning peeps, hope this finds you well.
I am thrilled to be sharing my first card as a member of  the
Oldie But A Goodie Design Team.
The Challenge this fortnight is embossing. Rick St Dennis  is the sponsor and I chose
Joanie the Flower Child to feature on my card.

She is coloured with Promarkers and the paper is a very old pad by DCWV  Latte as is the metal embossing/stencil that I used to emboss the circle behind her. The Flower Power stamp is from a set by the same name .

I am joining in here

Thank you for calling and why not pop over to Oldie But a Goodie and join in the challenge. Just make sure you follow the theme and use something that is over six months old....go on, you know you have something hidden away!!

The challenge this time is nice and easy "Anything Goes" and the
sponsor for this challenge is Milk Coffee and my card features the lovely Charlotte and Strawberry Pudding.

She was coloured with Promarkers and I added glossy accents to the jelly (to make it shiny of course!). The lovely papers are from Maja Design Life in the Country and the fabulous ribbon was from a prize bundle at Crafty Ribbons. The little stamped greeting came from a magazine freebie set.

I have a pink and green creation for you today, a favourite combo of mine but not usually quite so vivid!

With Love...

Happy Saturday folks and I hope you are having a good one.
Rain here in Dorset, but never mind Con's cricket match has been cancelled so that means we get to eat the victoria sandwich I made this morning...every cloud and all that!! Mowing the lawn has been postponed (due to lack of interest and rain!!) but it meant I could make this card to share with you all!!

I've been having a bit of a rummage again and found my Boho Chic pad, which acted as the starting point for my card. I then discovered the little sweetie that is Patience which I printed off some time ago to fill a page and hadn't got around to colouring (shame on me!!). I used the current Passion for Promarkers Challenge Sketch as my plan and set to with the Promarkers! A button atop a flower and job done!!

I am entering these challenges too

Toodles for now. Thanks ever so for calling and for the lovely comments, which are always well received xx

Thank you...

Hello lovely peeps! Thank goodness it's Friday. I have had an exhausting week at work and haven't felt like doing anything much, other than sleeping. No matter, the week is past and I have a card to share...

You've got to love a bit of Bobbi, he's just so adorable, and perfect, with his bouquet of flowers, for a Thank You card .  I coloured him with Promarkers to match the DP's which are Little Yellow Bicycle's Fern & Forest. I added a length of seam binding ribbon, a couple of brads and a little stamped sentiment to finish off.

I am joining in at these challenge blogs

Squares!

Hello... it's Monday again and I hope yours has been Ok!!

A quick card to share this evening and yes...another CAS, but it's a boy card so it doesn't count really, as they don't appreciate the fancy stuff!!

The stamp is a very old Daisy and Don stamp that I coloured with Promarkers. The border is from a Martha Stewart borders and backgrounds set which is, again, ancient and finally the sentiment was a freebie from a magazine. It took longer to write this than it did to make!!

I am supporting these challenges

Thank you for paying me a visit, it makes my day!! xx

What a cutie!

Hello one and all and I hope this finds you well.
The OH wasn't working this weekend, which is just as well as we discovered a water leak thanks to a mahoosive water bill!! We managed to isolate it to the stable yard and managed to stop it...thankfully and then we had a few other things to do, so very little crafty time for me.  However, I have just managed to make this little poppet to share...

The image is from Humphrey's Corner Crafting Collection CD Rom (once again I am ashamed to say that it's another one that hasn't seen the light of day for some time, yet there are such delightful images on there!!). The spotty paper is from my stash. I used spellbinders scalloped circles to make the frame for the aperture with lilac whitewash core'dinations and then just added a seam binding bow and sentiment.

I would like to join in with the following challenges

The CD Sunday Challenge - Quick and Cute

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the weekend xx

Thursday, 8 August 2013

Good morning crafty peeps. Today there is a new challenge starting over at As You Like It and we are asking you to share your projects using your favourite ribbon or twine ( and don't forget to tell us WHY).

Our fabulous sponsor this time is

who are generously giving a £10 voucher to spend on......ribbon!!

Anyway on with my card.I had a dilemma, I really wanted to use seam binding (my default ribbon!!) but my project collapsed :0(
Spotty satin ribbon came to the rescue and here is what I made..... :0)

I am soooo chuffed with the result as it's only the second time I have made one. It could do with a bit of fine tuning but by the time Christmas is here I shall be an expert!! If you'd like to have a go, there is an instruction sheet that you can print off here.

I am joining in here

ABC Challenges #39 - Monochromatic (red & white)

Christmas Cards all year round -  Extravagant & fussy (extravagant use of ribbon?!)

Toodles for now and have a good day whatever you are doing.
If you have a mo pop over and see what my team mates have been up to xx

I'll get it!

Hello lovely peeps, I hope you are well today.

I really don't know what's wrong with me but I am enjoying the CAS look at the mo...it won't last but while I am in the "groove" here's another...ish!!

The image is Justin's Ice Cream, isn't he cute. It reminds me of when our eldest son, Dec, was little. At that time we had a lovely, but cheeky, spaniel who wouldn't think twice about pinching our tractor drivers' sandwiches out of their backpacks, he was such a gannet. On one occasion Dec was eating an ice pop, Bus came up, licked his opposite hand, Declan dropped the ice pop in surprise and the dog gobbled it up...plastic included!!

Anyhow, I digress, back to the card...coloured with Promarkers ( as per usual!). The papers are out of my scrap box, so could be anything that I've printed off!!

I'm joining in at these challenges

I have a simple card to share this evening inspired by the following challenges...

The image and sentiment are from LOTV and coloured with Promarkers. I mounted the image on complimentary paper/card for some added interest and, I think, it also makes the image pop. I cut the pennant freehand and Oh my word was it hard to resist getting out the gem pot!!

Enjoy your evening and see you soon xx
